Come and enjoy the Great Smokey National Park as never before. Escape the hustle and bustle, noise, and congestion of the hotel and motel experience by staying with us at Sugar Bear for the same price. The quite, very private setting and spectacular view makes this very clean-REAL log cabin THE cabin of choice. Sugar Bear offers a great place to relax and enjoy fantastic views of the mountains from the rocking chairs on the deck or hot tub while providing complete privacy. Sit on the swing on the patio and watch the sun rise over the Smokies and enjoy the peaceful sound of nature. This is the place for rest and relaxation!
Located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Sugar Bear is convenient from any direction. This is one of few cabins in East Tennessee with paved roads leading to level off-street parking and easy access to the front door for guests of any age. The open and level drive way offers a place for the kids to play, and a great place to enjoy a cook out. The driveway has ample parking for up to four vehicles and is an ideal place to park the motorcycle, boat or RV. There are no steep steps or inclines to maneuver to enter Sugar Bear making this a great location for the entire family.
The cabin has two levels. On the main floor is a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living room and master bedroom. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, and vistas of the Smokies from the covered deck immediately off the main level. We have just upgraded to Premium Digital Cable with all the sports channels providing the best quality viewing. For the kids (and most adults), we have games for children of any age, but you can bring your own too.
The lower level has two bedrooms with queen beds, TVs, and VCRs. Just outside is the hot tub and swing that have breathtaking views of the mountains.
Sugar Bear is a family owned cabin, and is not on a rental program and, when you call our number you are talking to the owner. We make it a point to visit monthly to ensure we are providing the best quality accommodations to our guests. We take pride in our cabin, and love to make it available for others to enjoy. You will find our cabin is older than some, but cleaner than any hotel, motel, chalet, or cabin!
Sugar Bear is a special place to stay. It is a traditional log cabin. We know not every potential guest wants to stay in a three bed room cabin, if only one bedroom is needed. The lay out of the cabin is very accommodating for those needing only one or two bedrooms.

Great location and good fit for our family of 4.
Sugar Bear Cabin is located right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The view is amazing and the cabin is very clean. There are not any fancy upgrades but the owners supply everything you need. The hot tub was great.
Wonderful and Secluded Cabin
This was a great cabin. Fully stocked with everything. Very clean. Conveniently located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Will definitely stay here again. Dean is great to communicate with as well.
Excellent property - would recommend to others!
The mountain view from the back deck was outstanding. The cabin was clean and well stocked with all needed items. All information provided by the owners was helpful and timely. My family enjoyed the stay and plan to come back again to this cabin.
Great location, Beautiful view...
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sugar Bear. Very comfortable and restful. We loved being situated so close to the attractions of both Pigeon Forge and Gatinburg while enjoying the quiet mountain setting! We hope to be back!
Beautiful cabin and excellent location!
My family loved Sugar Bear Cabin! We loved all the rocking chairs and the large back deck. We loved the hot tub! The kitchen was well-stocked. There were plenty of soft towels and we never ran out of hot water. I liked having the security system. There were family board games, and we especially enjoyed the cornhole game. The owner answered the phone when we called because we couldn't figure out how to get in the door (which turned out to be very simple) and we liked not having to keep track of a key the entire trip. The location of the cabin couldn't be beat--it was halfway between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, only a few minutes to each. The cabin was easy to get to and stood alone, not another cabin in view from the back deck. We absolutely loved this cabin and it was affordable enough that we had money left to enjoy some adventurous activities. Thank you so much!
Pros:Property was well maintained and offered all the basics.
Kitchen was well stocked and easy to find everything.
Easy access to attractions
Secluded, but there are neighbors(heard them sometimes but couldn't see them)
kids loved hot tub and foosball table
had emergency kit, and flashlights and utility info on fridge incase of power outage
offered discounts to teachers
no instructions for washer - what spot to put detergent( we looked it up online though)
no instruction on how to set alarm( texted owner and he was quick to respond with answer)
Beds were bouncy but firm
to many air fresheners (but we unplugged them)
Overall it is a great property and would stay there again. It was a comfy cabin and felt very relaxed. Plenty of games and chairs for chilling on the porch after a long day playing.
