When planning a family ski vacation, the term 'convenience' often comes to mind when thinking about how to keep everyone happy during your trip. Can someone come back to the condo if they get tired? Can we save some money by eating our lunch in the condo? We have 2 beginner skiers and 2 experts, how are we going to meet back up during the day? We are going to have to take turns watching a little one while the rest of the family skis, what can I do? If these are the questions you are asking yourself when planning your ski trip to Steamboat Springs, then staying at Storm Meadows will be the most 'convenient' answer to all your questions! Having a slope side condo that is ski in ski out makes it easy for your entire family to enjoy their day on the mountain! There is also a Free private shuttle that can take you from the condo down to the base area to start ski school on 'firm ground' or make a trip to downtown Steamboat for a day of shopping, ice skating or a trip to the water slides at the Old Town Hot Springs!
This specific unit at Storm Meadows C419 might just be the nicest Storm Meadows unit I have been in. It has been totally remodeled from the studs out, and feels brand new. Not only does it look and feel brand new, but there are million $ views out each window. You can see the entire front side of the Steamboat Ski Resort as well as south valley toward the Flattops Wilderness area (which is a great Summer time hiking destination) The kitchen area has stainless steel appliances, slab granite counters and everything you need to create a great meal for your family. The living room has plenty of seating on couches, a gas fireplace and flat-screen tv with surround sound speakers. The master bathroom even has a steam shower to help relax those tired muscles after a day on the slopes. This unit is very tastefully decorated as well, has comfortable beds and plenty of cabinets and closet space too! This unit is on the top floor, so you have vaulted ceilings, and don't have to worry about noise coming from neighbors above you.
The Storm Meadows Club condominiums are located a little higher on the ski mountain from the base of the resort, along Storm Meadows Drive. This complex is Ski-in / Ski-out via a green run called 'right of way' that leads down from the base of the Thunderhead lift to the base of the ski mountain and the gondola.
These units share a clubhouse facility that includes an outdoor heated pool, shared hot tubs, work out facility, exercise machines and sauna. During the winter months, these units are considered a little too far to walk back down to the base area, mainly due to the icy road with traffic being dangerous.
This complex does have a private shuttle that will bring you from the base of the condos, to the base of the ski resort and also to the grocery and/or downtown Steamboat Springs for shopping and dining.
There are many different buildings associated with Storm Meadows, and each one might have some pro's and con's compared to another building at Storm Meadows depending on what is most important to you and your family. This can impact the view you might have, access to a pool, whether the condo is Ski in/walk out or Ski In/Ski Out, access to private shuttle service or whether you can walk to Ski Time Square.
We have several properties at Storm Meadows Club Condominiums (A, B, C) as well as Storm Meadows Christie Base, so if you are getting confused on all the options and need to some help, feel free to give us a call and we can help point you in the right direction.

I loved visiting Steamboat Springs so much after purchasing a condo in town, that I decided to become a year round resident! So I can not only provide input towards the little things you wonder about . . . such as the best restaurants in town, but I can also give you a locals perspective on all the best places to fish, mountain bike, snowshoe, find the leftover powder stashes and all the other activities that keep people coming back to our Mountain town. I own a few units in town and I also manage several others for out of town owners, so let me know how I can help find something that meets your needs! Most importantly, you will also have someone locally to count on (via phone or at your doorstep) to ensure your vacation runs smoothly for you and your family!
Brad Luth purchased this condo in 2005
There are many lodging options to choose from in Steamboat, but few locations provide the convenience to the slopes at such a great value as the units at Storm Meadows Club Condos. Steamboat Springs is a great little mountain town with friendly locals and plenty of small town charm that keeps people coming back year after year!
You have direct access to the Ski Slopes of Steamboat, an outdoor heated pool and hot tubs, exercise room, private shuttle during the Winter - everything you need for a wonderful vacation in Steamboat!
This unit has the most beautiful panoramic views. It is a top floor end unit and is very quiet. We enjoyed the spacious well appointed rooms, the fireplace and feeding the magpies after breakfast. All of this and it is ski in and ski out too!
The instructions and directions provided by owner were spot on. The unit was clean and everything was in order when we arrived. The property is well maintained and the pool was lovely. Great central location. Easy walk to the Gondola and very short drive to the supermarket, downtown, hot springs, tubing and Fish Creek Falls. I plan to re-book this unit for a another vacation.
We just spent four spectacular days skiing in Steamboat. The condo has great views and ski in/out helps with kids if they want to go in for whatever reason. Everything went smooth and the owner was wonderful with everything.
My family had great time. The condo has a great view, was very clean, and very well-appointed.
Unit was clean and a decent size for 2 couples. Great view of the mountain and base from this top floor, corner unit. The on-site laundry room, pool and hot tub were nice features. Kitchenware could be better equipped to avoid running the dishwasher after every meal. It as somewhat inconvenient to have some light bulbs burnt out prior to arrival and be short on washcloths, but the property manager was quick to remedy the situation once we notified him. Overall a good value in Steamboat.
This was our second stay at Storm Meadows. Our check-in was seamless. The unit was perfect and the views could not be beat. Everything was smooth, easy and professional.
Pros: great location and amenities. Property manager was very helpful before the trip. Shuttle service was great- to and from lifts and into town-no need for a car ( if you need a car definitely get a four wheel drive, I got stuck going up the road since it was snowing- my fault I didn't get a proper car) Clean condo with amazing view. A little smaller than I thought but no issue. I would definitely recommend for four people or less. We had a great time and thank you very much!
