Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains our cabin is just minutes from Lake Lure, The Tryon Equestrian Center, Chimney Rock, Hickory Nut Gorge, and other local attractions. This log cabin is the perfect place to get away while still enjoying all the amenities that make you feel at home. You will enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Wild Cats Spur on Sugar Loaf Mountain from your porch. Don't be surprised if you glimpse a flock of turkeys or the beautiful deer that call the surrounding woods their home. You can explore Asheville, Tryon, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many historic sites from this cabin. You are always minutes away from fishing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, zip lining, and other outdoor adventures!
This cabin is 1 bedroom / 1 bath 400 square feet with a loft. It will accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. The bedroom offers 1 queen size bed. There is also plenty of storage for your clothes. In the loft, you will find 2 twin size beds which is perfect for children or teens. The bathroom offers a tub/shower combo. Cook your meals in the fully equipped kitchen or enjoy the many local restaurants in the area. TVs with satellite are located in the living room and bedroom. The cabin offers couples quiet time away or families a wonderful place to make memories.

Wedding/mountain retreat

The view was awesome. The cabin screen porch was great. I actually found the outside porch more appealing than the inside couch not comfortable for me but I did not use it much. Bed was comfortable. I was a little disappointed I could not make my coffee. No supples but filter.

Get away cabin

Actually this was our first time using VRBO the cabin was very nice. The location was perfect for our visit. There is one other cabin located on the property that is close but privacy is not an issue otherwise. We would highly recommend this cabin to others.

Getaway Cabin

Fantastic Experience

My family of four stayed at this property over the weekend and it was absolutely wonderful! The check in and check out process was seamless. The property had everything that we needed and TONS of storage space for clothes, etc. The location was very convenient as well. It could not have been a better experience.

Very quiet and relaxing.

Very nice and peaceful ideal for a couple. Everything you need but still very much in the country with a nice Mountain View. We have AT&T for cellular service and you can usually make a call at the cabin with basic text, but Data and doing much on the Internet is nonexistent. But would definitely recommend the cabin for a very peaceful stay!

2nd Honeymoon Adventures

Cabins at the Gap is just what the doctor ordered for peace and tranquillity! Luxuries of home in a beautiful setting that was perfect for our getaway! 8 days of beautiful adventures and a welcoming place to return after said adventures in Lake Lure and Chimney Rock! And everyone should stop at La Strada at Lake Lure. Thanks for sharing your beautiful setting! We absolutely loved it here and did not want to leave.

Mountain Get Away

Perfect small cabin for 2-4 people! We booked to be close to Tryon International Equestrian Center and was just a nice 15-20 minute drive with no problems! It is the same one bedroom cabins that are on the Tryon property - and a better value with a short drive. Highly recommend. There are 2 cabins together so a small barn could stay together! Washer and dryer a must due to 4 day horse show!! Perfect view and beautiful country location!

Short, sweet get away

Cabin was very clean. Well appointed. Nice views. Bed is a double (which is as listed) so that made the sleep a little less than fulfilling. There is room for larger bed in the room for sure. Hope they will consider updating that. Water pressure was not good. Decided just to skip washing my hair due to that. But bathroom was very clean. Would definitely go back and stay again

First I'd like to say that the pictures posted for this property and area do not do the cabins they're due justice. It's much more beautiful in person it's cozy it's clean it's perfect for a family or just a couple of adults looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life the location was perfect it was peaceful it was quiet it was in the mountains far enough away from everything to feel isolated but yet close enough not to feel too far away from civilization The cabins are very reasonably priced very affordable perfect for a couple of nights or even a week the second cabin nearby is far enough but yet close enough to bring friends or extended family to I'm hoping to come back in June again with my daughters and grandchildren they would love it I really can't say enough about the cabin outside or inside other than it's extremely beautiful it looks very well maintained it was very comfortable The best cabin I've stayed in in the past 2 years in and around the chimney Rock and Asheville area This is a place I am definitely looking coming back to in the future

Amazing

As soon as we walked in I was in love. Everything was very clean, organized, and it smelled clean. The property owners were very kind and turned the outside lights on for us just in case we arrived after dark. That was much appreciated because we did arrive late. Our first morning there we were greeted by huge turkeys! It was a close drive to the equestrian center and that was great. Will definitely stay here again and definitely recommend if you just need a little cute get away.

A cozy retreat

This was our second annual stay that The Gap. We love staying at these cabins. We come down every autumn to watch the leaves turn and disconnect from our phones. The cabins are cozy, warm and quiet. Stocked with everything we need. Close to Ingles nearby. And hiking trails. Great view!

Perfect for us

My husband and I stayed 2 nights here. It was just perfect for us. We spend a lot of time on the screened porch watching the turkeys wander around. Convenient location to necessities and restaurants on the lake. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you for sharing your space with us.

Perfect Getaway

Loved my stay in the getaway cabin. It was the perfect location - close to Tryon Equestrian Center and Lake Lure. Very secluded and private. The washer dryer was a life safer for me to wash my white show breeches between show weeks. Cabin was clean and the recliner chairs are the most comfortable chairs I’ve ever sat in! Think I may have to buy one for my living room!

Family Vacation

Nice quite place. Its like new. Beautiful sunsets and seen several deer and turkeys. It was a nice place out of town to unwind from Lake Lure daily entertainment.

Beautiful place, very clean and private. My only complaint would be the shower pressure and the slow water draining in the shower. Otherwise, great place. Close to river tubing, Chimney Rock, and lake Lure.

Cabins at the Gap

Thank you so much for the lovely stay! The cabin was well appointed, clean and in a very peaceful setting! My husband & I loved the proximity to amazing hiking trails and the convenience of a large grocery store only a few minutes away! We would definitely plan another stay and would not hesitate to recommend The Cabin’s at the Gap to friends and family!
