We stayed in Dinan for the Medieval Festival des Ramparts. Jasmine Cottage is a delightful place, close to the medieval ramparts and on the historic road joining the port to the town centre. The cottage is small but well equipped with not one, but two beautiful gardens to relax in. Our generous hosts Robyn and Ross, couldn’t have been kinder. Be warned, it is on a very steep hill, but there couldn’t be a better place to get into the Medieval festival vibe.

The property looked great in the photos and didn't disappoint when we arrived. Michelle was a super helpful host. It's a great base to explore the region.The Port is well worth a visit at lunch or in the evening, it's only a 1/2 hour walk at a slowish pace, through the trees on the left of the river when it's hot or on the path to the right if its not. All the restaurants, creperies were dog friendly.A short walk up a steep hill and you are in the centre of beautiful Dinan.The only downside for us was the lack of dog friendly beaches, we found one near Lancieux, but only really good for an off lead romp in the sand not particularly attractive. We spoke to a local who said almost all beaches in France are not dog friendly now as a result of owners not picking up after their dogs.We had a great time.

Beatrice and Pascal are lovely people, they made us feel at home. Facilities are excellent. Property is calm and peaceful. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Close to Dinan. Secure, private parking on the premises.

Beautiful property with plenty of space, well equipped, everything we needed was included. Fantastic location, close to everything in Dinan. Great communication with the owner. Would definately come again.

Wonderful ,small apartment, beautifully decorated with everything you need for a short break.The owners were very welcoming.The apartment is very well situated,close to the town.We always found somewhere to park the car..

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay at Tertre Davy . The house was very well equipped and clean. The hosts have clearly spent alot of money, time and thought on making this a lovely home-from -home. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, towels and bathrobes were also provided. Free wifi and a DVD player made our teenager very happy. There were plenty of chairs and loungers to use outside and the pool was amazing. We had exclusive use of this for the entire length of our stay, we could use it for most of the day apart from when it needed to be cleaned. The location was perfect. Being on a farm was not a problem , a very large supermarket was less than 10 mins drive away and there were many beautiful beaches within 30 mins drive. The lanes around the gite were very quiet which meant my husband felt safe enough to go for a run. It would be the same for anyone wanting to use bicycles. Valarie was extremely helpful when we first met her and brought us homemade crepes twice during our stay. The gite was very private and we were not troubled by other holidaymakers or the hosts. Many, many thanks to Valarie and Loic for a fantastic holiday.

Great location for exploring Dinan and fantastic little restaurant opposite

This was our first experience of booking a house in France through this site, and although we had to use Google translate a few times I was glad we did. The owner was very quick to respond to our emails, and happy to answer any questions. Our SATNAV bought us straight to the house from Cherbourg ferry terminal in two hours, plus a small stop off to get supplies for our first night. The house has everything you could need and is equipped with all mod cons, coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave etc.( you will need to remember to buy some toilet paper though) There are flat screen TV'S in all three bedrooms, and a large tv in the living room but no English channels, so be prepared to be truly immersed in the French holiday experience. Great shower room with loads of hot water, separate toilet off from the kitchen. We stayed for a week and although the pool was too cold to get in, it was lovely to sit out under the covered deck area in the evenings, or stroll around the beautifully kept gardens. Lots of places to go, Cancal is10 minutes down the road and serves up the most amazing sea food on huge platters, and the oyster beds have to be seen. Mont St Micheal and the horse drawn carriages is great, St Malo the walled city was great with some splendid views from around the walls , Dinard and Dinnas all great and have some great markets to look around. In Fresnais just two minutes by car you will find the local supermarket, and a lovely bread and cake shop. There is also a pizza restaurant on the edge of town that makes really good takeaway pizzas. We could have eaten out in Cancal every night it was so nice there, great atmosphere, and locals so friendly in the restaurants. Great house and central location, hosts live on site in an adjacent house by the road and bought us fresh eggs, very friendly and they speak some English. Quiet peaceful location, centrally located and decorated very tastefully. I would recommend this house if you are planning to visit Britany, you will not be disappointed.
