Great location but not ready to be VRBO

Disappointed. Black mold over entire ceiling!! No toilet paper or dish soap. Grill didn't work. Sheets didn't fit on the bed. No access code to enter given ahead of time. Would not stay here again.

AC Issues

It was not a great Father’s Day weekend experience as the AC stopped working and the owner has refused to apply any credit against what we paid. Understand things can happen but when an owner doesn’t want to do the right thing, it needs to be noted. Rent at your own risk.

Excellent and convenient!

The place was perfect and I’ll come back again! I thought there was only 2 beds, but ended up having 4 total, which was nice. The big patio outside was nice and relaxing after a long day of fishing. If you’re needing to charge your batteries at the slip, be sure to bring a 210 to 110 converter. JC was very responsive and I enjoyed chatting with him.

Weekend fishing trip

Great spot right near boat launch and bait shop. Boat slip directly across the street was super convenient. Only con I really can report is the boat slip structure is in need of repair.

Weekend fishing

Went down for a weekend fishing trip and this was just what we needed. Walking distance to the boat ramp and bait store. Quiet area. Will consider this place again if we plan another trip Port O’Connor.

POC Fishing Trip

This property was perfect for our short fishing trip. Great cover to pull the boat (w/T-tops) under. Great location. Clean/well maintained. Can't go wrong here.

Great Barndamium Experience

This place is clean with a great car port that can easily accommodate most bay boats that ply the waters of Port O'Connor. And oh, did I mention the ice cold AC and comfy beds. This is a great place to stay if you're planning a trip.

Perfect location in POC

We came down to fish with friends this last weekend and stayed at the Barndominium. For the price, you couldn’t beat it. You are a block from the fishing center and across the street from the gated marina with a private slip for your use. The garage was big enough to stow our boat trailer with no issues. I would suggest requesting the A/C be turned on a day in advance, as it took a solid 12 hours for it to cool down to Texas A/C standards and we had a hot first night. Otherwise, JC(owner) was very easy to communicate with and even let us stay late Sunday to get another day of fishing in. I would recommend the Barndominium to friends.

Great place to stay for fishing

Awesome place. Felt brand new. Air conditioner keep it nice and cold. Great place to park boat when not on the water. Boat ramp is really close.

Excellent place for serious fisherman.

This place was better than expected. The building was spotless and new. The air conditioner was awesome, which is critical for fisherman. We had a total of 4 guys, each had his own bed, and his own ceiling fan, 3 full beds upstairs in an open loft, one queen bed downstairs in a separate room. Everyone slept well, the beds are really good, and everyone said these beds were a cut above the usual Port O'Connor hotel bed. Small kitchen area, (the entire living quarters is small) and we did not cook anything. The single bathroom/shower area would make even my wife happy, and she has never been happy with any bathroom in Port O'Connor in 20 plus years. The owner has a chest freezer in the barn which was empty, except for a 20 pound bag of ice, we loaded it up with another 200 lbs of ice. Access is easy, the giant covered area for your boat makes for pleasant loading and unloading of the boat. The unique feature of the facility is an aluminum ladder to the loft which looks like it belongs on a 50 ft flybridge fishing boat. The ladder is really cool, my crew liked it, kids would love it, but if you had compromised climbers, this could be a challenge. There is a nice, friendly, talkative neighbor fishes too! I would have no hesitation of staying here again, and probably will in the near future.
