Welcome to Kaleidoscope to the Sea! Get ready to relax & enjoy all that Magnolia Beach has to offer. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath stilt home sits on a large lot that abuts the public beach land with the public pier a few steps away. Enjoy breathtaking views of the bay, bird & boat watching, sunrises from the large covered deck & sunsets from the back deck.

Each bedroom has a queen size bed. We offer a roll away bed that can be set up in the living space that is best suited for a child. The living, dining & kitchen are open concept with a large island. The kitchen has ample pots, pans, dishes and small appliances for your cooking needs along with an electric range & microwave. We provide a Keurig coffee maker that has both a coffee pot and single serve dispenser. This home does not have a dishwasher. A washer & dryer are available for guest use. There is a Smart TV in the living space with IP (LG) Channels and antenna.

You can park your car or small boat in the covered space under the house with care, but not in the garage. The second bathroom is in the garage. It is not climate controlled, but it is great for cleaning up after a day of outdoor fun & conveniently on the ground floor. There's a wall mounted fan.

The deck wraps three sides of the home to enjoy many different views. There's also a lot of shaded outdoor space on the ground level & the house sits on a half acre lot so there's plenty of room to park your boat. The public pier is only a few steps away along with the public beach directly in front of the property. There are additional public beach areas a short walk or drive away along with a public boat ramp, basketball court & picnic cabanas. There are many species of birds in the area that can be seen from the back deck on Old Town Lake / wetland areas.

This area holds rich history. Some of it's history is that of the French explorer René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de la Salle & his ill fated expedition that lead to his ship, La Belle, meeting it's end in the waters of Matagorda Bay in 1684.

The Indianola Fishing Marina is less than 2 miles away & it's the local hangout with a restaurant, bar & grill, bait & tackle shop, & live music often on Friday & Saturday nights. You can fish there for a small fee or just enjoy watching people reel in their catches.

There is one convenience store in town that serves some hot food. They have gas pumps also.

The closest HEB & Walmart are in Port Lavaca, approximately 15 miles away. There are also many restaurants to chose from there.

LEASING REQUIREMENTS:
- A 2-night minimum stay is required.
- Contracting guests must be at least 25 years old, have a valid State Driver’s License or other acceptable ID, and be present throughout the entire stay. A photo of acceptable ID must be provided to the host, not just VRBO, or access to the property will not be given.
-All guests must be registered with the host. It is a violation of the Reservation Agreement and House Rules to have any more than 5 guests on the premises at anytime. We do not allow parties, weddings or any other type of gatherings of unregistered guests. Violating this policy will result in a charge of $75 per additional person per day and this is grounds for an immediate termination of your group's stay without refund.
-NO pets are allowed on the property. A $250 fee will be assessed if a pet is brought on the property and the possibility of immediate termination of your group's stay without refund.

ACCESS: Guest have access to all of the house except for two locked cabinets and one locked closet. The shed is NOT available for guests' use.

Guests have access to the garage to store their fishing and beach gear for convenience. The garage bathroom is not climate controlled but it does have a large fan. No vehicle/boat parking is allowed in the garage, but vehicles and smaller boats can be parked in the carport space with care. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times in the garage. We suggest keeping the exterior doors closed when not using the garage because this is a rural area with natural habitat that may wonder in. We provide some folding beach chairs for our guests. Please return them to the garage after use.

We provide a small charcoal grill and grilling tools. Guests provide their own charcoal. Grilling is only allowed in the designated grilling area which is the open paver area with railing on the stair side of the house. No open flames, smoking or vaping are allowed inside the house, garage, under the covered outdoor areas, or on the decks/balconies. Use the designated grilling area for smoking and dispose of your butts responsibly.

We provide two fire extinguishers and fire blankets. They can be found under the kitchen sink and in the garage near the door.

Magnolia Beach is a rural area with natural habitat. There are occasional sightings of alligators, snakes and various wildlife. Due to the natural vegetation and wetlands around the area, there are mosquitoes during certain times of the year so mosquito repellant is needed. We try to keep some on hand for our guests, but we recommend you bring your own. The beach is compacted, crushed shells so closed toe water shoes are recommended. Some of the beach area may not be cleared of rocks, debris or oyster beds. RV parking and camping is allowed on the public beach front per the county rules posted in the park.

HOUSE RULES
Having any more than 5 guests on the premises at anytime is violating the House Rules. Each guest must be registered with the host. We do not allow parties, weddings or any other type of gatherings of unregistered guests. Violating this policy will result in a charge of $75 per additional person per day & this is grounds for an immediate termination of your group's stay without refund.

-NO pets are allowed on the property. A $250 fee will be assessed if a pet is brought on the property & the possibility of immediate termination of your stay without refund.

-Tampering w/ the locks, doors or hinges on the one locked closet, two locked cabinets, the locked shed &/or locked electrical panels will have a minimum $200 fee & any additional cost for repairs or theft.

-Guests are not permitted to use the RV hookups without prior written consent of the Host & an additional charge paid. Any unauthorized use will result in a $75 fee per night & the possibility of an immediate termination of the stay without refund. Guest are not allowed to use the septic to dump sewage from their RV or boat.

-Grilling is only allowed in the designated grilling area which is the open paver area with railing on the stair side of the house. No open flames, smoking or vaping are allowed inside the house, garage, under the covered outdoor areas, or on the decks/balconies. Use the designated grilling area for smoking and dispose of your butts responsibly in the terra cotta pot provided with sand. If the smell of cigarette, cigar, or marijuana smoke is detected in the garage or house &/or burn marks or ash are found in the non-smoking areas, host will seek a $500 cleaning fee plus any additional cost of replacing or repairing damage to the property.

-Do not clean fish inside the house. Dispose of carcasses or left over bait in the bay to feed the birds/fish. Do NOT put bait or raw fish parts in trash cans or roll away dumpster.


-The property has a septic system. Do not flush anything other than what comes out of one's body and toilet paper. "Flushable" wipes are not allowed to be flushed. Please dispose of your cooking grease in the trash. We provide grease bags to help keep our pipes free of clogs. Please shake off all shell/sand outside from your clothing and towels before putting in the washing machine. Please clean the dryer lint screen before using the dryer.

-Due to this being a rural area, there are occasional utility outages &/or wifi outages. These outages are out of the Host's control, so we do not offer refunds due to this. For other issues, we will make every attempt to rectify the problem to our guests' satisfaction if the guests notify the owner through the VRBO messaging app IMMEDIATELY upon check-in of any problems or concerns and allow host or host's cleaner, or repair person into the property to rectify the problems or IMMEDIATELY when the problem arises during their stay. No refunds or other compensation will be given for problems owner is able to rectify within a reasonable time frame. If Guest only notifies the Host after their stay of problems, there will be no refunds or other compensation given.

-Guests will be responsible for the cost of any repairs or replacement of items due to damage or theft caused by their actions, their guests' actions or animals brought to the property. Pets are not allowed.

-No glitter or confetti. Additional cleaning fee will be assessed.

-Check-In is at 3:00 PM and Check-out is at 11:00 AM. We cannot guarantee an early check-in or late check-out, but we try to accommodate our guests when possible. Often we have a same day turnover for another guests departing before you or arriving after you where it is not feasible for our cleaners. We will not know if early check-in or check-out is possible until the day of your arrival or the night before your departure.

-Criminal behavior on the property will not be tolerated. Any illegal activities or acts of violence, will result in law enforcement being dispatched to the property & will be grounds for immediate eviction from the premises with no refunds.

-Indemnification Clause: Upon renting the property, guests agree to fully defend, indemnify and hold harmless the owners, hosts, co-hosts, managers, and business entity acting on behalf of the owners from all liabilities, losses, damages, and costs, including legal fees, resulting from any actions, incidents, or accidents occurring in or caused by the guests and/or their invitees while using the vacation rental property along with the use of the amenities, equipment and grounds.

Great place to stay, from check in to check out was flawless. All living accommodations were met perfectly and we enjoyed our fishing trip. We will book here and only here from now on. Thank you Sara and Lisa for making this an easy stay for us.
