We were curious about southern Italy. Researched Lecce. Beautiful baroque historic center. Way too much grafitti near university. They really need to do something about that. Nice museums and theaters. Great food.

Shame about the weather

I partly chose this place for its terrace, but the constant rain meant I never used it! Never mind, it was a comfortable place to stay, well located, good quality bedding.I didn't mind the stairs (66 up to the apartment), but be aware that there is no lift.

Spacious apartment, nice location, great host

We spent a week at Giovanni’s apartment, just outside the wall in Lecce, and loved every minute. Giovanni greeted us when we arrived, and gave us great tips for parking, sightseeing and restaurants. We tried two restaurants (molto bene!), and the experiences added to our trip. The apartment is well-equipped with a nice kitchen (including coffee) and a fabulous terrace where we began and ended each day. It is close to everything, yet quiet since it is away from the busiest streets. One note: the apartment is on the 2nd level (American 3rd floor), so be prepared to walk up 60+ steps. Highly recommended.

One week stay .

We had a great week staying in Giovanni's lovely apartment. The apartment was even more spacious than we expected from the photos. The location is fantastic, just a couple of minutes walk from the Old Town. Giovanni was a great host giving us lots of helpful recommendations. The terrace is lovely for relaxing and eating outside.

Viva Lecce

Das Appartement ist sehr grosszügig. Wir genossen die gedeckte Veranda, die Schwalben, den schönem Blick auf die Altstadt. Die gut eingerichtete Wohnung ist sehr ruhig, zuoberst in einem alten Palazzo gegen den Innenhof gelegen. Alle Highlights der Innenstadt sind problemlos zu Fuss erreichbar. Giovanni ist ein immer erreichbarer, hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Kritik: Wir würden die Abfälle gerne trennen so wie es in Europa üblich ist. Es wäre nicht schwierig , dies zu organisieren. Wir waren schon mehrfach in Lecce und haben die Abfääe immer getrennt gesammelt nach Plastik/Blech, Grünabfälle, Papier und Restabfall. Das Appartement ist allen zu empfehlen die Treppen steigen können - es hält fit. Anne

Great apartment in convenient location

The apartment was clean and as pictured. Giancarlo had supplied the kitchen with basics, most importantly with coffee and milk. He met us on arrival and showed us around, explained places to park, good restaurants, etc.

Spacious, comfortable and conveniently-located apartment

We stayed here for five days--it was a perfect base from which to explore Lecce and Puglia. Giovanni was an excellent host--he met us personally at the apartment to orient us and checked in with us midway through our stay to make sure we were ok. His restaurant recommendations were good and when he learned we were traveling on to Rome, he even emailed a few suggestions for meals there. The apartment is quite roomy--we were only two people, but because the living area--which had a pullout couch--had a door, it seems as if the space would work well for friends traveling together or a family, since there was privacy for the second bedroom as well as two full bathrooms. We were even able to enjoy eating breakfast in the covered porch area in early November. We'd definitely stay here again if we were traveling in this area!

Les salles de bain sont neuves, donc c'est la première fois qu'un client se plaint de la douche mais merci pour le conseil Isabelle, je vais résoudre le problème immédiatement.

Really comfortable stay in Lecce

Lecce is the one of my favorite city in Italy. There are many wonderful restaurants in Lecce, but there is very few comfortable room to stay especially in winter, because most of B&B and hotel is too cold. This Giovanni's appartement is the one of best appartment of Lecce in my experience. This appartment is enough large, it has separate heating, hot water. There are convenient kitchen, big refrigerator and terrace, besides two bathrooms. Supermarket is just Three minutes walks. The owner, Giovanni, is very kind person. He came to the Brindisi airport to pick us up and help us to bring our luggages to the room. And he let me know very tasty restaurants. I would like to come back to this appartment soon.

Great 5 nights in lecce

We had a fantastic time in this apartment. We had a late flight so Giovanni picked us up from the airport and took us to the flat which was much appreciated. He gave us some great advice for day trips, beaches to go to and places to eat. The apartment was very clean, spacious and modern. It provided a great base to explore lecce, close to the old town, bus stop and train station. I would definitely stay here again!

Un havre de paix séduisant au pied de la vieille ville. Un appartement joliment décoré, une terrasse de charme, la ville historique avec ses restaurants le soir à 5 minutes à pieds. Un calme absolu avec en prime une vue hyper sympa. A réserver sans hésitation et sans modération. Merci à Giovanni pour sa gentillesse et ses précieux conseils.

Great location, clean, spacious

Very well equipped for our 3 day stay from the States. Parked free 2 blocks away and walked almost everywhere. Giovanni met us outside and made sure we were set. Great beach 2km north of Castro is a must day trip Great city, good vibe, friendly people, amazing architecture and sights. One of favs in Italy. No where near as touristy... nice! Thank you

Spacious modern apartment very convenient to the historic centre of Lecce

We stayed four nights in this apartment in early May and found it to be a perfect location for our self-guided walking tours of the historic centre of Lecce. Giovanni was very helpful from the outset, responding promptly to any email queries. On arrival by car in Lecce, he met us on the outskirts of the city and escorted us to the apartment and made us feel very welcome in his apartment. The apartment is very spacious and well appointed with a lovely modern twist to the decoration.There are plenty of comfortable sitting areas either indoors or outdoors on the spacious balcony. The description of the apartment on the VRBO site is very accurate and the photos give an accurate overview of the layout of rooms. We would encourge others to book the apartment and to come to Lecce to enjoy the historic centre and also to enjoy the surrounding coastline and countryside. Lecce is an excellent hub for such touring.

Great apartment in a great location.

We were very comfortable in this lovely apartment which is a couple of minutes walk from the beautiful old centre of Lecce. Giovanni met us on our arrival and made us feel very welcomed. The apartment was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Despite being here in March we still had a couple of bright and sunny days and having the terrace to sit out was a bonus. Lecce is beautiful, lots of places to visit and plenty of fine cafes and restaurants to sample the food and drink of the area. We would recommend a stay at this apartment when you visit to Lecce.

Un superbe appartement

L'accueil a été très chaleureux malgré notre heure d'arrivée tardive. L'appartement est très confortable et conforme aux photos. L'environnement est très calme et proche du cœur de Lecce. La terrasse est au top (très agréable pour se détendre et prendre les repas). De petites attentions bien sympa ont été laissées à disposition. Cet appartement permet de garder la forme du fait qu'il est situé au 2ème étage sans ascenseur :-). Nous gardons un très bon souvenir de notre séjour. Un grand merci à Giovanni !

Casa silenziosa, comoda e funzionale

Casa vicinissima al centro della splendida Lecce, ben arredata, silenziosa, comoda e funzionale. Aria condizionata nelle stanze, bel terrazzo con tavolo, sedie, divano e poltrone. Letto comodo. Due bagni ben posizionati: uno accanto alla camera da letto al piano di sopra, l'altro al piano di sotto vicino alla sala da pranzo-cucina e al salotto. Due televisori: uno in camera da letto e uno in salotto. Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo e ci ha subito fornito il pass per il parcheggio situato nella via adiacente. Siamo stati molto bene e speriamo di poter ritornare.
