Cool breezes and no mosquitoes, just feet from the high tide line.
This cabin in located on Passamaquoddy bay. Awake to sunrises over St. Andrew's, New Brunswick. Seals can be seen in the morning and evening throughout the summer and fall. Centrally located between Calais and Eastport, you can easily enjoy all of the dining, shopping and events that both cities have to offer. This is great base for exploring New Brunswick too with border crossings in Calais and Lubec. The bold coast offers scenic hiking or driving. The east/west greenway offers great biking and wildlife viewing. Kayak rentals are nearby and can be launched from the beach.
The interior is beautiful and cozy with knotty pine walls, oak floors and maple cabinetry. The kitchen is stocked with everything from basic dishes and cookware to lobster pots and corkscrews. The beds are new this spring. There is a queen in the master bedroom with a hanging twin over a full in the second bedroom. The bathroom is equipped with only a shower to save space.
Enjoy unplugged family time. There is DSL wireless internet but no television to distract from the conversations. There are board games, books and a great view.
The property is almost all shore front. Kayaks can be easily launched. There is a public boat launch less than a mile from the cabin where a floating dock and ramp makes launching motorboats a breeze. There is lawn large enough to host yard games or for tenting out on a beautiful summer night.

Its a cabin setting. Definitely piece and quiet and no hustle and bustle. Awesome high and low tides. Lots of animal watching (seals, deer, bald eagles, ect...). Oh and the sunrises are the best I've seen and walking out on the beach at low tide collecting sea glass. It a relaxing and peaceful place.
This little cabin was a great home base from which to explore the surrounding coastal area. Lubec & Campobello Island & St Andrews BC were easy 45 minute drives. The Canada border just 12 miles away. Eastport with its festivals & whales watches, great restaurants & shops was a mere 20 minutes. There are miles of hiking trails within a 30 minute radius. And if you need anything, a sizeable grocery store and Walmart were both 12 miles up the road. The cabin is not luxurious BUT simple and cute and clean. It was small but fine for four adults who want a comfortable home base alot roomier and more functional for living than a motel room. We cooked and barbecued a few of our meals right there. The host responded to my questions in a timely way. But the prize for us was waking up in the morning right on the Bay. Our goal was not to have to drive & park on a beach to be on the water. We saw numerous seals and herons daily! The beach was rocky, not sandy which was fine for us as we spent most of our time at the cabin reading, writing, and hunting for sea glass and enjoying the view. Being on the road did not bother us a bit. And as mentioned above, you can get everywhere from there. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.
Lovely bay views with beautiful sunrises. Everything we would need for our stay in the cabin. Close proximity to Eastport and Calais if we needed anything. Watched lobster boats collecting lobsters from their traps. Was visited several times by bald eagles on our beach. Would recommend to anyone a stay at this property. Chuck
This is a delightful little cottage. Cozy, warm and comfy. We needed a place to stay temporarily while we tried to buy a home in the area. Even though the home sale didn’t pan out, our hosts could not have been more accommodating. Thanks so much!
The house is charming with a nice wood burning stove, awesome views of the bay, a large kitchen area and nice bedrooms. The location is an easy ~ 20 minute drive to both Eastport and Calais and around 40 minutes to Lubec. The hosts were very helpful and easy to reach with any questions that came up.
We had a truly wonderful time here. The cottage is cute and cozy, the sunrises are breathtaking, and the view and air are so soothing and relaxing. The beach is very rocky, so make sure you bring crocs or a strong, firm water shoe!
we really enjoyed the rocky beachfront at this home. it was a great cottage with all the necessities. The only drawback was it was too close to the road and we could hear traffic all night. The owner/Mgr was very thoughtful and the close proximity to Calais was a plus.

Relaxing spot by the ocean
Had a nice stay at this cozy clean cabin so close to the beach. Beautiful views, enjoyed walking along the beach and found lots of beach glass. Drove into Eastport,20 minutes away,to buy fresh haddock and scallops at the fish market and cook them up in well supplied kitchen and enjoyed eating outside on the picnic table right by the beach.
Look forward to returning again soon 😊

The view is spectacular. Loved all the woodwork inside.
The owner of the property stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed, nice touch. We got to see some harbor seals and loons which was a added bonus. We will definitely be back again.

Why they chose this property
This property has been in our family for four generations. This cabin was built in the early 1960's and had been a treasured family gathering place that we have decided to share with others. We renovated it beginning in 2008 and lived in it as our primary home for five years before moving to a larger house to make space for our new daughter.
What makes this property unique
The view is breathtaking looking over two miles of tidewater into another country. It is very peaceful and calming to relax in the living room and listen to the waves wash over the cobblestone, the gulls chirping and the seals barking. Easily access the beach from the front yard to beachcomb, skip stones, or find shells and sea glass. A sandbar is exposed on the lower half of the tide which is very popular with children.
