Unique, rustic mountain cabin on the rapid, fish-stocked Toccoa River with a game room area in the basement level. Gorgeous mountain views and a serene porch overlooking the river. Path to a great fishing spot just below porches and visible from the porches. Views of the river from every room and wonderful gurgling sounds of the river audible from all bedrooms.

The tin roof provides an awesome experience in rainy or snowy weather. Great close by hiking trails along the Appalachian Trail and numerous waterfalls in the area. A great place to just relax and rock on the porches after a day of touring the antique shops in the neighboring towns and Blue Ridge or a train ride through the mountains to and from Tennessee. Amazing little cabin on the river

  • 5 of 5

We have really fallen in love with the nice, quiet cabin on the river. It has all the amenities for a home away from home. The back porch is the best place to spend the days just rocking in the chairs as you listen to the water below rolling, people playing, and watching wildlife at its best. Town of Blue Ridge is about 30 mins from the cabin and a fairly simple drive where you will find shopping and dining. I would follow the advice of the Owners and do not try find the cabin after dark as it is secluded in the woods. We can not wait to return. Thank you to Mr. And Mrs. Priest for providing an awesome getaway!

Relaxing and peaceful!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I spent 3 relaxing and peaceful days here. The river below is therapeutic and will put you to sleep if you let it! Enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and other birds in the treetops. There are other cabins very close by but our neighbors did not spoil our tranquility. My husband was very fond of the way the interior was decorated. The owner, Karen, was very attentive. We did have some initial trouble with the Wi-Fi psswd and finally figured out that the psswd written down on the modem was the only one that was correctly written... Which I forgot to mention to her. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much!

Additional activities include birdwatching from the two front porches and viewing of the abundant wildlife. Also enjoy tubing on the river or visiting one of the many nearby waterfalls. There are many trailheads for the infamous Appalachian Trail nearby (the closest is a 2 mile hike from the cabin), among other trails and rural mountain roads to traverse.

Historic downtown Blue Ridge makes for a fun activity filled with shops and restaurants (and even it's own brewery!). Or relax in front of the fire-burining stove or on the idyllic front porch with a good book and enjoy our piece of heaven!
