What makes this Villa unique
Villecroze is an attractive village in the beautiful and lush region of the Var.There is an old Medieval part to the village, with a number of fountains, cobbled alleys and archways. At the center of the village is a large square which has a couple of restaurants, and this is also where you'll find the 18th century church. The town's weekly market is held in the square on Thursday mornings. You'll be able to buy locally made produce such as honey, wines and goats cheese. There are artisan shops and galleries in the village. Close to the town is the 12th century Commanderie des Templiers (house of the Templar Knights) which also has wonderful gardens. A 12th century chapel, St Victor, on the outskirts of the town hosts music concerts every other Friday during the summer. Villecroze is surrounded by limestone cliffs. Many caves exists in these cliffs and in the 16th century, a local lord created a place of refuge within them during the Wars of Religion. Known as Grottes Troglodytes, you can vist the caves during the summer months (April to September) for a very small fee. The cliff features a lovely waterfall, and the whole area is set off with botanical gardens. There is a cycle route (57 km) that runs through Villecroze, and takes you to several of the prettiest villages in the area - Tourtour, Ampus, Flayosc and Taradeau. Hiking trails run through the surrounding hills.

Lovely house and well equipped, and a very nice area
6 adults stayed and all enjoyed it. Far enough away from the village to be quite but close enough to walk in and enjoy the bars and restaurants.
Plenty of areas to go and visit
Excellent play to stay
A very nice and comfortable vacation home. Spacious, quiet, well furnished, charming. More than large enough to accommodate nine persons with a.o. four bathrooms. Located close to Villecroze, a non-touristic authentic village. Nearby very interesting middle aged caves to visit located in a cute little park. Further away you can enjoy the impressive nature of Europe’s largest canyon, the Gorges-du-Verdon. Or you go to the mundane coast around Nice with places like Monte Carlo/Monaco, Cannes and Saint Tropez. Like to stay at home: you can enjoy the swimming pool, the sun terrace or explore the many plant species in the garden and enjoy the fruits of the season. Spend your vacation here and be surprised!
Great family vacation
We just had a great week in this lovely french house. The house is even better in reality than on the pictures. The pool area is fantastic. The house is big enough to host six grown ups, two children and a dog in a good way. The village of Villecroze is charming and beautiful. We can definately recommend this house!
