Tofte Cove on the North Shore of Lake Superior!

Welcome to Tofte Cove! With its large lot and beautifully updated home and amazing views, our property is ideal for groups of all ages. It’s conveniently located near some of the North Shore’s most popular hiking, skiing, biking and dining spots. Enjoy amazing views from two expansive decks, private lake access to relax by the water, or a cozy bonfire overlooking the lake.

Inside, you’ll find an inviting, upscale home recently remodeled with new appliances and all the amenities. The main level has two bedrooms (1 king; 1 double/1 twin), full bath with rain shower and separate soaking tub, gourmet kitchen with large dining area, and spacious living room with vaulted ceiling and gas fireplace. The lower level includes a 3/4 bath and family room featuring a smart TV for movie nights and sofa sleeper for extra guests. Large windows and decks on both levels showcase nature in all seasons. Outside there’s a gas grill, adirondack chairs, fire pit and ample parking.
From Tofte Cove, it’s 2 minutes to Tofte, 15 minutes to Lutsen Mountain and 45 minutes to Grand Marais by car. Or, walk or bike the paved Gitchee-Gummi trail for miles—there’s an access point at the end of our driveway. Cross-country ski lovers can join the Sugarbush Trail System just across Highway 61. Nearby attractions include Superior National Golf Course, Lutsen Ski Resort and Temperance River State Park.

Beautiful home on a gorgeous piece of property. Beautiful lake views, cozy fire pit area. Make sure to walk down to look to the cove. Home had every amenity we needed and then some. Highly recommend, we would definitely stay again.

The location of Tofte Cove was great! Close to everything. It was awesome to sit on the deck and look at Lake Superior. Besides a few minor things (could use new frying pans/a new can opener/no bikes) our stay was terrific. Stacey responded quickly to our questions. This is our second stay at Tofte Cove and would stay again!

We’ve been coming to the north shore for years and this was hands down our favorite property we’ve stayed at. It was immaculate. The views wowed us. And the owners furnished it just right. Would highly recommend staying here if you have a young family.

This was a gorgeous and relaxing place with amazing views. The interior is very nice and all furniture was good quality and comfortable! You can tell the owners put a lot of care into the property inside and out. They have things organized and clearly labeled throughout to make it easily to move in and find what you need. We had a fabulous stay and look forward to returning again soon!

What a great home and a great location! We stayed over Easter so the well stocked kitchen and grill was so appreciated. The cove on the property was a highlight as it was a wintry weekend so we would walk down to it and watch the waves roll in. Thanks for sharing this home with our family!

We loved this cozy, private spot. It was perfect for our family with plenty of room for spending time together by the fireplace. It was such a treat to wake up to gorgeous Lake Superior sunrises. The kitchen was amazingly well-stocked and we had everything we needed. We were very impressed with the attention to detail. Excellent communication with the host. We look forward to visiting in the summer months when we can explore the cove.

Very relaxing and beautiful cabin. Close to Lutsen and a lot of wonderful cross country skiing trails if you go in the winter. There are a few restaurants near by that were very good but the kitchen there was very nice as well and had everything you would need to make a nice meal. The only set back was that they had a huge blizzard the day we traveled up and we couldn’t get into the driveway so had to stay at another place for the night. But the host stayed in contact the whole time giving us updates on the weather and were very helpful. We still had 4 lovely nights and enjoyed the snowy setting and local outdoor activity. We commented to each other several times that one day when we retire this is exactly the kind of place we would like to live. It is truly beautiful.
