The location is superb. It’s in the NW corner of intramuros just steps from a beach entrance through the wall and steps up to the top of the old town wall. Two bedrooms and the living room have double French doors that open onto a narrow balcony with sea views. This is in a quiet area and a building separate from others, a not crowded area like some of the intramuros. Since the intramuros is not large, all other areas with shops, market and restaurants are in easily walkable distance.
The apartment is comfortable with nice kitchen, living/dining room and bathroom. The elevator allows easy access to the higher floor which affords a good view with quietness. Since St. Malo tends to be a damp place, the bedding etc might tend to be a bit musty if the apartment is not used, but when we opened the French doors there was a nice breeze which refreshed the spaces. Communications with our representative Charlene were very good with prompt WhatsApp replies (in good English!) to any questions or needs. She booked a taxi for us to the train station when we left, a great help since there seemed to be no Uber service and some taxi companies didn’t speak English.
