Cotton Lake is one of Minnesota's great fishing, recreational lakes, and very popular in the Detroit Lakes area, it has almost 2,000 acres and the north side borders The Tamarac National Refuge. It's a perfect blend of tranquility and recreation close to all the amenities of Detroit Lakes. Also, enjoy a day of tubing down the Ottertail River just 1/2 mi. away or exploring an island, in an island, in an island on the lake. There is boat rental and a pub/restaurant on the lake.
