Great location, view and amenities!
This property felt nicely remote but was within a 10m drive of any amenities you might want - restaurants, grocery, shops, Lake Coeur d'Alene. The owner was responsive to questions, very accommodating and the check-in was easy.

Excellent Weekend
This is an amazing property. A few friends and I recently met up in CDA for a golf and lake weekend. We had a great time. This property has a beautiful view of the lake. It is secluded but still close to town. We had eight total people staying and we all felt like we had plenty of room. Brian was a perfect host. Very accommodating. Overall, I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Coeur d’Alene. We hope to be back in the future.

Great stay!
Property owner was very informative and was always there to make sure everything was going good. House was nicely set up and the deck that overlooked lake was great for family dinners and relaxing!

Girls Weekend
Our group of 6 friends stayed here in mid August. Brian was very helpful with a great lunch suggestion in Spokane , as most of us flew into the airport there. Our stay was overall great, Here is what you can expect. The kitchen was very well stocked ,great place to gather and cook for friends and family. And the knives where sharp. Which is the exception and not the norm in vacation rentals. There was a Keurig and a reg coffee maker as well. Both the downstairs and upstairs living area had excellent couches and chairs, new and comfortable. The outside deck, table and chairs where great. There is a major road below, expect road noise. The beds and bedding were also excellent. There is a handrail in the stairwell, the pictures show no handrail on the website. There is no front door. You enter through the garage. The house appears to going through a remodel. With some things not quite finished . The a/c is a potable unit upstairs. There are big sliding glass doors /windows upstairs, but no screen , which would be really nice on a warm summer evening. Bring bug spray. A mirror in each upstairs bedroom would be great, and a towel rack in the upstairs bathroom as well. Last comment Brian was very responsive host, which was appreciated.

Glad we stayed in this lovely home
Upon arriving my grandchildren went from room to room thrilled with everything. We were concerned about the heat during our stay but upon arrival it was quite pleasant. The owner had given us suggestions on how to keep it as cool as possible. That helped. Lots of dishes, towels, TVs for every ones needs, beds were great and loved the deck and table that fit our group of 11 perfectly. Lots of room to spread out. Not on the lake but could see the lake and loved the trees. I would definately recommend this property.

About the host

I live a blessed life! I get to live with an oceanview in San Diego for about half of the year. I grew up in the agricultural heart of California, so I love farming & nature. I farm guava, and my day job is as a lawyer, helping people out of legal jams. As a kid, our rare family vacations were to Lake Tahoe, & I have been all over the US & throughout the world to various Lake destinations, on many continents, even to historic Lake Como, Italy, & the great Swan River in Australia. But, I fell in love with Lake Coeur d'Alene forever, my very first time there! I go for weeks at a time, all times of year, and have been since my first trip in 1998. Although, I have been going to Idaho, formerly to McCall & Lake Payette, (too small and too remote) annually since about 1989, and have been traveling in the Great Northwest since my first road trip at age 14 to Oregon.
No other Lake anywhere can compare with CdA's weather, lack of bugs and snakes, warm summer waters (79 degrees), in the midst of the lower alpines, and with a touch of enough sophistication to be able to get a great meal with great wines, all at a much more reasonably price!
Easy to get to! My CdA home is about 35 mi. from Spokane Intl Airport (GEG) & connected by Southwest & Alaska Air to anywhere, even San Diego with a short hop!
Even in winter I can get there easily on the I90 & to one of several great ski & boarding mountains with as much as 300" of Utah quality powder in as little as 33 mins & with teenagers!
I feel like I am John Muir in the woods & among the wildlife in "My Own Private Idaho" & yet I can get onto the lake or to the supermarket, post office, gas station, FedEx/Kinkos, great restaurants, & yes, even Starbucks, & my favorite "Cheers" local bar, all within five minutes or so! Even Costco is less than 10 mins away! In a sense, CdA is very much like Costco, great stuff at great prices, & because CdA & Costco have nearly everything, if they do not have yet, you probably don't need it!

Why they chose this property

THE THREE L's of Real Estate: 1) Location in the woods among nature; 2) Location with a huge Lakeview; and 3) Location very close to town and Spokane Airport!
Then, AMENITIES: A modern kitchen, modern open floorplan, everything one needs on the ground floor, but with bathrooms on both levels, 3 br's with huge lakeviews right from a kingsize bed, and very easy
to live in and spend time right there on the property!
Tons of Big Glass with12' wide, opening Anderson door systems: The outdoors seems indoors and being in the outdoors is the essence of Idaho.
Clean Modern Hard Surfaces: Granite, porcelain, wood laminate and lots of fresh paint!
High quality Municipal Water drinkable out of the tap, not rusty well water!
Great 3-4 bar 4GLTE wireless coverage, from Verizon at least.

A John Muir Experience:
With due respect to everyone's right to their own private belief system, watching the moon rise over the lake any time of year and especially in winter after a recent snowfall, will make the non-religious question themselves!

What makes this property unique

I personally care for my property and am, most often, in town. During the times I cannot be there I have a reliable caretaker that is just minutes away!
I can offer boat rides in summer, just ask about it, and all of the free guidance about CdA you may want! I cannot stop talking about the place and would love to hear what you like and, more importantly, anything that you do not like!!!
