Dans une maison de ville du 19e siècle, appartement rénové dans un style moderne : au RDC séjour-salon (TV, accès Wifi gratuit), cuisine aménagée et totalement équipée (MO, LV, combi-congél, LL), vaisselle complète pour 4 personnes, salle d'eau avec WC. Accès aux 2 chambres (très calmes côté jardin ) à l'étage par un escalier : 1 chambre avec un lit double de 140 cm et l'autre chambre avec 2 lits superposés de 90 cm. Idéal pour 2 ou 3 adultes ou 2 adultes avec enfants.
Déconseillé aux personnes à mobilité réduite.
Draps, linge de toilette et de maison fournis. Lits faits à l'arrivée.
A votre disposition : cafetière classique et Senseo, grille-pain, bouilloire électrique, mixeur, sèche-cheveux. Petit jardin privé fleuri pour vos repas et détente.
Idéalement situé à proximité des commerces, des restaurants et du centre historique de Bayeux (500m) : Cathédrale, Tapisserie, musées. Accès, visite de la ville et promenades à pied faciles. A 8km de Port en Bessin, 10km d'Arromanches et des plages du Débarquement…
Pas de parking privé du fait d'être à proximité du centre historique, mais possibilité de stationner sur des places publiques dans la rue ou sur le Boulevard Clémenceau à 50m gratuitement. Pas de supplément d’électricité ni de chauffage.

In a 19th century townhouse, apartment renovated in a modern style: on the ground floor living room (TV, free Wifi access), fitted and fully equipped kitchen (MO, LV, freezer, LL), complete crockery for 4 people, bathroom with WC. Access to the 2 very quiet bedrooms (on the garden ) side upstairs by a staircase: 1 bedroom with a double bed of 140 cm and the other bedroom with 2 bunk beds of 90 cm. Ideal for 2 or 3 adults or 2 adults with children.
Not recommended for people with reduced mobility.
Sheets, towels and household linen provided. Beds made on arrival.

Nathalie was a wonderful host. The place is amazing, well stocked, furnished, and decorated. Very spacious and clean. Great bathroom and shower! Just a two block walk to the center of town with restaurants and shops and only four blocks to the Cathedral and the tapestry museum. We would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic property to serve as a base for exploring. Bayeux, as a village, is super welcoming and charming. The accommodations checked all of the boxes; comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, washing machine and a private garden. Nathalie is very easy to communicate with and very responsive to any questions. We hope to return and stay again.

Communication: 5/5 Excellent communication.Lots of written material to help you navigate the area for things to do.Location: 5/5 (although the street in front is busy, the bedrooms are up and at the back so the street noise was not an issue for sleeping). Several shops and restaurants steps away. Cleanliness: 5/5 - spotless and well appointedAccommodation: 5/5 beds were comfortable. We were aware of the stairs and steps in pictures, however be mindful if you have mobility issues as they are narrow and steep. The little spot out back looked cute and cozy however we did not use it as we were rarely there other than to sleep. Natalie was an awesome host and we highly recommend her flat.

Our take away from this stay was "If you go to France, don't go to Paris, go to Bayeux". If you follow this advice, this is the perfect base. A less than 5 minute walk to the main street with cafes, restaurants, bakeries and the pickup point for all your excursions. Comfortable and like brand new furnishings & appliances. While the weather limited our use of the courtyard it was the perfect respite on the days we were able to enjoy it. I can't imagine doing better than this in Bayeux!

Great place to stay in the center of the town.

Nice clean townhouse. We were staying there during the hot period but it was so nice and cool in the house. They have a very a cute backyard with shade where it’s pleasant to sit down, have a drink and relax. The location is great, right in the center of the town but very quiet.

Great Location and Private Garden

We enjoyed our six-night stay very much. The ground floor of the apartment is spacious and well equipped. Having a washing machine and laundry rack was convenient, and we made several meals in the handy kitchen.Nathalie accommodated our late evening arrival very graciously and also clued us into a free museum night that we would have missed on our own.The walled garden is delightful! We will be back.

Perfect location

Natalie furnished the apartment with everything you would need to stay comfortably. It was decorated very cute. The location was great, just one block from downtown. It was a very quiet side street. We had to park a block away, but that was not a problem. The only negative was the bathroom was downstairs and at night the staircase was very narrow to navigate down to use.

A superb stay. Great choice, highly recommended.

We booked our stay from Ireland and Nathalie was courteous and speedy in answering any queries. The apartment was equipped with everything needed for our stay and has a lovely small courtyard which is ideal for enjoying a bottle of wine after a day touring. The location is superb, close to the Main Street of Bayeux with excellent bakeries, cafes and restaurants. A great choice and a superb base for exploring Bayeux and the surrounding area of Normandy.

Perfect location property

What a perfect location for visiting charming Bayeaux! This beautifully appointed property had lovely details throughout. Our host left us a few delightful treats to help us settle in. Our only suggestion is that the listing clarify that bedrooms are on second floor and bathroom on first floor (or floor one, and zero European standards.) with certain mobility problems might find that difficult . But I repeat that the location made it so easy for us to walk to fabulous restaurants and all of the sights.

Well located, comfortable stay

Flat worked well for us and appreciated the flexiblity on checkout time as that made for a much more pleasent stay. The other reviews and description are accurate but here's some more detail; not knocks really, just more detail. The steps up to the bedrooms have a narrow tread and are spiraled. They're very solid but might not be for some people who are a little unsteady on their feet. There's 'rush hour' noise from the road that's quite loud in the living room. I didn't notice it in the primary but my wife did. Closing the shutters helps and it's short lived.

A home away from home

We are delighted to have chosen this wonderful apartment for our visit to Normandy. We had expected an apartment, and instead got a home away from home! Every detail was perfect, from the spacious living/dining area to the kitchen with all the conveniences of home. The apartment was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The upstairs bedrooms made sleeping very calm and quiet. The location was close to everything, yet on a quiet street that made it seem like we were away from it all. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you to Nathalie for great communication throughout the process.

Comfortable Apartment and Great Location

This was a great apartment, very comfortable for the two of us, with well equipped kitchen and good appliances, also a very comfortable bed. Best of all is the private courtyard for a glass of wine at the end if the day. Nathalie, our host, lives next-door. She met us when we arrived and answered our questions. She was easily available if needed but gave us total privacy. This is a great location too, near all the sights and cafes. We would definitely stay here again.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Ouverture du gîte en juillet 2015 pour recevoir les vacanciers dans cette belle région riche en Histoire...Ils peuvent à la fois visiter les monuments historiques, se détendre à la plage avec les enfants, faire du shopping, faire du sport et des balades en forêts, découvrir les différents paysages de la Manche (Val de Saire, Utah Beach...) et du Calvados (Ouistreham, Cabourg, Deauville...). Trajet en voiture de 1H30 pour aller visiter La Cité de la Mer à Cherbourg et le Mont Saint Michel.
