It was a pleasure for us to spend some time getting to know you, and your wonderful children. So cute, and I think I’ll treasure the book reading the most! Lol! I hope the rest of your summer is fun and that the upcoming school year gets off to a great start! We would love to see you again!

Miranda, We are pleased you enjoyed the cabin, water activities as well as nearby climbing and hiking trails. However, I am truly sorry that you were mislead by the pictures. Your statement expresses you "were slightly surprised at first that there are several cabins quite close all sharing the same yard and beach -- this is not the impression you get from the pictures -- this turned out to be not a problem because everyone was really friendly and respectful, but it is something to note if you are looking to get away with just your family." I wish to clarify that the pictures do show a cabin, and the ample space surrounding it!! In the expansive view of your cabin's photo, the fire pit (which is not shared) is not even in view, as it is spaced so far from the cabin! In fact, the cabins are NOT close together! My written description further clarifies that the "cabin is situated on a large grassy knoll with three other cabins that overlook scenic and serene Lincoln Pond. The cabins are spread out on the knoll which allows for individual privacy." I further state the cabin is "one of two cabins available" and a third (the one we currently stay in) would be available next year. The fourth cabin is not yet renovated, and is in the furthest corner of the property barely seen and hidden by woods. I am at a loss for your surprise at sharing the yard and beach with others, given my detailed description on the VRBO site. "A very short 1 minute walk down a slight hill brings you to the waters edge".... where you may enjoy all the free amenities; is not meant to lead a reader to believe they will have their own private beach. My husband and I commented how amazed and happy we were to see you and your family swimming in the lake morning, noon and night, knowing you were all having such a wonderful time, even in the rain!! I wish to assure that motor boats are few and far between on this extremely quiet lake, and they never zoom into our cove where you were able to enjoy a safe swim. However, a few small boats will quietly meander into the cove now and then due to the excellent fishing!! Again, I'm sorry if you felt the pictures were misleading. It is truly my hope that the description given on the site, offers a visual to enhance the photos. That being said, we are thankful you were happy here, and wish to return!
