En el casco antiguo peatonal, tranquilo, casa en 4 niveles: planta baja, lavadora y nevera-congelador, en la primera, para dos personas, en la segunda, hermosa habitación doble, baño, WC separado, en la tercera, baño comedor-sala de estar, WiFi, TV / DVD, cocina equipada, balcón con impresionantes vistas de montañas y mar, puertos y frontera italiana.

Posibilidad de aparcamiento gratuito a 5 minutos, playas y centro de la ciudad a 5 minutos: tiendas y museos a 5 minutos también a pie. Hermosas caminatas en el interior de Menton y en autobús (1 euro 50) para descubrir la Riviera desde Menton a Cannes a través de Montecarlo a la 1 / 4h y Niza 1h.

Beautiful Authentic Town House

We loved our stay in the Town House. It was full of character and a great location as long as you’re mobile and fit with stunning views. We would definitely recommend to people who like the quirkier side of private rentals.

A home from home

The house is in the old town and has all the charm of a beautiful old French home. The house is filled with beautiful furniture and antiques. The owner has thought of everything and provides all you could need for a self catering stay. The balcony has wonderful views across the bay and we spent most evenings sitting here watching the world go by. The house is across four floors so there are a lot of stairs and this would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. But if you wish a quiet holiday in Menton with a charming house and lovely views, then I highly recommend it.

Historic Menton

To visit this house is a truly authentic experience. Located in the historic old town. We loved it quirkiness, filled with vintage furniture and mementos, it is a true traditional family home. Due to its age it is quite dark but cool as the climate is beautiful. The house is on 4 floors and the main area is in the top floor to enable you to enjoy the marvellous view over the bay. Menton is not a large town and everything is in walking distance and a beautiful place to visit. Please be aware it would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues as from the beach area, there are 150 steps up to the house and then up 4 floors to top. If you are fed up of bland hotels then this is certainly different and we loved our stay. Thank you to Dominique, our host who met us as we did get a bit lost and entrusted his lovely home to us. Schön mit kleinen Abstrichen

Ein sehr sauberes dreistöckiges Haus in der Altstadt. Allerdings sehr mit Nippes überladen. Die Lage ist super, wenn man sich etwas orientiert hat. Man kommt dann schnell in die Einkaufsstraßen und ans Meer. In der Altstadt selbst ist nichts los. Man muss schon einige Treppen steigen, wer das nicht möchte, ist hier falsch. Für Radler schwierig. Die Vermieter sind supernett und unkompliziert. Die Dusche ist leider sehr klein. Dusche und Klo sind aber getrennt. Die Küche ist mittel. Gasofen. Tolle kleine Terrasse mit super Blick aufs Meer. Etwas düster, aber so ist das in den kleinen Gassen der Altstadt eben.

Magnifique!

Nous avons passé 15 jours très agréable dans cette très jolie maison au coeur de la vieille ville de Menton. On est au calme, tout en étant à 5 minutes de la plage et de tous les commerces. La vue depuis le balcon, sur la Méditerranée et l' Italie, est extraordinaire. Très vivement recommandé .

Haus mit Charakter, antiken Möbeln und liebevoller Einrichtung mitten in der historischen Altstadt

Schönes altes Haus in der historischen Altstadt, toller Ausblick. Sehr schön möbliert mit antiken Einzelstücken, vielen Büchern und Fotos und liebevoll dekoriert. Nichts für Leute die schlecht zu Fuß oder sehr groß sind. Im August ist das Haus sehr warm (Ventilatoren helfen) und der Kies-Strand voll. Viele Freizeitaktivitäten direkt am Hafen ( Stand Up Paddeling, Jetski-Verleih, Kajak-Verleih etc.) nur 5 min zu Fuß. Es lohnen Ausflüge ins Hinterland. In 30 min. ist man in den Bergen, dort ist es kühler und in den Flüssen kann man toll schwimmen und springen. Auch empfehlenswert ist der Rundweg um Cap Martin. Dauert ca 1 h, ab Haus ca. 2 h. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ca. 15 min entfernt, Restaurants ca. 5 min. Vermieter sind sehr nett, haben kurzfristig um Bettwäsche gebeten, war kein Problem. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit, würden das nächste Mal aber eher nicht im August fahren.

Urlaub in Menton

Wir waren zu dritt in diesem Haus um einen erholsamen Urlaub zu verbringen. Leider mußten wir recht bald feststellen, so einfach wird das nicht. Das Objekt steht zentral in der dicht bebauten Altstadt und ist nur über Treppen zu erreichen. Da überlegt man 2x, ob man noch schnell mal zum Bäcker oder Supermarkt geht. Im Haus selbst war alles vorhanden was man so braucht. Mokkakocher, Toaster u.s.w.. Die sanitären Anlagen sind eher renovierungsbedürftig. Dafür entschädigte ein unvergessliches Panorama vom Balkon aus. Desweiteren war alles sauber. Auch die vorhandenen Handtücher und die Bettwäsche waren in Ordnung und reichlich vorhanden. Die netten Vermieter gaben uns viele Tipps und Hinweise was Strand, Lokale etc. betraf. Für unseren Geschmack war der Preis für dieses Ferienhaus etwas überteuert.

It’s a hop, step (well quite a few steps..) and a jump from the promenade, restaurants and up to magnificent view points. To be situated in this characterful house in the old town is a great privilege and makes for an authentic experience.

We had a wonderful 11 day stay in Menton. The town, food and restaurants were excellent. This was our first trip to Menton and we plan to return and stay in the same home if available.

Brilliant property in a lovely place!

This house is brilliant. It is in a lovely quiet part of the old town, is spacious and has the most wonderful balcony. We spent a lot of time watching the world go by from the balcony. Dominique is very helpful and helped us arrange a number of activities and day trips in the local area. One key point to note is that the house is situated in the old town which requires climbing a large number of steps to get to, it is also situated over 4 floors so more stairs to climb! Not recommended to anyone with mobility issues. We would definitely stay here again!

Nous avons été conquis par le lieu (à tous égards)

Nous avons vraiment passé un excellent séjour dans cette chouette maison/musée idéalement située dans le vieux Menton... La maison sur quatre étages présente un côté tout à fait authentique, et pour autant, on y trouve tout le confort moderne : wifi, lecteur dvd, etc. Mention spéciale à la literie très confortable. Nous avons profité pleinement de cet endroit très chaleureux en plein coeur de l'hiver et avons été ravis de passer le cap de cette nouvelle année dans ce petit cocon, entourés de bouquins et d'objets d'antiquité ! A noter également, une riche documentation sur les environs. Bien sûr, les photos ne mentent pas et au dernier étage, la vue du balcon sur la frontière italienne est fantastique. De jour comme de nuit, c'est un véritable tableau ! Nous avons été gentiment accueillis par Josepha et avons également apprécié le petit cadeau à l'arrivée :) Bref, nous avons passé un formidable moment et ne pouvons que recommander vivement cette adresse.

Holiday High

Good holiday homes are hard to find, and this is no exception. Take sturdy shoes and a map. There is a climb of over 100 steep stone steps through Menton old town to the house, and another three dozen or so inside the house. The pedestrianised vieille ville dates from the renaissance period, a twisting labyrinth of narrow ochre and pink houses and stairways. When you reach the beautiful baroque basilica, you’re nearly there! Recuperate with a glass of wine on the balcony, with sublime views stretching across the sea to Italy, magnificent by day and super sparkling at night. I couldn’t persuade my partner to serenade me, but there was an excellent violinist neighbour who could be heard practising and next door’s cats were very friendly… This atmospheric old house is a convenient ten mins to the beach and five mins to town. There is plenty of room, spread over four floors. Abundant antiques, curios and books create a fascinating, quirky interior. Wi-fi 4Mb/s on top floor (living room). This place is touched with magic and we would recommend to anyone with the proviso that you do need to be reasonably fit to cope with the steps, it would not be suitable for anyone with a mobility problem, also the old town and house are quite dark so this could be an issue for anyone with a visual impairment.

A very special house in the picturesque old town of Menton.

This is the perfect house if your looking for a place to stay with a lot of charachter and history. It is an old house which has a museum-like feeling, filled with antiques and it is very well equipped and maintained. The house has four floors containing a laundry, two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, livingroom and a balcony. The balcony has a great view over Menton and its beaches, perfect for taking a glass of wine late afternoon. The house is centrally situated in the heart of the old town close to restaurants, shops and the beach. Dominique and his wife are very nice and welcoming and had arranged with all necessities in the house as well as a thorough guide to the location. If we visit Menton again, we would love to come back to this house!

Amazing home to enjoy our holiday, far better than we had expected

My first impression of the property was WOW, the exterior is stunning and looks just like the pictures, very traditional and in a nice street in the picturesque old town. The house is far bigger than the pictures show, we were really shocked at the price in comparison with other Menton properties, there are studios at almost double the price we paid for a very large townhouse! it is spread over 4 floors with one large balcony off of the lounge and one Juliet balcony in the kitchen. it was great to have breakfast on the main balcony overlooking the stunning mountains and bay each morning also at night seeing all of the boats and Italy lit up, it's an extremely romantic spot. It is a 5 min walk down to the fine shingle beach, there is a public and private beach, we used the private one daily just because it was quieter. Everything is really well equipped and the house is furnished with traditional and antique furniture. There is everything you could need in the kitchen to prepare meals and there is really good WIFI which works across all of the floors. We warmed instantly to the owners, they are both keen for people to have a good and comfortable stay, an information pack was there to show how everything works in the house, we were shown all of the main things on check in. Menton itself is a low key resort, emphasis is more on lazy days on the beach, good food, quiet drinks in the evenings and good sightseeing, all of this is right on the doorstep of the house, within a 5 min walk. There are lots of boring white box apartments in Menton but to have a true experience of the place this is the kind of home you need to rent, we stayed for 2 weeks and saw countless people photographing the house and heard many saying how beautiful it was. Many thanks to Dominique & Josepha for sharing you're beautiful home, if we ever visit Menton in the future we would be sure to book again, a great first booking with this site too!
