The farmhouse was immaculate. John was very friendly and available to answer questions. The views from the farmhouse are spectacular all year round but particularly in the fall!
Owners are friendly and helpful! The place is well maintained and extremely clean! Everything we needed is there. I'm a return visitor and plan on returning again! I can't say enough wonderful things about my stays here!

Great to have you as a repeat customer. Looking forward to seeing you again.
This quaint house was perfect for our family. He even had legos for our little one! The family room was great for playing cards and watching dvds. We skied at jiminy and walked around the beautiful property in the early morning. It was so peaceful waking up and looking out at the snow on the farm.
The Farm at Mt. Meadow was the perfect place for my elderly mother to stay! The property offers a wonderful mix of accessibility, comfort and space for us all to gather, with its open floor plan, deck and well equipped kitchen. Loved the sweeping country views and the ability to get outside and walk the farm. John & Cindy, who were there to greet us, made checking in and out a breeze. I’m delighted to say that we have already scheduled our next visit!

Was so happy we could accommodate your mother and to see how happy she was to be there. Thank you for choosing to stay with us.
The Farm in Stephentown was perfect. Quite a good size home with plenty of space to be tranquil or to hang out with friends/family.
John and Cindy were great hosts! They had everything we needed and gave us quite a few areas to explore.
My favorite part was just the peace and playing cards with friends. We bbq'd, talked, fed the pigs and Ranger(their horse).
Highly recommend...we can't wait to go back! Thanks John and Cindy!

It was great to see all of you, looking forward to your next visit
So many things I loved about our visit:
1. immaculately clean, lovingly furnished in a very special way
2. very spacious--the family room with games gave extra room to spread out.
3. small patio was nice.
4. 100% peace and quiet--never any sound from traffic, you could see the stars at night.
5. Easy 25-minute drive into northern Berkshires for the art museums (MassMOCA, Clark Institute, Williams College Art Museum, etc). You do need to plan ahead to get timed tickets.
6. Friendly on-site host who even broght down a jar of oil when I noticed there wasn't any in the kitchen.
A relaxed peaceful vacation.
We really enjoyed our stay on the ground floor of John’s house very much Sept 7-14, 2020. John was upstairs and in the office through the door sometimes but we were happy to know he was there if we needed anything. He was more than pleased to help print things like tickets from online for us. The view of the farm buildings and equipment from the beautiful bay windows in the dining area of the kitchen was lovely and interesting! The cats, the geese, the occasional horse, the corn fields— what more could you ask for as a “get away from it all” stay! The kitchen was wonderfully equipped with everything and we enjoyed grilling on the deck. I was glad there were AC units too for when it was hot. The only thing that surprised us was that the windows of the bedrooms looked into the garage. We didn’t really care though because we were never in the bedrooms during the day time. The house was perfect as far as we were concerned. We enjoyed the outings in the area too. We liked going to Jiminy Peak and Williamstown as well as taking the tour of the Van Buren home in Kinderhook.
We had a great stay at John's property! It was comfortable, clean, SUPER CLEAN, quiet and spacious. My family needed a place to stay during a local event and this home was so much better than a hotel. We were all able to stay under 1 roof and had plenty of room for everyone. From the front enclosed porch, living room, kitchen, game room to the back deck, I used every area in the house at different times of day. The game room has a gas stove that I really wanted to use but had some trouble figuring out how to start. I contacted John and within 5 minutes, he had sent someone to the house to show me how to use it and start it. My family loved coming back to the house after being out in the cold all day.
We saw beautiful sunrises each morning while eating breakfast!. The kitchen had every appliance you could want. And we had a huge garage that we could use, too. No unloading and loading in bad weather, which we were fortunate not to have during this trip. When we are back in this area, this will be the first place I look for availability!
Had a wonderful stay! Everything was great; clean, quiet and had everything you needed for a long stay. There was plenty to do in the area along with many good restaurants. John and Cindy could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
Great spot, kind host, just what we were looking for
It's difficult to find a wheelchair accessible property, and this worked quite well for us. Doorways were too narrow for the chair, which might be important to know but was not a dealbreaker for us. Scrupulously clean, extremely comfortable house. About a half hour from the Lenox/Stockbridge area, which was our focus for theater and Tanglewood, but very rural and quiet, nothing like that tourist Mecca. Close to Jiminy Peak, a bonus for my kids, who love the summer activities there. Would definitely return if John would have us!
If you're looking for a working country farm with lots of open space, this is the house for you! The owner is very nice and the place is clean, cozy and restful.
We had a wonderful time at out visit to the farmhouse at Stephentown. The foliage was spectacular. The house itself was spotless and well equipped. Apple picking at a nearby orchard was fun - as was meeting John the owner and Dave and Ranger the horse and the 3 little pigs!
We chose this place because we were looking for some fall scenery near the Berkshires. While this is technically right over the border of MA, it was the rustic and charming location we were looking for. Spacious farmhouse on a working farm with lots of room to roam (our little one loved seeing pigs and horses) and beautiful views of surrounding hills with colorful trees. There is not a whole lot in the immediate area, but that suited us just fine for a relaxing fall getaway from it all. Thanks so much!
This beautiful house was immaculately clean, and clearly much thought was put into stocking supplies, including linens and plenty of towels, paper goods, a Keurig, games, and a kitchen with everything we needed. The view from the picture window in the kitchen is stunning, and talking walks at twilight was just what my family needed. John brought us freshly picked tomatoes and was very available to answer questions. I could not recommend this place more!
The place was better than I expected. Beautiful interior, nice and cozy. It was 7 miles from the ski mountain, so it was a quick ride. Dealing with John was easy, a few text and we arranged the check in and out. A good selection for those staying in this part of New York or visiting the Berkshires.
We enjoyed this house for a mini family reunion. Every kitchen gadget was supplied! The fridge is huge! The scenery was lovely and the sledding was fabulous! Enjoy!
John’s property was beyond perfection. It’s located in the most peaceful setting and the views were just magnificent. There is so much land to explore around the property, everything was so beautiful...especially around this time of the year with the foliage. Added bonus was seeing my 3 year old son’s excitement looking at all the different farm trucks, having so much land to ride his bike, visiting the horse down the field and walking to the pond. John’s house has everything you could possibly need for a VERY comfortable stay, it’s so spacious and also super clean. We loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to go back! Thanks so much John for your hospitality!
If you want to get away this is the place. The area is absolutely beautiful, the home is clean and very well appointed. The owner is amazing & very kind. We will definitely be back, we already miss it so much! Our next visit we plan on staying at the rental more and traveling less, it's just that relaxing!!
This property easily housed my family of 6 (4 adults and 2 children). We stayed for a local family wedding and mostly used the hpuse as our B&B so we didn't get to enjoy all the amenities, however, we will consider this property again for any visits. This property was quiet, clean and John was easy to get in touch with and very accommodating. Highly recommend this property!
