The atypical and bright apartment is located on the 2nd and last floor of our family house from 1900 renovated in the preservation of the charm of the old 4 km from the center of Strasbourg, in the village of Eckbolsheim, a small town that adjoins Strasbourg and also the surrounding countryside.

The apartment, on the back of the house overlooks a beautiful garden in harmony with places and brought joy to the hostess. Our location makes it an ideal base for exploring Strasbourg and Alsace, the Vosges and even Germany incursions by beautiful Black Forest, Baden Baden, etc ....

Children are not forgotten in our region: they can learn about science while having fun family at Ship in Strasbourg have his head in the stars at the Planetarium or sail on the Ill river by river boat .... The little ones can visit the petting farm at Fort Kléber in Wolfisheim, close to home .... or feed the monkeys at liberty to Monkey Mountain, discover the white wolves to the park Holy Cross or to make frights or not Europapark 45 minutes from home.
If a beautiful relationship is established with your children, we can provide babysitting in the evening to allow you to have a couple evening.

Marianne is a fantastic host, very friendly and accomodating. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We're VRBO regulars and we'd put this stay on the top of our list. The kitchen is well equipped and overlooks her beautiful garden. Convenient to public transport. We definitely recommend.

The beauty of Strasbourg and the Alsace region of France.

The apartment was perfect, the owners were wonderful, and the area is easy to travel throughout due to excellent public transportation. The food and wine are fantastic, and the people are very friendly. We took a Walking Food Tour and Wind Tour, both were outstanding. Enjoy!

Relaxing space

Very nice apartment outside of Strasbourg. Excellent hosts. The apartment was well supplied and in excellent condition. A short walk to tram or bus into town and near a grocery store (Norma). Whether you want to get out and about or just hang out and relax—we did both—this is a good choice. After a week in small hotel rooms it was nice to have a home like place. Marianne is very attentive and if you’re lucky as we were she’ll treat you to her own preserves and Alsatian pastries!

Wonderful accommodation, wonderful hosts!

This place is truly amazing---beautiful inside and out. The balcony provided gorgeous sunset and distant mountain views (on clear days), and plenty of stork sightings (we saw over 30 storks from the balcony). Everything in the home is as described, and the location is very near both the tram to downtown Strasbourg and a canal bike path, which stretches for miles and miles (into Strasbourg, and away towards tons of villages). We borrowed bikes on three days to explore the path--this was one of our 14 year old's favorite part of our trip in France. If you want to explore Strasbourg, but prefer a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful place to stay, consider booking Marianne and Ali's accommodation. They are truly wonderful hosts, with a beautiful and private top floor ready for guests.

Charming

Our small group traveled from the US. Over the last 10 years we have stayed at multiple VRBO, this has been our Favorite to date. You greeted with the most Gracious host. The apartment is on the top floor of their beautiful home. Upon our arrival, our host had made Fresh baked goods along with fresh jams and a vase of fresh flowers for their garden. It was perfect. We enjoyed our stay in the comfortable space provided. There is a small balcony off the kitchen where you can sit and enjoy the view. The little apartment was very comfortable and offered everything you need. The location is within walking distance to the nearby train station or a short walk down the street to nearby stores and restaurants. Their place has it all and we’re so thankful for the warm welcome and hospitality given. Wish our stay was longer and given the opportunity we would 100% come back and stay again

Lovely apartment in Strasbourg

Our stay at Marianne’s place was wonderful. She greeted us with a homemade kugelhopf and homemade jams😊. All excellent! The Apartment is clean and comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed and was easy to cook in. The views of her lush garden was such a treat. And the place is quiet at night - unlike the downtown Strasbourg place we stayed prior to renting Marianne’s apartment. We were able to walk to several locations and the tram was just about 10 min away so we could get to many places easily! If you are very lucky Marianne might show you her amazing antique wood burning stove and oven. If you like to cook like I do, you will be impressed with this 1904 stove!

Lovely time in eckbolsheim

Have stayed at many VRBO properties over the years. We have only once had such gracious hosts as Marianne and Ali. Marianne picked us up from the train station. Throughout the week she left little surprise dishes for us to try. Apricot tarts were amazing. Her and Ali had us down for snacks one evening and throughly enjoyed talking with them. Their property is right by the tram and tram runs right into Strausbourg. Nice to stay in quiet area when we return home. We even walked into town a couple of times along canal. About 3 miles. Also easy to take tram to train station if you want to explore more of Alsace. Enjoyed every minute. Also have lovely balcony that I could read on every morning. Thanks for everything

Gentle days in Eckbolsheim

We had a delightful stay with Marianne and her husband. After many weeks travelling, the quiet 3-night stay a short tram-ride outside of La Petite France (Strasbourg) rejuvenated us. The apartment was fully stocked with everything we needed (including for making evening meals), well functioning air conditioning, clean clean, and a lovely balcony overlooking the lovely garden for breakfast and evening relaxing. Marianne was there to settle us in even though we arrived very late -- and even helped us with breakfast that first morning. She educated us in basic Strasbourg/Alsace history through pictures of the historical house and family. She and her husband were so welcoming and helpful, directing us to local stores, tram stops, getting early morning taxi etc. Not to speak of a little gift of tasty tomatoes from their garden! They clearly have experience welcoming guests — they perfectly mix friendliness with professionalism. We look forward to seeing you again, Marianne, for a bike ride along the canal! Vraiment un grand "merci".

Sehr süße Wohnung in einer schönen alten Villa

Wir wurden sehr nett begrüßt mit Gugelhupf und selbstgemachter Marmelade. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und hat alles was man braucht. Zur Straßenbahnhaltestelle läuft man ca. 10 Minuten. In Eckbolsheim selbst gibt es einen Supermarkt und ein paar Restaurants.

Unsere Zeit in der Ferienwohnung war sehr schön. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen und fühlten uns sofort wohl. Die Wohnung ist nicht nur sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet, sondern auch hervorragend ausgestattet – es hat uns an nichts gefehlt.Besonders begeistert waren wir von der ruhigen Lage und dem schönen Garten. Auch die Nähe zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Sehenswürdigkeiten war ideal - alles ist nur eine Trambahnfahrt entfernt.Die Gastgeber waren jederzeit erreichbar, unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit – man merkt sofort, dass ihnen das Wohl ihrer Gäste am Herzen liegt (wir bekamen sogar eine leckere Oster-Überraschung).Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt rundum genossen. Une adresse à retenir- Un lugar al que volver

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Marianne et Ali. La maison est superbe, avec tous les équipements dont nous avions besoin et une magnifique histoire centenaire à ne pas manquer. Marianne et Ali sont les meilleurs hôtes que l'on puisse trouver. Ils nous ont merveilleusement accueillis, nous ont offert des plats typiques d'Alsace et nous ont aidés à sélectionner les meilleurs sites à visiter des deux côtés du Rhin. En somme, une adresse à conserver pour y retourner sans doute. Un grand merci à vous deux ! La estancia en casa de Marianne y Ali ha sido una de las mejores que hemos tenido en nuestros viajes. La casa es muy agradable, muy bien equipada y limpia, y situada estratégicamente para permitir un acceso rápido a Estrasburgo. Pero lo mejor han sido nuestros anfitriones, siempre atentos y amables. Un encanto de pareja que han contribuido a que estos días en Alsacia hayan sido una excelente experiencia, ayudándonos a seleccionar los puntos a visitar. Una dirección a retener y un lugar al que volver, sin duda ¡Mil gracias a ambos!

Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber

Die Überschrift sagt schon alles. Sogar das Reservieren eines Tisches im Restaurant wurde einem abgenommen. Zur Begrüßung gab es selbstgemachte Marmeladen und einen Gugelhupf. Besser geht es nicht. Das Auto stand die ganze Zeit gut in einer Nebenstraße, die Tram nach Straßburg nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Und so nebenbei konnte man mit den Gastgebern sein Französisch aufpolieren... :-)

Toller Aufenthalt in familiärer Atmosphäre

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohlgefühlt, es ist sehr sauber. Für unseren Aufenthalt war alles vorhanden, sogar ein frischer Guglhupf und selbstgemachte Marmeladen als Begrüßung. Wir wurden herzlich von unseren Gastgebern empfangen. Unser Auto konnten wir problemlos direkt nebenan in der Privatstrasse parken. Ein kurzer Fünf-Minuten-Weg zur Straßenbahn nach Strasbourg Zentrum - so konnten wir das Auto stehenlassen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Immer eine Reise wert

Marianne und Ali sind so herzliche Gastgeber! Wir haben uns direkt Willkommen gefühlt und die Ferienwohnung ist ein kleines Juwel! Es wird an alles gedacht, die Anbindung an Strasbourg ist hervorragend und Eckbolsheim ist auch jederzeit einen Spaziergang wert! Superbe logement, tout proche du centre de Strasbourg

Appartement en très bon état, très propre très bien équipé, au 2ème étage d'une belle maison. Marianne et son mari sont très accueillants et sympathiques, avec de gentilles attentions au cours du séjour. Le logement est situé à 10/15 mn du centre de Strasbourg en tram. Tout était parfait, et nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances.
