super house in the middle of a lovely village. The house has eveythong you need, from 3 comptable bedrooms right through to the well stocked kitchen.The outside space is amazing, the pool being the icing on the cake.Ita a fabulous place as a base to explore the stunning area or just to chill out.Its only a two minute walk into Daglan centre for the supermarket, boulangerie and two superb restaurants.I would highly recommend. We will be back.

Ideal location and house suitable for our needs ,lovely outside space .

Good location within lovely village ,restaurants and shops meant we didn't have to go elsewhere . Outside space very nice and we only went inside the property to prepare food and sleep !.Good walking from village and well signposted.Many places to visit nearby.

Peaceful location, lovely pool 🏊‍♀️

We had a really brilliant week here, the location is beautiful and convenient for this lovely area of France and it's a real bonus that the boulangerie and shop are so close by to get fresh pastries and bread each morning. The outside area and pool were our favourite bits, it's just so peaceful and the pool is a really good size. We would love to come back some day ☺️

Idyllic location

Perfect place to stay. Property is clean and outdoor area is amazing surrounded by beautiful countryside. We loved our stay here and the short walk into Daglan where there is a choice of 3 restaurants to eat in. It is a short drive to a number of fantastic places to visit in the stunning Dordogne region. We’ll be back!!

Perfect location in a beautiful village but also private and adjacent to woodland. Excellent base for visiting Domme, Sarlat, Beymac etc. the restaurant in the village ‘Le Petit Paris’ was excellent and also allowed the dog to join is. Thouroughly recommend this lovely property

This house exceeded all of our expectations. Beautiful french decor and furniture inside. Three large bedrooms. Beds lovely and comfy. Beautiful clean and large pool. Beautiful patio furniture to chill on with a glass of wine. We took our jack russell and fence around property was 100 % dog proof. We absolutely loved it here. Thank you

Super village location

The house is located at the centre of a very pretty village with good amenities and 3 places to eat including a lovely Michelin rated restaurant. We felt at home and enjoyed the garden and pool. The house was a little dated but had everything we needed. The weather was very hot and despite excellent fans the bedrooms really could do with air conditioning or mosquito netting to allow windows to be left open at night. The stairs were a little tricky when carrying luggage and we were surprised that we had to make up the beds with the linen provided on arrival. We had a problem on arrival logging on to the WiFi but our host was very responsive and came in person to sort it out. Overall a great stay and we recommend this property.

Lovely location, pretty house, great pool...

La Poche is in an ideal location in the pretty village of Daglan. Sunday market, restaurants, small supermarket, and a boulangerie. The house is down a little lane behind the market square. The house is really pretty with good space around it. Our first impression was good. Unfortunately the garden and kitchen are a little tired and need some updating. Fencing and gate broken with nails exposed. Oven and hood dirty with broken panel under the cooker. The pool pump broke and took a week to be fixed but we were still able to use the lovely pool. Garden furniture shows some wear and tear and needs replacing for next season. We contacted the agent who fixed the pool and replaced a chair and vacuum and kindly provided a further fan as it was on the 40s the week we arrived. Unfortunately the agent was not helpful with regards to the other items that need maintenance. We would certainly visit again if the property receives some maintenance.

Leuk huisje

Gelegen in een mooi en rustig dorpje met bakker, supermarkt en 2 goede restaurants op wandelafstand. Jammer genoeg geen gelegenheid om is terrasje met drankje te doen. Buitenverlichting aan het zwembad terras is wel voor verbetering vatbaar, net als het koffiezetapparaat dat 1h nodig heeft om koffie te schenken. Voor de rest top 👍

Vacances reposantes en famille dans un cadre très agréable

Nous avons passé 2 semaines de vacances à La Poche / Daglan. La maison est parfaitement adaptée à une vie de famille et est très bien équipée. La piscine est très agréable et apporte la fraicheur nécessaire notamment en période de canicule (comme la période où nous étions à Daglan). Le gérant immobilier est très accessible et la communication est fluide. Daglan est un petit village de charme et avec une boulangerie, un Proxi et un marché le dimanche matin, ce qui facilite la vie quotidienne !

Leuk huis op prima locatie. je loopt zo via een dorpsplein naar de bakker, een kleine supermarkt en een goed restaurant. Leuke dorpjes in de omgeving.

Vakantiewoning Daglan

Mooie vakantiewoning midden in een schattig dorpje. De woning was precies maanden niet gepoetst. Spinnenwebben, plakkerige ijskast en ga maar door. Dus eerst even poetsen voor de vakantie kon beginnen. Als dit in orde was een prima vakantie gehad!

Perfect

The villa was wonderful and the pool and garden made the holiday for us. Perfect location - not overlooked yet a two minute walk to the boulangerie, 8-8 and two excellent restaurants. We enjoyed some great days out in this beautiful area and would come again at the drop of a hat. Highly recommended

A lovely house in a beautiful quiet spot.

We had a lovely calm relaxing holiday in a beautifully quiet location in the heart of Daglan We would have liked to have seen some steps/handrail to support getting out of the pool and also perhaps some sort of basic welcome pack of essential items ready for our 4-30 pm arrival. Other than this we thought the house was perfect for our needs. Thank you

Brilliant stay in Daglan

We arrived at La Poche on the 23rd July 2016 and stayed for 12 nights. The Gite was clean and tidy and well maintained. The pool was really nice to plunge into as it was really hot whilst we were there. The village has a couple of restaurants, a small supermarket and a boulangerie. there is also a very nice cafe at the far end of the village. There is a local market in the village on Sunday mornings. I would recommend the Gite and the village as a great place to relax and chill out.

A WONDERFUL HOUSE IN A BEAUTIFVUL VILLAGE

My partner and I have stayed in many parts of France - usually self catering for the main part of our holiday. Some have been great, some less so but none have been as nice as Poche. We loved it - despite the worst weather we've ever known on holiday. Usually this would cloud (if you will excuse the pun) our judgement - but because the setting was so lovely and the house well equipped, cosy and comfortable - we actually had a great time. To date - we've never revisited an accommodation, but I suspect Poche will prove to be the exception to the rule. The location is brilliant for both the Dorgogne and the Lot and the situation of the house itself in Daglan couldn't be better - 2 minutes walk from the market square, minimarket, fabulous restaurant (Le Petit Paris) and the less glamourous but necessary recycle point! Our local contact - Melenie - was helpful and accommodating, and although we didn't take up the offer - the suggestion of shopping in advance for you was a nice touch. Location ? 10/10, House? 10/10? Weather..in the words of Meatloaf - 22 out of 3 aint bad."
