Welcome to Kauai!
I have lived in San Diego for over 30 years and I am a financial advisor dealing in investments and retirement planning.
Larry Manuel purchased this condo in 2006
We honeymooned in Kauai in 2000 and fell
in love with the island.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the condo we rented at Waipouli. The complex has a great pool area with water slides and a walking river with waterfalls. The complex is adjacent to the beach.
Our unit was very good overall. Just a couple of negatives in the kitchen: the built-in microwave is broken, so they have a portable on the counter which is fine. Also, the electric stove top is very slow to warm up and to boil water. And you need to be aware that there is a lock on the stove top for safety reasons. Others in our party stayed at this condo complex, and they had the same stove top issue. Not a deal-breaker, but helpful to know. Otherwise, the furnishings were very good, beds were comfy, and overall a great place to stay in Kauai!
I took my son and his family for spring break. The accommodations were perfect. And so easy to grab some groceries or a Starbucks. And my 10 year old grandson practically lived in the pool. If I return to Kauai, this is where I would definitely stay.
Had a great time. Condo had everything we needed. Even though we faced the parking lot the noise of the traffic didn't keep us awake. I would recommomend this place.
Our family of six adults and a toddler stayed Feb 11-15. We found the property to be a perfect fit for our family. It was very convenient to go to Costco and the Safeway to buy groceries. The kitchen had some basic spices and a few extras that were probably left by other guests. Needs a few repairs with the built-in microwave not working, sliding screens need to be replaced on doors, need new handle on washer, and the dryer takes forever to dry. Having the washer/dryer there was extremely convenient. The condo was very clean and furnishings were sufficient. The view of the parking lot may not be as beautiful as the beach, but enjoyed sitting out there. Never felt as if there was any noise and the resort never felt crowded. The resort staff was friendly, but not intrusive. The key code worked great to be able to go straight to the room without a check-in process. The property is in a nice central location - close to the airport and nice day trips north and south. We definitely would recommend this property to others and would stay here if we ever get back to Kauai!
My wife and I enjoyed the cleanliness of the accommodations and the excellent services that apply to the resort in its entirety. We especially enjoyed the convenience of public transportation via bus to each part of the island, so we traveled by bus north to Hanalei and south to the Poipu area.
We were able to enjoy warm weather for a full month without ever having to turn on the air-conditioning. The Safeway store just across the street made grocery-shopping easy. The traffic for cars can be a bit congested, but it is not a significant problem. Also, the pool-area and the beach along the ocean provide easy access to relaxed pleasure.
I'm a bicyclist, so that the six-mile stretch from the resort to the northern reach of the as-yet not fully extended path is a delight. This wholly paved path is wide enough to comfortably accommodate walkers as well as bicyclists. I rented my bike from one of the many bike-rental outfits in the vicinity. The spa area at the resort also rents bikes, and the people there were very accommodating when I needed to service my bike.
For me a month's stay on Kauai proved to be very stimulating to the imagination. The flora and fauna are in keen contrast to what I am used to at home in northern Illinois. I enjoyed our tour of the coffee plantation and of the small botanical garden at the location of the mini-golf course. Of course, the nearly daily travels by bike along the ocean-shore and the opportunity to write at leisure in the early mornings made being a temporary "Hawaiian" memorable to me. I suggest that our lodgings on the top floor of the complex, the easy access to all sorts of conveniences, and the unobtrusive, excellent attendance by the staff at the resort make this location an excellent choice for a delightful experience.
A great, comfortable well furnished unit. We really used the extra things like coolers and beach chairs. It was very nice that all the detergents were also furnished. We all enjoyed staying here so much. The pool was also wonderful. The location was excellent also for wherever you were going!
