It was the perfect location for our stay in Kauai. We felt it was centrally located on the island and was near a shopping center with a grocery store, shops and restaurants. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Would stay again!

A wonderful place to stay

The unit is lovely and just large enough for our family of seven. The kitchen is well stocked. We loved having three bathrooms. The beach is an easy two minute walk. There was an issue with the kitchen sink draining, and the property manager got it taken care off the same day. Having the grocery store right across the street is convenient. There are a lot of very good restaurants within a five minute drive. 10/10

Perfect Location

We loved staying at the Waipouli Beach Resort! It's in the perfect location to have easy access to most of the highlights on the beautiful island of Kauai. Even though there was a bit of an issue upon our arrival, everything was resolved and we were able to enjoy our stay. The communication from the cleaning crew and ownership was great and we were very grateful for the support from all involved. We would definitely stay here again - hopefully next time it can be for a longer period of time.

Really enjoyed this condo

The condo was actually nicer than the pictures... clean, spacious. Property pool area is lovely and fun. Proximity to the store and other shops was also really nice. We really enjoyed our time here.

Family vacation

This property was perfect for our family vacation and was everything we wanted. Our grandkids loved the pool and the Boogie Boards were the biggest hit. Thanks for the wonderful living conditions and all the accessories.

Nice property

We enjoyed our stay. There are are some maintenance issues that could be addressed- loose door knobs, torn screens etc. It would also be nice to have some better lighting. The living spaces felt very dark. The pool, hot tub and beach were all great. The resort has a very casual vibe which we appreciated.

Home Coming

We owned a unit in Waipouli since it opened and sold 2 years ago. Larry’s lovely unit has the same Mountain View that our unit had. We love the resort and have already rebooked for next year. Sheila was our cleaner and is still doing a great job! The hot tub is a late afternoon treat! Sunrise on the beach is the perfect start to the day! Larry is the perfect host

Great place!

Great place to stay. Close to store and right on the beach. Loved it was in a resort but the convenience to bring your own food and drinks and cook if desired. The property was great with 2 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Loved the porches and access to open up doors to balconies for a fresh breeze if desired. The only design flaw of the place is that there is a shuttered opening between the bathroom and room with 2 double beds that wakes up others in the room with light and sound if using the bathroom at night. Also, not as private as the shutters open to reveal people using to the bathroom. We rented bikes from downstairs and it was close to miles of paths on the shore. The pool was awesome as well as the restaurant right on the beach. Would stay here again!

Pretty condo but unprofessional owner and area could be more clean.

This condo is beautiful. The kitchen has high end appliances which makes the kitchen inviting and sleek looking upon entry into the condo. The furniture is nice and the condo itself is very spacious. The resort is also nice. There is a pool and a lazy river to enjoy. Here is a couple of reasons why I won’t give this place 5 stars. We checked in very late. As I was inspecting the condo, I noticed damage to the stove top. The shades in one of the bedrooms weren’t working and the sheets did not seem to be clean. There was visible dirt on them. Since it was so late, I messaged the owner on VRBO letting him know the things I found instead of texting so late. The next morning, I still didnt hear from him. I then texted him letting him know what I found. I never heard one word back from the owner. I did tell him it’s okay the sheets weren’t clean because we could just wash them ourselves. But as a courtesy, he should have acknowledged that he got my message or text. I know they aren’t real issues but some wouldn’t be as nice as me and say don’t worry about the sheets. Had the owner gotten back with me, I wouldn’t even be putting this on my review. Also, there are literally only enough towels for one per person which limits activities. Toilet paper was also limited. The glass table in the living area wasn’t wiped down either. You also have to make sure YOU start the laundry and put it in the dryer before you leave. You have to make sure that you start the dishwasher and all trash is out. There is a sign on the door. I understand most of this being done by me but I’m wondering why I’m paying cleaning fees when it really wasn’t THAT clean when we got here and the amount of stuff we have to do before we leave. You also have to take the top cover of the beds off or you can be charged a cleaning fee. So, we had a sheet and a light blanket to sleep with. We folded up the quilt put it in the top of the closet so nothing happened to it. You also can’t sleep on the pillow shams so we put those up too along with the decorative pillows. Look, it really is a nice place to stay but the little things add up to a lot of problems. I should really be giving it 2 stars but I’m giving 3 because of the location of the resort. It’s very close to most things here on island.

Our stay was, overall, very lovely in this unit. Plenty of space for our family of 7. Loved that there were 2 sinks in each bathroom and a separate powder room. Pull out sofa mattress was the nicest we've ever used. Plenty of linens. Views were only okay. You are mostly looking at the Safeway plaza across the street and listening to the street noise on the balcony (didn't stop us from using it). Kids really enjoyed the pool. Husband enjoyed the gym. I was able to easily get to the walk/bike path along the beach for running. Our one hiccup was that when we arrived, the door code we were given did not work and no one was responding to texts, calls or emails. After awhile, we were planning to leave the resort and head to a hotel when we happened to run into the on-site property manager. He was able to check our reservation and get us into the unit with a new door code. It was rather stressful after a long day of travel and 5 kids in tow. However, we were very fortunate that it worked out. The on-island contact lady for this unit happened to be traveling at the same time we arrived, but was otherwise very responsive to our texts with questions during the rest of our stay.We would stay at this resort again.

Great location, great pool, nice beach. Wish we had the view of the ocean as in the pictures. Hot tubs were excellent. Condo was stocked well. The big negative was the noise during the night from the road. Have previously stayed in this complex but never before so close to the road. Sirens and horn honking was all through the night. Would stay here again if not for the high traffic noise.

Great time!

Check in was so easy. The place was big, resort is on beach, but the beach gets rocky after the first few feet in. Luckily, there are lots of sandy beaches just a few minutes away! It was great for our family of 6, we loved the place!

Location and amenities

First time to Kauai. Condo was well appointed, conveniently located. Short drive to airport, north and south shores. Property itself is lovely with an excellent spa, pool, hot tubs and beach. Across from the street from Safeway and some restaurants, short drive to just about anything else, mountain tubing, helicopter flights, Costco, etc. Beach is good for strong swimmers and fun to play in. Host was great and communicative.
