Had a wonderful stay at Spiker Spring cabin. The fish were biting and the scenery was beautiful!! Our dog, Ruger, enjoyed being off leash and running free.
We absolutely had the best time. This is the most relaxed I've been in a long time! The pond provided endless hours of entertainment and was so warm. The cabin was very functional and comfy. The scenery was outstanding! We loved the remote, private setting. Everything was just perfect.
We were looking for a property that was secluded and pet friendly and it was exactly as advertised. This property was ADORABLE and clean. Will definitely be considering it in the future. Hopefully with warmer weather as well to be able to enjoy the pond too. You won't regret staying here.

Beautiful
Stayed in the cabin for softball tournament in Zanesville. Owners were great. Place was clean and ready to go. Amazing, private setting with beautiful views of hills and lake. Would Love to stay again. Cell service was weak in the cabin, but signal could be obtained within a 100 feet of the cabin. Highly recommend for any lodging need.
Needed a place to stay with our dogs while in town for Christmas. Plenty room for them to run. Light switches took a minute to figure out. Overall it is a decent place to stay if you're not picky and understand you are in older place on a farm, without wifi or cable. It was not mentioned in the details, however it gives you time to get off the electronics and have a conversation or be outside. .

Not the best for the price
Hot/cold water in shower was dicey, transformer went out the last night and we had to leave, (never received refund for the night, tried to contact owner through messages and didn't hear back.) Lighing in cabin was a bit confusing and no locks on doors. Outside was awesome, but we were a little disappointed with the cabin. All in all not bad but cost more than other similar cabins we have stayed in. We weren't expecting luxury by no means, but some things should be a given. This trip was over 6 months ago, so there is a possibility that things have been improved. BTW, the people we met were very nice.
I was looking for a place my husband and I could recharge our batteries and a place for my dog to play off leash. This property was perfect. The kitchen, bathroom and sleeping loft were clean. There were a few bugs in the corners but it didn’t bother us. And as the owner stated it’s a cabin in the woods. The cell service was spotty.Which I didn’t mind one bit. The main level has several comfortable couches and the one recliner was absolute heaven to look out the picture window. Upper level has the beds. The one we slept in was comfy. Lower lever is the kitchen and bath. Spiral staircase connects the levels. The cabin is so unique and lovely. The light switches took a minute to figure out but it wasn’t rocket science. The gas heater was extremely efficient and kept the cabin toasty. The deck on the large pond was a really nice feature. I would absolutely stay here again.
The owner was super nice. me and my friends had a great time throwing a bachelor party out in the middle of nowhere honestly just loved the whole time.
We had a great time! We are not ones to return to a place on vacation, but we will be back! Not only did our children have a blast fishing, but our dog had a great time exploring also.
My family stayed at this beautiful cabin and grounds over Easter weekend. All enjoyed the grounds, fishing and unique cabin. The host was available and helpful. Beautiful property!!
