property is very clean and well kept it was also quiet which is what i enjoyed the most the only problem is my husband is tall and keep hitting his head if you are over 5ft 9 inches its not for you but overall stay i give it a 4 thanks guys .
I loved the place and its close proximity to the beach. My only complaint was that there was a family in the main house who had children that ran all throughout the house. It was kids being kids, but it was hard to find moments of relaxation during the day. Also, if you are taller than 6'1 then you will find yourself ducking the low ceiling of the apartment.
I fully believe that if there is a family in the main house that is mindful that there are people underneath them, the experience would be a beautiful.
We had a great time! The description of the apartment was accurate including the noisy upstairs neighbors and the low ceilings. The owner and manager were nice and very responsive to concerns we had. The biggest problem was the humidity. The towels were still wet when you went to take a shower the next day. The bathroom photo was deceiving. There was absolutely no place to put any hair or makeup items. Just a little table next to the sink would've been a big help. Also, no shelf or niche in the the nice, roomy shower. The location was excellent. We would definitely consider going back.
This is the perfect getaway location and place to stay for you and your friend and or partner. There was a nice parking place and the location was very close to everything I needed. The host/owner was extremely generous, the property manager welcomed me as soon as I arrived. The beach was very clean and all the neighbors are extremely friendly. I had an amazing time and have 0 complaints what so ever, thank you so much!
Lovely place and Sandy was great. Everything was clean and well kept. Comfortable sofa & beds! Will be back!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Misrepresented, Mice, Potentially Unsafe
Pros: The property had clearly been cleaned, and linens and towels were provided along with the dishes in the kitchen. Owner was very responsive when we checked in.
Cons: The dwelling is on the bottom floor. The entry leads directly outside with only an electronic combination lock on a standard door latch. There is no deadbolt nor alarm.
Bedroom: Low ceilings. One of us is under 5’8” and hit their head on it. Water damage in the corner of the room and a patched ceiling. The “queen” bed is in fact a full (54” wide). The futon mattress had no support. One of us slept on the couch by the door due to this and for security.
Bathroom: Picture is deceptive. The toilet bowl was very round and tiny to fit into a very cramped alcove. Didn’t use the shower.
Kitchen: The fridge, microwave and other appliances appear to use the same outlet. The microwave uses a two-pronged extension cord that’s not rated for it (most microwaves recommend against using one at all) and also connected to the coffee maker. The garbage disposal did not work.
The last straw was the mice. After the first night we found that mice got into a closed bag of food. There were droppings on the floor and countertop. Checking inside and outside, there were no attempts at pest control such as traps or poison bait.
We left that morning and got a hotel room with a kitchenette that was charging half the the price per night as this place. It came with an actual queen bed.
We met Sandy when we first arrived and she was so friendly and very easy to talk to. Everything was tidy and perfect inside, we really could not have asked for anything more .. and the location was PERFECT. It's a short walk to the beach, which was a very clean and quiet one, my kids loved every second.
We especially loved eating at "Wonder Bar" which is a perfect lunch spot right on the water. We would definitely stay at Sandy's place again if we head back out to New Jersey.
Very nice basement apartment. Has a nice sized living room with TV, couch and chairs and separate full kitchen with microwave, oven, fridge, and coffee maker, as well as small table for two. The bedroom is nice sized and has a door to close off from the other living area. Bathroom has a sink and shower. There is also a shared area to shower off from beach that also has an area for washing and drying your clothes outside of the apartment but attached to the house.
The apartment has two ac units that work well and run cool. The unit in the bedroom is quite loud and next to the bed if you are a light sleeper. Additionally if you are a light sleeper you can hear the above tenants walking around as well. Lastly if you are over 5'9 your head will hit the ceiling as they are quite low.
Overall it is a great place to stay, very clean and very close to the beach. The Tropicana in AC is about a six minute drive as well as the Wawa in Ventnor.
We loved our experience with this property. The location is perfect. It's far enough from the boadwalk that you get peace and quiet but close enough to everything should you want to venture out. The property has everything you'll need for a short getaway.. All you'll need to do is unpack and enjoy.
This was a stay for my family and most over 6ft. The ceilings were 6 foot lol so we had to adjust but overall it was a very clean stay we just sat more than stood :)

Americana... By the Sea was our family beach house for many years. We now live in the area full time and continue to maintain this house as if we still occupy it.
I am a retired school administrator who served in a suburban Philadelphia school district for many years. Upon retirement in 2009, my husband and I decided to make the Jersey Shore our permanent home – and never regretted the decision.
That same year, I created “Sandyland Properties” and I have been busy acquiring and renovating properties for rental ever since. Sandyland Properties specializes in making accommodations for those interested in short term stays in Atlantic City and has already earned high marks. Learn more about us and Sandyland Properties in the “Why This Property” section.
Why they chose this property
Welcome to Sandyland, where accommodations for short term stays in Atlantic City are our specialty.
The original home, Americana…By the Sea was purchased by us in 2003 and served as our family beach house for many years. It was a wonderful get-away from the hustle and bustle of city life in the Philadelphia area. Since 2009 we have opened this home as well as the Grand Belle…By the Sea, Delancy Place and 2 beautifully appointed apartments for guests from all over the world to enjoy. We still live in the area and continue to maintain the houses as if we occupy them ourselves!
We have had a lot of fun collecting bits of Atlantic City nostalgia throughout the years and it can be seen in each of these houses in unique and attractive ways. Original prints from the very early days of Atlantic City’s history can be seen throughout the homes. An original 1920’s Rolling Chair looks out at unbelievable Ocean and Boardwalk views and Miss America memorabilia are just some of the features that are found homes at Americana…By the Sea. The Grand Belle boasts an original Bathhouse from the turn of the Century which has been lovingly restored. Delancy Place, one of the more recently built homes (1920), is a favorite for Bachelor and Bachelorette parties with a large regulation size pool table and a Speakeasy feel that cannot be denied!
Our guests at these beautifully restored homes are truly treated as "guests in our own home". As we did for so many years, we want them to also enjoy the beauty and tranquility of our southern New Jersey beaches and the many entertainment opportunities that Atlantic City has to offer. This is just one of the many reasons for the existence of Sandyland. Come “Down to the Shore” and join us!
