Perfect location, unacceptably poor wifi, spartan amenities

This property gets 5 stars for location. However it gets 1 star for everything else. The wifi was completely unacceptable. It was extremely slow and kept dropping out. It is too slow to even read emails on. It improved for 2 hours when I complained then went slow again. The room is big and a nice space with lots of light. But the amenity is the most basic IKEA standard - there is not even a wardrobe or shelves, just a hanging rack. There is no comfortable chair. The table is so small that it accommodates a laptop and not much more. There is a balcony but the instructions warn that it shouldn’t be used because it isn’t safe. The mirror in the bathroom is located at such a high level many women would not be tall enough to use it. Also the lift stops working if the door is not closed properly on another floor so I had to climb 90 steps. If location is the most important and the other things don’t matter, then it’s a good choice. But I have never experienced such poor wifi in a rental and I wouldn’t stay here again unless they fixed it properly.

Could not talk to property manager, internet not stable

When we arrived we didn’t know what apartment number it was because the property manager, Smartflats, did not provide the information. Tried to contact property manager but phone would ring and then go busy. Internet not stable. You could log on but it would knock you off a minute later. Not a good experience.

Great Place, Great Location

This rental made us want to come back to Brussels for a longer visit! Located in the heart of it all near the Grand Place and close to the train station. It was spacious, clean and would be a nice spot for a quick weekend or weeks. We were surprised and happy with the apartment.

Appartement idéalement situé, à coté de la grand place, et à 5 mn à pied du Tram. Très propre et très bien équipé. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.

Good location and space but horrible contact with property manger

The location is perfect. The apartment is spacious but they do not provide adequate essentials and property manager is extremely hard to get a hold of. They only gave us two towels and two pillows and we were staying there 4 nights. If you want more towels, you will be charged 7 euro per towel. We tried to contact the property manager multiple times to try to order more towels but no one ever responded.

About a flat in Brussels.

We found our stay in Brussels to be a mixed combination of pleasure and annoyance. The room was great but the weather was hot. There was no air- conditioning so the afternoons and nights were uncomfortable. That said, our room was a nice haven to retreat to after doing the tourist thing. We also suffered, the airlines having misplaced our bags for four days so a full day was dedicated to resolving that problem. Thankfully, the staff at the Smartflats Lounge was available and offered help communicating with the airlines.

schöne wohnung in toller lage

die wohnung ist genau, wie auf den fotos zu sehen. man bekommt einen code für die eingangstür und wohnungstür, den man immer eingeben muß. also keine türschlüssel, was einerseits sehr praktisch ist. andererseits muß man immer eine sehr lange kombination aus zahlen eingeben... ich würde in der wohnung auf jeden wall wieder wohnen. die lage ist toll und die ausstattung sehr schön. was etwas selsam war: wir hatten nur eine große bettdecke, was ja oft üblich ist. eine zweite decke sollte für 10 euro aufpreis erhältlich sein. doch da sie voll ausgebucht waren, war es dann nicht mehr möglich eine zweite decke zu bekommen. hätte nicht gedacht, das man bei so vielen apartments gar keine extra decken im lager hat.

Awesome location, well equipped and beautiful apartment

My husband and I spent 3 lovely days at this apartment. The location is simply awesome with an amazing view of the main square and very close to the central station. We simply loved our stay and will definitely visit again! Thank you so much Smartflats for your hospitality.

Apartamento agradable en magnífica localización

El lugar es muy agradable y céntrico. Tranquilo, y con lo necesario para pasar unos días. Nuestro único problema fue que no funcionaba la tele y a partír del segundo día el wifi se debilitó hasta desaparecer del todo Como la atención es exclusivamente por teléfono o internet, no pudimos solventarlo. Sin embargo, cocina y baño, nuevísimos e impecables.
