Beautiful Lake House Perfect Peaceful Country Getaway

Looking for a peaceful getaway? You’ve found it with this tranquil home on Lake Sinissippi. Lake Sinissippi is a 3000 acre lake that is home to a variety of wildlife. For as large as the lake is, it is not crowded and is the perfect getaway for those that love lake life and hate crowds. The lake is a shallow lake and is perfect for swimming, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and relaxing. The house faces east, allowing early birds an amazing sunrise over the lake. The lake is approximately 3’ deep at the end of our pier, so no diving but it’s perfect to cool off and perfect for kids. The bottom is a sandy bottom but does get mucky when you explore further away from our pier.

Our house is at the southern end of Butternut Island. There are no sidewalks, it is a quiet, dead end street and has amazing, friendly neighbors. Our house has been updated and well maintained over the years. We just completed a large kitchen renovation! Lots of room for several cooks to be in the kitchen while you have several seats at the breakfast bar asking for when it is dinner time! It is the perfect house to host a group. The kitchen table holds 10 and is the perfect place to enjoy a meal or play games. We have all sorts of games to choose from that range from Chutes and Ladders to Cards Against Humanity. There is a large front room with vaulted ceilings and comfortable couches with a flat screen TV (with Fire TV Stick on both TV's and WiFi,) There are 5 bedrooms that have closets, dressers and new (within the last 2 years) comforters. There are 2 full bathrooms and one half bath and all have been updated within the last 5 years.

There is a sunroom on the back of the house that allows for a full view of the lake. There is a flat screen TV, table, chairs and couch in there to relax. It is also the perfect place for a mid afternoon nap. On one side of the sunroom is a brick patio with gas grill and patio furniture, so you can grill dinner and enjoy some cocktails. On the other side of the sunroom is an attached deck with a table and chairs that can seat 6. Eat al fresco or just sit back and enjoy the lake.

Our yard is spacious and allows an open place to enjoy some outdoor games. There is a concrete patio right next to the lake with lounge chairs and swing. It is the perfect spot to enjoy a book or supervise swimmers. At night, build a fire in the fire pit and enjoy!

Additional amenities include: kayak, canoe, paddle board, life vests (with child sizes), bags, bocce, football, frisbee, metal fire pit, cards, board games, pinball machine, high chair, pack n play, washer and dryer, 2 full size refrigerators, gas grill, Keurig and 5 gallon water dispenser that can be for hot or cold water.

This is the perfect getaway for a family or for anyone looking to relax, unplug and enjoy a quiet peaceful lake house. Come experience this little piece of heaven for yourself.

Fantastic summer family reunion

This property was absolutely perfect for our 3-generation family to gather for a long-awaited reunion after COVID. The house was so comfortable and clean and we could spread out and enjoy our time together. The house has a particularly great kitchen and table for a family group. We had wonderful meals together and enjoyed our time on lovely Lake Sinissippi. Thank you for the memories! We'd love to come again!

A nice large get-away home on natural Lake Sinnissippi.

The property was well maintained with roomy common areas that included a large well furnished kitchen, a sun room and patios. The yard between the house and the lake provided ample space for lawn games. Having access to a floating "lily pad" on this shallow quiet lake provided hours of entertainment for our family.

The home has everything you could ask for. We have visited Lake Sinnissippi twice. This area of the lake and this property were perfect for our needs. quiet peaceful. Lots of parking off street. Good swimming . Level lot which is great for our 92 year old family member. House has a very good use of space and is very comfortable.

Family reunion

This roomy house is situated in a lovely, small neighborhood on Lake Sinissippi. The large back yard is directly on the water and had a great seating area with a large umbrella for shade. We spent hours out there talking, playing, and enjoying the lake views and breezes. The dock with stairs gave easy access to the water. We used the canoe and kayak, too. The house is well supplied with everything you could need for your stay. The configuration of the five bedrooms plus couches gave plenty of sleeping options and everyone commented on the comfortable beds; the three-season room got lots of use. The air conditioning worked great and we were able to open windows on cool nights. Many of the rooms also had ceiling fans. In the area, we enjoyed riding bikes, visiting Horicon Marsh, seeing a movie in a theater, and trying different good restaurants. It was a great stay for all, from 2 1/2 to 73!

Lack of Sleep

The property, the management, the neighbors and the lake were all fantastic. The only negative we found was the bed on the main floor. It is listed as queen size, which it is not, and is the most uncomfortable bed I have slept on in years. Not as restful a vacation as I would have liked. Also, quite a long list of "things to do" before we left. I thought that was what the cleaning fee was for.

Such attention to detail

We make a family trip each year in a different home and Rosa and David are probably the most attentive owners we have ever worked with. Rosa called us a month before our reservation to let us know what precautions they were taking during the pandemic. Their home was immaculate! Then Rosa called about a week before our stay to give us some information about the home. Check-in was very easy. They left a "welcome" binder with our names on it and a basket of goodies! They even left us disposable masks, hand sanitizer and Clorox wipes. There were instructions everywhere, making us feel so at home. The home is gorgeous and our kids had a blast playing in the lake. When it rained, they LOVED the pinball machine. We loved everything about our stay!

Great vacation space

This property was a great place to have a family get-together after being apart for so long. The size allowed us to be together but also take some time off to be by ourselves if we wanted. The screened porch was delightful. Everything was extremely clean and well stocked. The cooks in our group were pleasantly surprised and impressed by the well supplied kitchen. Rosa was very, very helpful including letting us know of a local festival that included fireworks we could see across the lake from the property. She was quick to answer questions we had. The yard was large and level which made taking a trek to the lake easy, even for someone was using a walker. There was plenty to do with the games, puzzles and water equipment. The pinball machine was a big hit. The only surprise we had was that the room with the king size bed was not an enclosed bedroom. It was an open loft area that worked for our family but may not if someone wanted 5 separate bedrooms. The other bedrooms were on the small size but we spent so little time in them it didn't matter that much. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The baths were very good with a walk-in shower available on the 1st floor. The water pressure was great! Our family really enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend this property.

Clean, Well-Stocked and FUN!

This property was a great solution for our 4-generation family of 10 to enjoy a week together after our pandemic separation. With ages ranging from 2 to 90, the home was the perfect size to allow us to both spread out and enjoy our together times. We loved the large kitchen with room for multiple cooks and the table where we were all able to enjoy meals together. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen that had everything we needed. The weather didn't cooperate as we had hoped, but on the days we were able to get on the water, there was a nice variety of watercraft and swim toys to enjoy. We especially appreciated the opportunity to try out the lily pad! We loved being able to circle Butternut Island with the canoe, kayak and paddleboard. It was just the right amount of distance. We took advantage of a couple of cold and/or rainy days to visit the EEA Museum in OshKosh and the Wisconsin Auto Museum in Hartford. There were many experience options within an hours drive, so it was difficult to make a choice. Rosa's communications made us feel welcome and she went out of her way to provide tricycles for our little guys, which were a hit! Expectations were simple, clear and easy to follow. The house was clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

Perfect Stay!

We LOVED our stay at Rosa and David's lake house. Rosa and David were were quick to respond to all of our questions prior to arrival. We had a total of 8 adults and 2 children stay there. The place was very spacious and clean. The kitchen was recently remodeled and was well stocked, which made cooking easy for us. They provided water toys and life jackets for us to use in the water. They also provided us with a high chair and a pack and play for our little one. Our family spent most of our time outside or in the sun room, and the pinball machine was a nice perk. This property is so beautiful and we had an amazing time here. This lake house is highly recommended!
