We are a family of five living in Wilmington and loving our beautiful city! Natalie began her career in hospitality management at The St. Regis Hotel in NYC and has a strong commitment to guest comfort and satisfaction. By purchasing the B&B, we fulfilled a life long dream.
Natalie purchased this House in 2003
Why Natalie chose Wilmington
We purchased this home after falling in love with it while staying as guests in the Bed and Breakfast. We were expecting our first child at the time, and moving to Wilmington, and this house felt like home from the first moment we entered it. The large, brightly lit rooms were filled with promise for a beautiful life with our growing family. As time went on we welcomed three children into our family while living in this home, and that has been the most important and exciting time of our lives. We now have the opportunity to share Magnolia House with others that want to experience the beauty and history of Wilmington and Carolina Heights.
What makes this House unique
Our house has so many special qualities that are a joy to see. What makes it special to us is its history and the architectural beauty. The front door alone is a beauty and is unlike any other front door in the city. The traditional 1920s colonial style with arches, intricate carvings in the fireplace mantles, beautiful tile in the bathroom, light sconces with beautiful original glass , and the high ceilings are not what you would find in any new construction. Wilmington is also a special destination, rich in history and culture, and it is our pleasure to share it with you.

Eleven of us stayed for our daughter's UNCW graduation. We had a great time! It's an old house...you have to look over cosmetic and paint issues, share bathrooms, and embrace creaky floors; but we like that. The floorplans flow from room to room which is different from how old houses are usually chopped up. The rooms are spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped and the two refrigerators were super convenient. The puzzles, games, and Xbox were all enjoyed. It was a perfect weekend!
Perfect location for a Wilmington Wedding
Magnolia House was an ideal location for our family when we were in Wilmington last week for my son's wedding. When we arrived there were fresh flowers, fruit and danish to welcome us. We were 5+ minutes from the church, reception and the hotels were our guests stayed. The house slept all 13 of us and the kids were thrilled with the assorted video games.
The backyard was a perfect venue for our rehearsal dinner - easy to decorate with twinkling lights in the trees and tables set up for serving and guests. We couldn't have managed without the chest freezer and extra refrigerator since we were storing all the bridal bouquets, lots of drinks, etc.
Magnolia House is almost 100 years old so not all of the doors close all the way, some faucets and light switches don't work , etc but its size and location are great .
Katie was terrific - very quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had!
Perfect house for my family to stay in during me and my wife’s wedding week. The location was absolutely perfect as it was close to downtown and our wedding venue. The home was beautiful and Katie was extremely helpful during our stay. I would highly recommend the Magnolia House to anyone looking to stay in Wilmington with a large family.
Beautiful house, everything we wanted and more!
This was beautiful home in the perfect location! It was perfect for our group!
spread out and relax
It's an older home but that is part of the charm, it reminded us of our childhood homes.
We celebrated our Mothers 90th birthday and it was an ideal open space for a gathering of 40 people.
The kitchen is large and the extra fridge was helpful for all the good we prepared on premesis.
A unique rental option in walking distance of the historic district, we didn't see anything else like it
