Third time we have stayed and great as always
Lovely chalet and appointed with high quality fixtures and fittings. Location allows for excellent views of the Eiger and valley. Always our first choice place to stay in grindelwald.
Beautiful Place to Stay
The owner provided great instructions and everything went smoothly. The chalet was beautiful with great views of all the mountains and surrounding country side. I would love to return.
A great experience in a beautiful and very well equipped Chalet
We had a great vacation in Chalet M in Grindelwald.
The Chalet is beautiful and very well equipped for 10-12 people and the views are magnificent.
The owner, Nathan, was very cooperative and responsive for every need we had.
Bottom line - i strongly recommend this property for a great and relaxing vacation.
We had an amazing time at Chalet M! The location is absolutely spectacular!! From the view out the window, to the spacious comfort inside to the tinkling cowbells on the hill you will never forget you are in Switzerland!! The chalet was well equipped in terms of kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms and beautifully furnished. Nathan, the owner was also very helpful with any questions prior to the trip. I would recommend Chalet M to anyone who is looking for a stay in Switzerland!
Superb situation and wonderful property
Very clean, spacious and well equipped property - enjoyed by our party of 11, with ages ranging from 6 to 74. It never felt crowded or cramped with that number of people. The three children, after a hard day's walking, particularly enjoyed the spacious mezzanine room with the large TV and huge sofa to sprawl on. The bedrooms were spacious and the huge beds extremely comfortable - all rooms having views of the mountains was a special bonus. We constantly went out on the balconies from all rooms to check that the view was still there, and not just a figment of our imaginations! Easy access by foot to Grund railway station and cable car, and to Grindelwald centre, so there's hardly a need to use the car once you get there. Would heartily recommend it!
Property is amazing. views breath taking.
My father was Swiss so I wanted to give my family a vacation in the Swiss alps. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 3 children. Fabulous view of a the mountains and located near many exciting attractions. Owner had a crib and high chair for the 20 month old. Large well equipped kitchen. Owner was very responsive to some minor issues we had. I hope we can go back again some day.
The picturesque village of Grindelwald, and its neighbours, Wengen and Murren, come closer to the fairytale image of an alpine ski idyll than perhaps anywhere else in Europe. With extensive skiing, quaint cog railways or rustic ambience as well as the imposing north faces of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau that make this region so memorable, whether you’re there to ski or just to soak up the atmosphere. Few Alpine landscapes can have attracted as much attention from mountaineers and spectators as the legendary backdrop to this most traditional ski area. Its secret lies not just in the brooding north walls of the famous trio, the Monch, Eiger and Jungfrau but in the access afforded to non-climbers. Ascending by a train tunneled deep into the heart of the Eiger, they emerge at 3,545m on the edge of the Aletsch glacier - the biggest glacier in the Alps and the source of the river Rhone. There are stupendous views across the 4,000m peaks of the Bernese Oberland and north across the Swiss plains to Germany.Back at valley level, it's also the view that will dominate your day, and the skiing's good too. Trains carry skiers, as well as tourists, to the Kleine Scheidegg - a high point between Grindelwald and Wengen. Of the more conventional uplift, Grindelwald has Europe's longest gondola. The First (pronounced as in 'fierce') area behind Grindelwald village, has extensive and varied skiing on sunny south-facing slopes. In the Summer and Fall, there is beautiful hiking and mountain biking options. So this is really a year-round destination.
