About Cindy Meyer
.My husband and I purchased our cabin in 2007 after renting it a couple of times ourselves. The view was breathtaking which led us to our vision of building our dream vacation home. We demolished the entire home except the foundation and begin the design. We currently reside in New Haven, Mo. however after 39 years of marriage, my husband grew to love the Smoky Mountains. The name Four Bears Hideaway is named after our four children. (Pictured above). In 2016 our cabin was one of the 1700 structures that was destroyed in the wild fires, Our hearts were broken, but the memories we shared in family holidays, weddings and reunions will forever be cherished. I lost my husband suddenly in December 2018 before he could see the new cabin completed. However each room and vision he had will forever be displayed in his memory. Our cabin is family owned and operated. Our goal is to share our home, so you can have as many memories as we have had throughout the years. And share the beauty of the mountains.

Why Cindy Meyer chose Gatlinburg
I lived in Tennessee my whole life until moving to Missouri. I can honestly say I've stayed in many areas and visited many places and by far this is the best view around. There are no words to express the view of this property. We have been told by many vendors, guests and neighbors that are view is worth a million dollars. Our cabin is located far enough away to enjoy the peace of the smoky's and yet close enough to all the attractions.
What makes this Cabin unique
Two extra large decks for enjoying the views the bottom deck is waterproof so you can still enjoy being outdoors due to weather conditions. We also have another deck with a large 8 person hot tub overlooking downtown Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. We have a game room and a card room to entertain the children along with a lot of other entertainment as well. We have 7 grandchildren ourselves so we chose everything to accommodate all age groups. Each room inside the cabin has a view of the mountain scenery.

Best cabin in the smokies
We had a great stay at the cabin. The owner was very easy to work with and we had everything that we needed for our vacation at the cabin (except for a hair dryer. Or maybe we just didn't find it). The views from the decks are GORGEOUS and the decor is very cute and appropriately themed. Cabin was clean and welcoming, beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked, decks had plenty of furniture (rocking chairs, dining tables and chairs, swing). It was very comfortable for our group of 8.
It is pretty close to downtown Gatlinburg. The last few minutes of the drive up to the cabin is quite narrow and winding but better than I expected.
Great cabin that really added to our Smoky Mountain experience!!!
This cabin was gorgeous. It's very cozy and extremely clean. We loved our stay wished we could have stayed longer. It is as well equipped just as everyone stated. We took a large soup pot just in case there wasn't one and there were two already there. We didn't need anything for the kitchen that wasn't provided. The views are spectacular even on cloudy days. I'm sure it would be breathtaking in the fall. This cabin is literally on top of the mountain. It is a steep drive but the view is worth it.
Wonderful cabin in Smokey Mountains
This was our second trip to Cindy and Doug`s cabin this year. In both trips we had so much fun. The view is breathtaking. We have not seen anything comparable. You are very high up in the mountains. In our first visit we were visited by 3 bears at night and in the morning. You have everything you need in the cabin. It is extremely well decorated and cozy. Kitchen is well-equipped for all cooking needs for a large group. Kids had a lot of fun at downstairs watching movies on large screen TV (includes surround sound), and playing with air hockey, pool and foosball tables. There is plenty of space for adults to sit comfortably upstairs and enjoy the view. Both decks (lower level and entry level) overlook the breathtaking views of the Smokey Mountains and they are very large. It was great to grill and dine outdoors. The cabin is an absolutely wonderful place to stay and relax; and is very close to Gatlinburg. Last but not least Cindy is an excellent person to work with.
Heaven On Earth!
The view from this cabin is breathtaking! The cabin was lovely, clean and stocked with anything you would ever need. Cindy was wonderful to work with. There were 12 of us that stayed and we all agreed it was one of the best, and some said it was THE BEST, place we have ever stayed. There were so many things to see and do in Gatlinburg, but I have
to honestly say that I was perfectly content sitting on the gorgeous deck and drinking coffee every morning. It was so beautiful and peaceful. Cindy suggested we watch the sun come up over the mountains .... Which We did and what a beautiful sight it was! I am looking forward to booking this wonderful cabin again. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Gatlinburg area.
Thanks again Cindy & Doug!
Best vacation cabin we have ever stayed at!
We had a group of six, and had an absolutely wonderful time at this cabin! It was very well stocked for all cooking you could need to do for a large group. The home was very clean, yet homey at the same time! By far, the best part about this cabin was the panoramic view of the Smokeys! I have never seen a view so stunning! The house is ten minutes (or less depending on traffic) from Gatlinburg, and is easily accessed from the main road!
Although the road was very curvy, we never hit a tight spot, and we came and went a good many times. Also saw a mom and two bear cubs one evening coming back from dinner! We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Gatlinburg!
