About Cristina Ladas

I currently reside in Phoenix with my husband and 3 great kids... but love escaping to our cabin in Flagstaff. As our kids have grown up, we have less and less time to make it up there so we have decided to let others enjoy it while we can't.

I work in Cave Creek School District as the world language coordinator and grant director. I also freelance as a grant writer and external evaluator. I love languages and traveling!

Cristina Ladas purchased this cabin in 2001

Why Cristina Ladas chose Fort Valley Estates

In a mere 2 hour drive north from sunny Phoenix, we can be sipping hot chocolate on our cabin deck listening to the pine trees sway in the cool breeze. In winter, if it's raining here, it's probably snowing at the cabin! Quick, get in the car and grab the sleds!

What makes this cabin unique

There are not many authentic log cabins in Flagstaff...much less, ones that sit on 2.5 acres and border the national forest. At slightly higher elevation than downtown Flagstaff, the cabin is just a bit cooler in summer and snowier in winter. It's just before you hit the turnoff for Snow Bowl Ski Resort. Since it's on the north side of Flagstaff, it's a perfect spot for exploring northern AZ (Canyon is only 72 miles away)!

Great Location - Great Large Cabin - Great Owner

  • 5 of 5

Spent 3 nights at this remote cabin that is close to town. Views are stunning, the cabin is beautiful and well decorated and outfitted. Spent most days just relaxing on one of the decks. Watched the deer walk by, the squirrels jump between trees and the stunning San Francisco Peaks. There was no ESPN service on the satellite to watch Monday Night Football, but, they have Internet service and was able to stream it to the TV! Supper entertainment system!

The cabin is on the top fo a rather large tree covered hill with 360-degree views.

We had a great relaxing time listening to the wind blow through the trees every day.

Thank you Cristina for letting us rent your awesome cabin!

Great place for summertime fun

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for a great week in the summer. Easy drive to Grand Canyon and other national parks. Only 15 minutes to downtown Flagstaff.

Very isolated and private, with lots of nearby wildlife and hiking.

This place couldn’t have been better! Exactly as advertised: beautiful log cabin, amazing views of Snowbowl, secluded and private, access to tons of hiking trails, and just minutes from Downtown Flagstaff. Perfect for our family’s summer vacation!

The owner was super friendly, immediately responsive, informative, and very accommodating.

We DEFINITELY recommend this place and want to stay here again next time!

Amazing location, clean and comfortable, stocked with everything you need.

  • 5 of 5

This was a family trip to North AZ and the Grand Canyon. The house is amazingly isolated yet close to The Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Winslow. The views are amazing as is the peace and quiet . Overall an amazing three night stay. We will stay longer next time. Bring comfortable shoes because hiking through the forest is a must.

A Wonderful Property!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is uniquely nestled in the woods but with incredible views of the adjacent mountains and forest.

Cristina has done a wonderful job of making sure you have all of the amenities you need and then some. She discreetly checked in with us after the first day to make sure everything was ok, which it was. Everything in the cabin worked flawlessly for our entire stay.

We spent a week there and could have spent two or more. It truly felt like home. Our kids 7 and 9 had a great time with no shortage of activities including the tree house, movies, games, etc etc.

We will be returning as soon as we can providing it's not completely booked up :)

Thanks Cristina!
