About Cristina Ladas
I currently reside in Phoenix with my husband and 3 great kids... but love escaping to our cabin in Flagstaff. As our kids have grown up, we have less and less time to make it up there so we have decided to let others enjoy it while we can't. I work in Cave Creek School District as the world language coordinator and grant director. I also freelance as a grant writer and external evaluator. I love languages and traveling!
Cristina Ladas purchased this Cabin in 2001
Why Cristina Ladas chose Fort Valley Estates
In a mere 2 hour drive north from sunny Phoenix, we can be sipping hot chocolate on our cabin deck listening to the pine trees sway in the cool breeze. In winter, if it's raining here, it's probably snowing at the cabin! Quick, get in the car and grab the sleds!
What makes this Cabin unique
There are not many authentic log cabins in Flagstaff...much less, ones that sit on 2.5 acres and border the national forest. At slightly higher elevation than downtown Flagstaff, the cabin is just a bit cooler in summer and snowier in winter. It's just before you hit the turnoff for Snow Bowl Ski Resort. Since it's on the north side of Flagstaff, it's a perfect spot for exploring northern AZ (Canyon is only 72 miles away)!

Amazing location, clean and comfortable, stocked with everything you need.
This was a family trip to North AZ and the Grand Canyon. The house is amazingly isolated yet close to The Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Winslow. The views are amazing as is the peace and quiet . Overall an amazing three night stay. We will stay longer next time. Bring comfortable shoes because hiking through the forest is a must.
Thanks for the kind words! So glad you found the “magic” in that place! Thanks for taking care of it as if it were your own! Welcome back anytime!
A Wonderful Property!
The cabin is uniquely nestled in the woods but with incredible views of the adjacent mountains and forest.
Cristina has done a wonderful job of making sure you have all of the amenities you need and then some. She discreetly checked in with us after the first day to make sure everything was ok, which it was. Everything in the cabin worked flawlessly for our entire stay.
We spent a week there and could have spent two or more. It truly felt like home. Our kids 7 and 9 had a great time with no shortage of activities including the tree house, movies, games, etc etc.
We will be returning as soon as we can providing it's not completely booked up :)
Thanks Jeb for the feedback. Always helpful to know your perspective and where to improve. Come back anytime!
The log cabin was perfect for our family vacation to check out Arizona.
Everything was exactly as described and as we expected. The log cabin was perfect for our family of four, with all the comforts of home yet tucked away on a quiet mountain setting. Flagstaff was also a great central location for hitting Sedona, the Grand Canyon and the Lake Powell attractions up in Page, AZ. We had no problems or issues that needed addressed, and Cristina was very responsive with the few questions we had prior to the trip. Thank you!
Thanks! We try out best to make your stay one to remember!
Great location. Outdoor heaven, but close to town.
Cristina was a great host. Great communication and place was as good as advertised. Had everything we needed plus some. Would definitely stay again.
Stunning house and views. Relaxation at its best.
We have been to the cabin many times over the years and always find it a pleasure to work with Cristina. The property feels good. It's cozy but spacious. The views are insane and the fact that it's off the beaten path is exactly what we look for. With that said, it's also a super jumping off point for local sightseeing. Highly recommended.
Will be a family tradition for us! Great cabin!
We’ll appointed cabin has crock pot all utensils, well cared for! Tree house is fun for kids, easy drive into town, or the lava caves, snow bowl, etc. working with the owner was very pleasant and easy. A local neighbor saw our kids playing and brought us by some home-made soaps in a little gift bag, just to say hi. Highly recommend!
Thanks for the kind words and for taking good care of our special place! Come again soon!
3 min. beyond cabin turnoff is Snow Bowl ski resort road. Day trips include The Grand Canyon, Sedona, Lowell Observatory, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Native American Ruins and hikes galore!
