I currently reside in Phoenix with my husband and 3 great kids... but love escaping to our cabin in Flagstaff. With 3 kids (ages 7, 9, 11) we have less and less time to make it up there so we have decided to let others enjoy it while we can't.
I work in Cave Creek School District as the foreign language coordinator and grant director. I also freelance as a grant writer and external evaluator. I love languages and traveling!
Cristina Ladas purchased this cabin in 2001
In a mere 2 hour drive north from sunny Phoenix, we can be sipping hot chocolate on our cabin deck listening to the pine trees sway in the cool breeze. In winter, if it's raining here, it's probably snowing at the cabin! Quick, get in the car and grab the sleds!
There are not many authentic log cabins in Flagstaff...much less, ones that sit on 2.5 acres and border the national forest. At slightly higher elevation than downtown Flagstaff, the cabin is just a bit cooler in summer and snowier in winter. It's just before you hit the turnoff for Snow Bowl Ski Resort. Since it's on the north side of Flagstaff, it's a perfect spot for exploring northern AZ (Canyon is only 72 miles away)!
We absolutely love this property! Secluded, cozy, well-stocked & maintained, beautiful views. Can't say enough great things about it. We refuse to stay anywhere else when we come to Flagstaff!
What a wonderful stay we had at your beautiful cabin. Everything was perfect. Location is great. Close enough to town but far enough away to enjoy daily hikes and the forest.
The cabin is very clean and comfortable. Loved the decks surrounding the house. We Spent many hours in the morning there for tea and coffee and the early evenings for wine and beer. It was a perfect getaway for the two of us. Thank you.
So often you see the pictures and you get there and you find out the pictures are the best part. In this case, it really is as nice as it looks and the views from the cabin are excellent. The owners did a great job having the cabin well outfitted. There was nothing really lacking from our perspective. The location was about 15 minutes from Flagstaff, 1 ½ hours from the Grand Canyon and about an hour from Sedona. The cabin is at a pretty high altitude so just be thinking about that if you have had any problems with that in the past. We are from zero elevation so it took a couple of days for a few in our party to adjust. We are looking forward to going back in the future!
We had a great experience at the Hidden Hollow Log Cabin! It was a beautiful weekend celebrating a graduation at NAU and coming back to the cabin outside of the busy town to a quiet and serene setting! Everything was top notch, the home was spotless. Everything we needed and used were at the cabin inc. kitchen utensils, pans, bathroom toiletries and even movies. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the back patio had breathtaking views of the mountain peaks inc. a slight bit of snow while we enjoyed 70+ degree weather! The owner was accommodating and helpful and I would suggest having the phone app it has a lot of helpful info. about the house, area, local restaurants, etc. Thanks for a great experience, we will definitely be back!

Killer location. Close to downtown and snowbowl. Loved the seclusion, size, and beauty of the cabin and surrounding area. It was clean, thoughtful, and there was a lot of love in that home!
3 min. beyond cabin turnoff is Snow Bowl ski resort road. Day trips include The Grand Canyon, Sedona, Lowell Observatory, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Native American Ruins and hikes galore!
