About Cristina Ladas
I currently reside in Phoenix with my husband and 3 great kids... but love escaping to our cabin in Flagstaff. As our kids have grown up, we have less and less time to make it up there so we have decided to let others enjoy it while we can't. I work in Cave Creek School District as the world language coordinator and grant director. I also freelance as a grant writer and external evaluator. I love languages and traveling!
Cristina Ladas purchased this Cabin in 2001
Why Cristina Ladas chose Fort Valley Estates
In a mere 2 hour drive north from sunny Phoenix, we can be sipping hot chocolate on our cabin deck listening to the pine trees sway in the cool breeze. In winter, if it's raining here, it's probably snowing at the cabin! Quick, get in the car and grab the sleds!
What makes this Cabin unique
There are not many authentic log cabins in Flagstaff...much less, ones that sit on 2.5 acres and border the national forest. At slightly higher elevation than downtown Flagstaff, the cabin is just a bit cooler in summer and snowier in winter. It's just before you hit the turnoff for Snow Bowl Ski Resort. Since it's on the north side of Flagstaff, it's a perfect spot for exploring northern AZ (Canyon is only 72 miles away)!

We stayed here in mid February, it was beautiful. The log cabin and surroundings are really breathtaking. The cabin is very accommodating to families. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, there are board games and toys for the kids. The location is great too. Short drive into town and close to the snow bowl. We had a wonderful time. And will likely book here again for another visit.
Beautiful log cabin
We enjoyed this beautiful cabin over a long weekend. My parents joined us and we were all very comfortable. We made many family memories over delicious meals and family game nights. The property is private and peaceful.
Cabin was so cozy and well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back again!
What an awesome place to stay. Everything is there and equipped. Beautiful location.
Perfect cabin vacation
I loved everything about this cabin! Well equipped. Cristina had everything you can think of for a stay in a cabin. My family and I had the perfect Christmas there. Can’t wait to go back!
Cabin was beautiful. Owner was great and very proactive in communication with us. Cabin was clean, and beautiful. Only downside was the hill was very steep leading up to it, which we were informed of on booking. Luckily it was well plowed prior to us arriving, but in poor weather conditions would have been impossible without chains and four wheel drive. Also, the DVD's players were old and quirky, and took multiple complicated steps and multiple remotes to use any media. There were detailed specific instructions available. This was mostly a problem because we have small children, and the weather was too cold outdoors for them to be out. Otherwise, everything was amazing.
Thanks Brooke for a thoughtful, honest review! I'm glad you enjoyed it and also recognized that I do try to prepare everyone for that driveway!
3 min. beyond cabin turnoff is Snow Bowl ski resort road. Day trips include The Grand Canyon, Sedona, Lowell Observatory, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Native American Ruins and hikes galore!
