Great location and view
Great location and great view from top floor of Waikiki Banyan. Property is a little dated and missing a few things, like hand soap and shower soap. Lots of appliances for cooking, cocktails, and coffee, so we were set! Would stay here again.
Great view and location but management issues
We’re not prima donnas and do not seek out problems, but we have complaints about our stay. The condo was clean, the neighborhood as expected, and the view beautiful. We enjoyed the lanai. The kitchen was equipped only minimally, but was sufficient for rudimentary food prep.<br />
Our complaint comes from an aggregation of issues and the management’s response. The provided wifi name and password were incorrect. The electrical socket in the bathroom did not work and would not reset. Although we were expected to wash our cups, there was no dishrag. There was no soap for washing hands, so we used the body wash, which was watery and gushed out when the bottle was tipped. We lacked blankets: the master bed had only a decorative half-blanket across the bottom of the bed and although we reserved the place based on an occupancy of four, the pullout bed had no blanket at all. <br />
We arrived late in the evening. When I called the management company in the morning, I discovered it is located in Portland, Oregon. The local management team did return my call within an hour, supplied the correct wifi information, and told me they would find supplies for us. But we never heard from them again. I haven’t even mentioned the less than proactive response to hearing about the wallet we found in the condominium.

Great view great location
Perfect location being not too far from everything but far enough so it’s more relaxing. Apartment in good condition with plenty of supplies to make you comfortable. View to die for! <br />
The only draw back is reception isn’t very helpful when you say what room you’re in because it’s private and not through them. <br />
Overall great apartment and we will certainly be back.
Great view. Nice place that suited us perfectly. The place is a little dated which didn’t bother us at all.
I tried to find another place to stay the first couple of hours I was there.
This could be a really nice vacation rental but the neither the owners or the management company have any interest. Upon arriving the place was filthy with stains and dried substances in the tub/shower and dust everywhere. They have turned off the cable and only one TV has Roku, which is worthless since they have the cheapest DSL possible at <5Mbs, which is impossible for streaming. Everything in the apartment is cheap and old. The white refrigerator with rust stains on the side looks like it was picked up off the side of the street. There IS a laundry room on the floor but it only has one washer and one dryer which as inoperable the 5 days I was there. The property manager not only isn't good with the cleaning but it's impossible to get ahold of a local person and the corporate response is only "We'll have a local supervisor contact you.", which they don't. I've had many experiences with home shares and very few disappointments but this place is definitely the worst that I've stayed in.

Good, but can be made even better - would use it again
The condo was as described. Good location, close to Kapahulu Ave. so easy access w/o having to travel the full length of Waikiki to get in or out. Well outfitted and clean. Nice view even if parts of it are blocked by other buildings- it was great to have a lanai on the 38th floor. Parking was a plus but beware it is tight- a small car is best. For some reason there was an entry card left there- I don't think it belongs to the unit. You get into the condo via an access code on the door. To get from the parking garage to the interior of the building you need a key that is in the condo waiting for you. The door is unlocked during the day but locked at night. So, if you first arrive at night, you'll have to walk down the stairs to get to he lobby and then retrieve the key latter. Laundry room at the end of the hall was great (quiet hours are after 10PM. Here is what could be better. 1) There is a foam mattress rolled up and hidden behind the couch. I can't think that anyone would use it and it just takes up valuable space. Get rid of it. 2) The bar stools at the kitchen island are much too high for the counter height, so its not really a great place to sit and eat. 3) the refrigerator should be replaced. Yes, it works but it's loud and annoying. 4) The TV or signal should be looked at- picture is not high quality. Now that its a known quantity I would re-book this unit if and when I travel to Honolulu again.
