50th anniversary trip

The condo was beautiful with a great location and good views. We loved the nearby beaches. One was great for snorkeling and another was good for boogie boarding. We still enjoy both, even though we are in our seventies.

Great place

The shower water goes from super hot and you can't get it cold. We opened the bottom windows in the dinning room and living room and the latches didnt work to close them. But everything else was great.

Wonderful in paradise.

Place is better than one imagines. A you ever need. Best time would be August and September when all the marvelous fruits come in and weather is at it's sunny best. February can be awfully rainy they say. We got lucky with this one!

Beautiful property so quiet and peaceful

The place had everything we needed for our 8 day stay. Loved that we cooked almost all of our meals here. Was worried about not having air conditioning but we were never uncomfortable as there was plenty of airflow and fans. The view of the sunrises every morning from the lanai was gorgeous! Close to shopping beaches and restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Nice, clean condo. Great area and view. Disappointed that the pool outside our room was being renovated and didnt know it when we booked. Had to use another pool that took about 10 minutes to walk to. Otherwise very happy with our stay.

Location couldn't be better with walking trails so close. Unit has great bathroom counter space and two sinks to give lots of room. Kitchen needs a new wine opener and tub needs shower mat as base is slippery. Furniture quite comfortable. Good cross breezes so didn't miss air conditioning. We would return to this unit in a heartbeat! Thanks! Suzanne

Lovely Poipu Sands Retreat

Kauai is one of my husband and my favorite islands in Hawaii to visit, and Poipu Sands is our "go-to" place to stay. This was the first time staying at this condo and I must say it was truly a delight. The location of this unit at Poipu Sands offers one of the best views of beautiful Shipwreck Beach from your lanai, in a well-manicured garden setting. The condo is very clean and well maintained throughout. Though we enjoy dining out at the many wonderful restaurants in the area, you will find an updated and well-equipped kitchen to create your own in-house meals. Jim is a super guy to deal with and is quick to respond to any questions or needs you may have. We look forward to a return visit!

The Perfect Location

The property was very clean and the location was incredible!!! The morning coffee view will not dissapoint! *2 Minute Drive to Poipu Beach (great for kids and sea turtle watching) *3 Minute drive to the shopping village which has restaruants, coffee and shopping *10 Minute walk to Shipwreck Beach & the Hyatt Hotel *Quick Drive to Koloa Town where they have great food trucks and a must try fish market The bedding for the pull out couch could use an update. Holes and some stains, but becuase its a 1 bedroom im sure it rarely gets used. Was perfect for our toddler. They also only supply 2 beach towels so more should be available since it is marketed as a condo that sleeps 4. (we had to go purchase more once we arrived) I highly reccomend this condo when visiting Kauai. You wont be dissapointed.

Great location in Poipu

I booked this condo for my mother in law to be close to my family during a vacation where we would be staying at the Hyatt. My father in law ended up coming and staying there as well. They both loved the unit and their time in Poipu. I had read reviews about the lack of AC and road noise. My in laws had no such issues. Since it was nearing the end of winter it was not for our stay but the islands are all about the winds anyway. They found it to be both quiet and relaxing staying there. The unit had everything needed. They loved the view, the open green space off the Lanai, the access to greenway, and the short walk to shipwreck beach and the Hyatt. They also loved location in Poipu. We vacation here often and we will be back to this lovely little gem. I’m writing this some time later as Corona virus is affecting all our lives...best wishes and good health to all of you.

Poipu in January

We had a wonderful stay in the condo thanks to Jim the owner and thanks to prior visitors, who I think left some of the supplies. We added to them. 12-15 min walk to the Grand Hyatt and Shipwreck Beach on oceanside path, depending on how far you want to go. Amazing sunrises seen from the path and beach around 7:15AM. Short drive to local eateries, shopping and Poipu beach, where there is family friendly snorkeling.

Had a lovely, relaxing stay

The property was just as pictured and described. The view of the ocean and mountains in the distance was beautiful and we enjoyed walking down to Shipwreck Beach and seeing the monk seals and walking along the cliffs there. The property itself was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed (kitchen was well equipped, having a washer and dryer was amazing, and the lanai was a great place to relax and read).My only note is that I thought it was a 10-minute walk to Poipu beach...it was a 10-minute walk to Shipwreck Beach, and we chose the very pleasant 5-minute drive to Poipu Beach. Also worth noting, if you're a light sleeper, that the bedroom is next to the main road and there was noise from cars, though the street was mostly busy in the mornings and late afternoons.Truly it was an enjoyable stay - thank you!!

Great location

A bump in the road for the owner Jim as his unit needed work due to sudden water damage. He was wonderful communicator. He kept us update and found us another unit to rent. Poipu Sands is a great location. The pool was fabulous. Even with all the construction around us our stay very nice. We would rent this unit again in the future. What a beautiful view!

Wonderful stay in Poipu

My husband and I had a delightful stay at Jim's condo in Poipu. The unit was even better than the pictures! The view of shipwreck beach is amazing and we loved waking up to watch the sunrise every morning, and enjoying our evening meals on the lanai. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we could need, including high quality cookware. The bed was very comfortable. We actually enjoyed the lack of AC as the trade winds were more than adequate to make the unit comfortable and we were able to enjoy time outside listening to the ocean rather than the neighbor's AC unit. The unit had everything we could need for enjoying the beach including towels, chairs and a little cooler. Thank you Jim for hosting us at your incredible Hawaiian home!

It's near the beach. Watching the sunrise over Shipwreck Cove on the Lanai that opens to a lush open green area while having my morning breakfast and sipping on the best coffee around! Watching the waves break from the great view from the kitchen window! Nice trade winds from the North East.
