Very nice property
Nice apartment in a good location for walking to sites.
An amazing place in the best location!
This was a true gem of a place to find in the heart of the city! The apartment is spotless, airy and spacious. It is perfectly located to walk to all areas of the city or catch the bus or train. A huge thank you to Valentina for her delicious welcoming homemade cake, and Patrizia for picking us up on a busy Saturday night.
We had an amazing time exploring the lovely city of Palermo, would highly recommend, and we will definitely stay there again if we ever fortunate enough to travel to Palermo again 👍
This property is so lovely.....two wonderful bedrooms and bathrooms.....it is very well equipped and so clean. We had a great welcome from Valentina and the gift of a gorgeous orange cake waiting on table. The position of the apartment was excellent just off Via Maqueda which is pedestrianised and very buzzy at night .... loads of great cafes and restaurants nearby. We walked everywhere and only caught buses to Mondello and Monreale both of which are well worth a day out. I would throughly recommend this apartment and Palermo for a holiday.... lovely people great architecture and fabulous food it felt safe walking around at night in fact much safer than many parts of London. I definitely will be back sometime soon thank you Valentina for letting us use your lovely place
Nice and Friendly owner
Flat is in good location with all the facilities you may need
Perfect for us
This was a perfect apartment for us. Each of its assets may not appeal to everyone, may dismay some, enthrall others. First, I was surprised at its size. The kitchen/living area was bigger than expected , the baths were each bigger and the bedrooms equally large. There is air conditioning but with the clever use of open doors and windows the cross ventilation was sufficient for us. It may sound naive but I enjoy the clever engineering of Italian shutters and doors and using them correctly was just fun.
A special shout-out is due for the quality of the WIFI. Full, strong connection everywhere. TV is only Italian but simple to use.
Now location: we are a couple in our 70s and were pleased by the maintenance of the building and it’s elevator. The neighborhood is pure Greenwich Village of the 40’s and 50’s. Little boys played soccer in the street right outside the window. Friends called up to their companions in the upper stories. Yes, some would call the street noisy but I found it typical of where true Palermians live and grow up. The building itself is modern and sleek as are three others nearby, but next door as you walk toward ViaI Maqueda, it is turn of some century and I’m not sure which one. The proximity to important sites and good restaurants is a selling point. Via Maqueda restricted to pedestrians making the 5 minute walk to Quattro Conti simple. From there any tourist map can point the way to necessary sites. Leave the apartment to your right and head to Via Roma where you have a major grocery store (Lidl) or easy access to the Train Station, the Kalsa Region, etc. This was our 4th stay in Palermo so we took it easy and just enjoyed being there and finding little things we had missed before or thought too insignificant in the past. (Although we did see La Traviata at the Teatro Massimo.). Enjoy looking for restaurants along the Via Alloro and don’t miss the modern art museum in the same locale. Both are barely blocks from the apartment. An easy day trip to Cefalù was taken and one day there is sufficient in my opinion. Don’t ignore the fact that Sicily is hot. I think of pre-air conditioned Florida in many places. The food is incredible, the people are beyond nice and your simplest Italian phrase gets a warm welcome albeit usually in English. Valentina is efficient and very reachable. Her orange cake was delicious and lasted us for several days as our dolce of the morning. I want to stay here again.
