The location is superb, it is on a dead end street which ends to the beach; it is a short walk to the end of the street to the beach. There is no through traffic, so very quiet location. It is also in a good location within the island.
The house itself is fairly new, looks like a recent build. The flow of the house is good, well designed.
The checkin process was easy, given a code, worked easily and smoothly.
The house had not had a proper deep clean in a long while. There was mold in multiple showers. There was mold in the kitchen sink. The faucet had mold. The kitchen counter top had food residue that was dried to the counter top. The floors were not mopped before our arrival. The management company did send cleaners the next day to clean. They showed up with a spray bottle and a sponge and told their child in the back seat they would be right back, we told them they needed a deep clean, so they sent another crew later who cleaned the problem areas.
The refrigerator did not work. The management company sent another one and put it in the garage. The main living area with the kitchen is on the second floor. We had brought a lot of food with us, some of which we had to discard because it took us another day of trying to figure out if the refrigerator in the garage was working.
The property manager did communicate when we reached out to her and did try her best to fix things. Unfortunately, we spent the first 24 hours of our trip being disgusted and annoyed, so it affected our trip. We asked for a partial refund for the first day, and we were denied. We called VRBO and they were not much help, telling us we had to deal directly with the property manager.
All in all, the house is nice and in a great location, but has poor management.
This is my first ever negative review on VRBO or other home rental platforms. If something is not ideal, I usually move on, but in this case, I felt compelled to leave my review.
I would not rent here again.
