Pros: clean, well kept condo and building with newer furniture; long skinny deck with beautiful river views and sunrise; quick responses from owners on a few minor issues; 20 minute walk to downtown Stuart over the small bridge; five minute walk to at least four nearby restaurants. The building has a two sided garage on street level, an engineering firm on floor 2 and rental condos on floors 3 and 4 (6 condos in total) with a security elevator and security entrance to each floor. Because they only rent seasonally , there is not a lot of wear and tear. We rented for three months but had to leave 2-1/2 weeks early so we asked the owners about their policy on refunds, thinking they would still be able to rent it. They said they wouldn’t try to rent again so no refunds, but they were very polite about it and we certainly understood.
Cons: the feel of the condo is nice in a business waiting room way but not in a comfy, homey way (non descriptive wall hangings, huge, artificial green plants, “echoey” in the living room); bedroom mattress was too hard for me (not hubby) so I woke up with backaches every day; living room has one recliner chair and one recliner sofa so basically seating for only three people even though it is a two bedroom, four person condo; sofa and chair are faux leather and so deep that my feet dangled (I’m 5’4”) and the material was rock solid hard and uncomfortable for both my husband and me; the four dining room chairs are the kind usually found on a sun deck so they automatically recline way back when you sit on them and made eating at the table awkward; although the condo building is in a strip of nice condos, the area immediately around it is more industrial with a lot of old, empty buildings and yards away from a railroad track, but we never felt unsafe.
