My favorite vacation

The house is beautifully located directly on the harbor, the surroundings are beautiful and the house is very well maintained, the owner really takes care of everything and you lack nothing a beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing vacation. And there are plenty of opportunities for activities from boating, swimming, city sightseeing and beautiful resturantes.... everything there.

Amazing Vacation!

The house is great! We stayed for a week for a family vacation and I highly recommend it and wish I were still there. Vijit and Marilena were both very friendly and helpful. Breakfast every morning was huge and delicious. Paola is very helpful and regularly checking in to make sure everything is okay and if you need a rental car, pick-up/drop-off from the airport, chef, or probably anything else, she provides great recommendations and they all separately coordinated with Paola ensuring everything went smoothly.

We had the loveliest stay at the beautiful La Criolda; Paola was the most communicative, attentive host, and Prabodth & Vigit were so helpful and welcoming. They took such good care of us and our children. The most delicious breakfasts, a tranquil garden filled with flowers, a perfect temperature pool - the house was fantastic. The location was ideal; so so close to pebble beaches and restaurants, but still private. Paola gave great recommendations and we had wonderful outings throughout our stay. We had the most wonderful time! Thank you Paola & team for your kindness!

The most amazing place I’ve ever stayed.

La Criolda is the most amazing, beautiful property with every detail in the from the heart. The home has beautiful views from every room of Lake Garda. Paola, Prabotdh and Vigita greeted us and were so welcoming! We were greeted with appetizers and prosecco. The breakfast every morning was incredible and done to perfection. We felt like family by the end. I can’t express how much we loved our stay. I cried leaving hugging everyone goodbye. We are already planning our next trip back.

Fabulous and full of character

What a wonderful place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with our family. We were thoroughly spoiled for a whole week. The house is beautiful but the weather was so good that we spent most of our time exploring or enjoying the garden and pool. Paola was always available to help with restaurant bookings, arranging taxis or recommending places to visit. Lahiru cooked us lovely food - we all want his pancake recipe. Back to reality now and we all need to go on a diet!

Beautiful home!

The villa is simply gorgeous. Loved the outdoor patio and pool space. A butler serves a full breakfast every morning. They also straighten up the bedrooms and bathrooms daily. We truly enjoyed our time here. I would point out that the villa functions more as a small resort than a house. They ask you not to personally use the kitchen facilities. So, if you are wanting to cook big dinners at home, this might not be the right property for you. Multiple restaurants are in walking distance.

5 star Stay: Paradise on Lake Garda

We had 3 generations staying at La Criolda villa. It is the perfect combination of fine hotel customer service, with the comfort and warmth of feeling like staying in a gorgeous home. Paola the owner is superb. Her communication from the start was great to make sure the property worked for two 81 year olds. She stayed in communication as we made our way there and greeted us warmly. She made the stay perfect. Marilena made the best breakfasts each day and Vigi the butler was helpful with many different things. The staff thinks of everything and anticipated our needs with wonderful concierge service to help with restaurants and sites. The home is beautiful with traditional Italian vila aesthetics, but with modern conveniences of updated bathrooms. Outdoor living space, gardens and pool are gorgeous and we loved relaxing and reading outdoors. Everything is done with the most beautiful touches from breakfast with fresh flowers to beautiful linens in all the bedrooms. The view of the lake is gorgeous and the villa is steps from a restaurant and area to walk or have a coffee or meal on the water. Paola helped us with a chef, masseuse and renting a boat to explore towns from the water. It is quiet and serene at the house, but easy with a car/boat to visit other towns and sites. There are also bikes at the property to explore. We were there a week and from 20 to 81, none of us wanted to leave the paradise Paola and her staff created for us. We hope to return.

Magical Villa on Beautiful Lake Garda!

Our family absolutely loved our stay at La Criolda! The property and staff were above 5 Star! Paola has created a special experience for her guests The villa is magical and the attention to detail can not be over-looked. The Villa is better than what we could have imagined. The pool and outdoor living space overlooking beautiful Lake Garda is gorgeous. Each morning we were served a delicious breakfast perfectly prepared and presented by her staff attentive staff. Paola was a superb host and acted as a private conceirge. From the moment we booked she was helpful and attentive. She provided excellent restaurant recommendations, booked transportation and provided us with suggestions/tips on the places not to miss while visiting the beautiful villages along the coast line. Superb in every way!

Our stay at La Criolda was perfect in every way! The Villa was absolutely stunning! My husband and I vacationed with two other couples….each having our own private luxury suite with views of beautiful Lake Garda. The Villa is just gorgeous and Paola has done an amazing job with the decor…down to every detail! Paola was extremely attentive and assisted us with dinner reservations at the finest restaurants….Lido 84 being our favorite! The staff prepared an amazing breakfast in the morning….a beautiful start to each day. We enjoyed some down time by the pool in the sunshine. The weather was just beginning to turn a bit so the water was too cool to go in, but it was very relaxing and we soaked in the sun with some Prosecco! Paola suggested a car so we could be free to visit nearby towns and sights. The ferries run from Salo which is about a 20 min drive…so keep that in mind if you plan on seeing the towns in the northern part of the lake. We were happy to stay close to the Villa ourselves as it was a short stay for our group. La Criolda was superb in every way! We look forward to an extended stay in the future so we can explore more of beautiful Lake Garda!! Thank you Paola!!

Unforgettable family fun

The review for the “La Criolda” could span several chapters. All of them charming, intriguing and fun. Let’s start with the welcome and meet and greet the staff: Paola has a wonderful way to greet you in the house like you were family, we immediately felt at ease and ready to relax. She introduced the attentive staff and ensured we were all set in our rooms. Then it was time for a celebratory drink and “merenda”; just to set the tone for the rest of the week. Paola will keep checking in throughout the week to make sure everything was taken care of and proposed itinerary and suggestions for dinner and made reservations for us. The house: well - the house is like stepping in a old farm where everything has been adapted for the modern life. Furniture and decore are just perfect, nothing is missing including your little fridge in each room to make sure you are never short of Prosecco or snacks. Every room is livable and promote relaxation and an environment where a family can reconnect, play games and tell stories. The grounds: the garden, the pool and the porch (where you will have breakfast every morning) will give you privacy and another environment where to play and have a laugh. Everything is perfect everything is taken care of….. just enjoy the place and all the amenities.

Utter Paradise

La Criolda is such a magical place it is hard to know where to start when writing a review. We were greeted with such warm smiles and hugs from Paola, George and Lahiru we felt like long lost family. For the rest of our stay they took care of every need and whim, nothing was too much trouble. Paola was an absolute delight, warm, bright and caring. She arranged anything we asked for, found us reservations at fully booked restaurants, taxis, boat rides, tips on markets, shops, and sights, and she was always at the end of the phone when we needed her. George looked after the house and us with quiet elegance. We would leave the villa in a flurry and a mess only to return to a spotless home, beds made, clothes folded, and wine chilled. Lahiru was in charge of the kitchen and provided us with breakfasts fit for kings everyday. Along with pastries, breads,homemade jams, charcuterie, yoghurts, cereals, every tea under the sun, he would also squeeze orange juice and cook a different hot dish every morning. In the afternoon another treat he had made would appear, a freshly baked cake, a delicious smoothy...we were so spoilt. He was always around to help, make us a drink, greet us with a smile, and like George was professional, warm and charming. The villa is breathtaking. Every room is decorated with incredible attention to detail and elegance and individuality. Wooden floors, antiques you dream of owning yourself, enormous exposed beams, soft comfortable seating, it feels like a very old villa in many ways but architectural touches - the polished concrete staircase, the cement stucco walls, chic bathrooms make it anything but old fashioned. The inner workings of the house are very modern- lighting, fridges, tv's, blue tooth speakers in every room, the bathroom fittings, the gym the garage, security - so the house works brilliantly. The bathrooms and bedrooms are filled with thoughtful touches - practically anything you could want you will find, from Italian dictionaries to Prosecco, the bathrooms have little glass bottles filled with shampoos etc, there are dressing gowns, slippers, irons,CDs, baskets full of snacks, it really is quite extraordinary. Oh and the beds have proper linen sheets! Surrounding the villa is a lush well kept garden, an inviting sea green pool sits just beyond the outside terrace, and from the comfy loungers you can see the lake sparkling just meters away. We never wanted to leave and can't wait to return.

Fantastiskt hus, stort och välkomnande med alla tänkbara bekvämligheter. Härlig pool, vacker, stor trädgård, två minuter till strandpromenaden men ändå avskilt. Fyra bra matställen inom 10 minuters promenad. I huset enastående fin service av vänlig personal, lyhörda för önskemål och behov. Förvaltas av en unik, varm och glad kvinna som älskar sina gäster och gör sitt allra yttersta för att lösa eventuella problem eller särskilda önskemål. Hon tipsar även om trevliga utflykter, matställen och guidar om tider och tillgänglighet. Helt enkelt ett underbart ställe att skämmas bort på.

FABULOUS!

We expect a lot, and the villa and service were even better than expected! Paula is a fantastic host. The villa is superbly furnished, with every amenity and comfort needed. The staff is exceptional, tending to our every need. The food and drink provided were excellent, with one of the staff even bring a pastry chef! We have stayed in luxury villas around the world and this experience was the best. Thank you Paola and staff for making it so special! Grazie mille!

Privacy eccellente in luogo incantevole

Abbiamo molto apprezzato i momenti bellissimi vissuti: una vacanza con le persone care in piena privacy in villa dedicata per noi, ma a piedi da lì abbiamo raggiunto ristoranti interessanti. Bellissima l'abitazione, il giardino e la piscina, le colazioni sono variate ed abbondanti.

Exquisite villa…world class service and attention

We savored every moment spent at this beautiful Lake Garda villa. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed as family into our home away from home. Paola is the most gracious, caring, thoughtful and attentive host. She willingly assisted us with all reservations during our stay and answered many questions before and during our stay fully and promptly. She is a delight ♥️ We were lovingly cared for by Praboth and Giorgio who prepared endless cappuccinos and the most delicious breakfasts. We especially loved the berry tart and French bon bons Giorgio made for us.. Our La Criolda was a slice of heaven and we hope to visit again in the future.
