Vinaya's Apartments: Peaceful hideaway-Near ALL attraction.

Vinaya’s 2 bedroom apartment includes a queen (AC included) and twin bed with a private bathroom suitable for 2-3 guests. It also boasts a fully equipped kitchen, living, dining area and balcony. We are in close proximity to the Anse Ivrogne beach and Gros Piton; one of St Lucia’s majestic twin peaks and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The house is surrounded by lush green vegetation with a beautiful view of Gros Piton and the ocean.
Guests can learn about our local pottery and visit our gift shop.

This apartment is a spacious 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom located in the peaceful community of Delcer, Choiseul. Our lovely kitchen is fully equipped with a Stove, refrigerator, microwave and kettle. Wi-fi and the use of washer are available at the property for free.
Guests on property can experience Choiseul's famous pottery making tradition. Miss Leo will introduce you to the process of creating lovely craft from local clay. Guests also have access to our on site boutique where you can select from a variety of pottery and other local craft items sold there.
The apartment is within walking distance (15 mins max) to the ever popular Anse Ivrogne Beach which is at the base of Gros Piton (UNESCO's World Heritage Site). One of the starting points of the Gros Piton Nature Trail is the Anse Ivrogne Beach.
Our lovely apartment is also a few minutes drive from the town of Soufriere where you can indulge in many adventures such as mineral baths and hot springs, waterfalls, nature trails, horse back riding, zip lining and Soufriere's world famous sulpur springs and drive in volcano.
Vinaya's apartments is the perfect place for adventure seekers, environmentalists and dive enthusiasts.
If you are travelling as a group or family of 4-5 persons, you can check out and book our sister apartment, "Vinaya's Studio Apartment: This apartment is our one bedroom studio apartment with both mountain and ocean view. The entire house will become available to you and your loved ones.

This was a wonderful experience for our small family!! I can't say enough about our hostess and her family. They made our stay the most wonderful part of our week in Saint Lucia. If you go and want experience Saint Lucia without the tourists, but with the natural beauty and the vitality of the local culture you should consider staying here. We felt looked after, but not invasively. The home-cooked meal that Vinaya arranged was so lovely and the many other things that she and her family made possible..the best!

Choiseul (round #2)

Came back to stay here after first visiting in 2019. Great piece of property located in the hills of Choiseul. Was able to rent both apartment and main house for our entire stay (5 weeks) to fit our family comfortably. Timely communication with host and on-site support from family members living on property. There’s a pottery shop below the main level run by the host’s mother (who lives next door) She gave us a lovely demonstration one afternoon of how she “fires” her work. Lovely place to meet locals and gain an authentic experience. Would recommend to travelers interested in a countryside rural experience. Located close to many attractions is a plus! Very good value for the money.

Fantastic Location

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION for outdoor adventure seekers. To maximize experience you will need rental car for this property. Driving in St Lucia is a fun adventure in itself. The roads are narrow, steep, windy, pot holed & have deep drainage ditches beside. 1/2 hour drive to 5 best hiking trails, 2 kayaking & snorkeling beaches & 2 hot springs. Wifi & Netflix work well. House is clean. A/C works well in bedroom. Washing machine in house to wash dirty hiking clothes each night. Vinaya mom & uncle live in house 100ft below on property & are very helpful in addressing any issues promptly. Vinaya is a police officer in Vieux Fort so be respectful of her property or you will get a visit from her. Ha Ha Ha. Would stay again.

Wonderful stay!

We had an amazing time during our short stay at this locally owned property. Vin, along with Mom and Uncle Pan, made us feel like part of the family. We definitely look forward to a longer stay here next time! Our time here came at the end of a 3 week stay on island and was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The location is great for solitude and quiet while also being just a short walk or drive to some of the island's most interesting natural sites. We booked here because it is locally owned and we have developed an interest in St Lucian (Choiseul) pottery. The experience did not disappoint. From spending time with Vin and her family to getting a short tour (a small extra charge, well worth it!) of the property and demo of how coalpots are made everything was amazing! Vin was helpful in arranging dinner at a restaurant called The View, which is a short drive (or walk, though coming back to the property was a good uphill climb, lol). As of our stay in May 2022 the restaurant was reservation only so you'll want to work with Vin to help pre-arrange. The property was spotless. Well appointed kitchen for basic self catering, including new small appliances. The queen bed was firm and comfortable. There is an AC in the main bedroom that we only ran part of the night. In the rest of the house and outside there was a substantial breeze that helped keep us cool. As stated in other reviews, driving around this area can be interesting.

Our trip to St Lucia 2019

The house is as advertised on Vrbo. It’s in the country with a wonderful view of the ocean & the Pitons. When we arrived we were greeted with a big basket of fresh grape fruit, cantaloupe, mangoes. The bedding was colourful and the master bedroom had a bottle of wine with wine glasses. The towels in the bathroom were displayed with toiletries. The house was clean. We were picked up by Vinaya from the airport and we also stopped by a super market to get groceries. The house was clean. We hardly used the AC as it’s quite windy and with all the doors and windows open there’s always a breeze. We used the fan in the living room. Vinaya was always helpful, checked on us via what’s app or dropped by to see how we were doing, gave us information on the tours we wanted to do, arranged for transportation for all the tours we did around the island and dropped us off to the airport. We met a lot of her relatives as they all live close. Her mother, grandmother, brother and uncle live close to the house. Vinaya’s mother has a pottery studio on the property. She gave us a tour and showed us how the pottery is made, how they find the clay, how it’s broken up, how they mold the clay and how they are fired. We felt safe wherever we walked whether it was going to the beach, walking to get a bus or just going for a walk. The locals were always friendly always asking how we were, where we were from and wishing us a great stay. The beach is a good walk from the house took us 30 minutes and as St Lucia is mountainous it’s a steep climb going and coming. The beach is quiet mainly locals who fish and enjoy swimming. Seen 1000’s of different fish when snorkeling. You can see Gros Piton from the house. There are many trails up the mountains and all are within walking distance. We enjoyed travelling on the buses didn’t have to wait long to catch one. The bus drivers are very helpful even dropped us off right at the front of the driveway. We got to listen to catchy carribean tunes while enjoying the drive on the windy roads. There is a local store where you can buy groceries. Every morning looking from the balcony or the window of the house we would see sailboats, barges, cruise ships, fishing boats and catamarans sailing by. The sunsets were spectacular. This being our first visit to St Lucia with fond memories of gracious & friendly St Lucian’s, fresh fruits & vegetables, exciting tours, delicious cuisine, gorgeous beaches, great weather, lots of R&R we will be back. 😍

Lovely Island

The house is sparkling clean, has on-site parking, everything you need for a holiday. The kitchen has what is needed to make simple meals there. The bed is extremely firm, as are the pillows. The bedroom is air-conditioned, but the rest of the house is not. You don’t need air-conditioning when the windows and doors are open. The breeze is wonderful and keeps the temperature of the house just about perfect. The hostess worked very hard to make the house beautiful and welcoming. Her uncle was a very nice guide for our first day there. We also met her mother and her son. The whole family was attentive and wanted to help make our stay enjoyable. Thank you! If you intend to stay in the home and be away from it all, this is a fantastic place to stay! It is very private and has the most beautiful views morning and evening. The beach is close enough to walk to if you don't mind a twenty-minute walk down a winding road to the beach and climbing back up a steep hill to get back to the road to get back to the house. If you plan on exploring all of the beauty and wonder that St. Lucia has to offer, you may want to consider ******setting up a driver in advance ********of your stay to drive you to your destinations. Please be aware the location of this home is off of the beaten path. From the house to the main road is not a straight or simple line, it is a drive that requires attention and caution. Many roads on the entire island are just barely wide enough for one vehicle at a time. St. Lucia's roads are incredibly narrow and they twist and turn in treacherous fashions at times. The main roads are not marked clearly or frequently. It is not simple or easy to navigate. There is no shoulder on the roads. This can make driving yourself around the island difficult, time-consuming, and stressful. Hire a driver and this will not be an issue.

My dream is to make my family work known all over the world and at the same time educate persons about the history and process of making those unique pieces. I will be organizing tours for locals and visitors alike as well as provide some peaceful and relaxing accommodations to guests who wish to explore our many attractions.
