Podere Marchiano is an old farmhouse located on the slopes of Montalbano. It is located 12 km from Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo Da Vinci, 30 km from Lucca, 40 km from Florence, 50km from Pisa, 10 km from Montecatini Terme. The house is nestled in the Tuscan countryside, rich in olive groves. Directly overlooking the Montecatini Golf Club - 18 holes. It is possible to use the "Green fee" in all courses in the center of Tuscany. Far from crowded, noisy city, offers the ideal holiday for those who love nature and outdoor activities (golf, hiking, horseback riding) .The central location in the heart of Tuscany, makes Marchiano not only a perfect base for visiting the most important art cities but also the Versilia coast, the Abetone and Pistoia mountains: all locations within a radius of about 50 km away. Their house has retained their rustic characteristics original. The apartment consists of a kitchen and a double sofa bed. Our guests can take advantage of the spaces equipped with appliances in the house and covered: a large shed (barn), which offers a panoramic view of the impressive environmental context of the Val di Nievole; barbecue, swimming pool and parking surrounded by olive groves.

The best place for peace & quiet!

Charming, clean, quiet, peaceful. One of the best places we stayed in Italy! The hosts were so helpful, kind and wonderful! We hope to return again for another stay next time we travel to Italy!

Podere Marchiano was exactly as described in the listing. We spent 4 nights following 4 very busy days in Rome. Alessandro was a terrific host who saw to our every comfort including a free upgrade to larger apartment. Recommendations on places to dine and visit were 5 star. The grounds were beautiful and apartment well appointed.We recommend Podere Marchiano to anyone seeking a quiet and relaxing refuge from the hustle and bustle of city.

Beautiful Tuscany Farmhouse

We stayed here for 4 days in the middle of our trip and it was a perfect break from the sight seeing and crowds. We stayed in one of the apartments on the top floor. It was unique and different from the other accommodations we had during our 2 week stay in Italy. The grounds are so beautiful and the pool was a perfect way to cool off from the July heat. The hosts were friendly and we really enjoyed our stay here!

Beautiful place

Owners were extremely pleasant and helpful. The facilities were very clean and spacious compared to other places stayed. The nearby golf course was in walking distance and beautiful. Only wish I had played. The only negative is the narrow one lane roads you have to drive on.

Charming getaway

We didn’t realize we would have our own apartment in this beautiful old villa. What a pleasant surprise and a very special place. The property is lovely and the pool area nestled in the olive groves was just what we needed to relax and shake off our jet lag for a few days. Alessandro was welcoming and very helpful in pointing us toward fun things to do in the area.

Paradise in Tuscany

This very special place did not disappoint. It was exactly as advertised. Alex our host was incredibly helpful. He even came with us to the local farm and helped us get local chicken wine and vegetables. The whole experience was awesome and I would not have changed a thing. Thanks for your hospitality Alex and Alessandro!

We made new friends with other guests

Alex’s place is very welcoming and comfortable, nestled on top of a hill, it’s quite and peaceful. There are common areas for residents to meet up and and have a local wine together. We ended up making friends with another couple from vancouver. Rooms were spacious and everything worked well in the baths and kitchen. There is lots of parking by the side of the house. lex welcomes new guests with water and wine and gives a good overview of local restaurants and shopping. Definitely recommend

Wonderful Stay

This VRBO was excellent. The views from the villa were unbelievable. The location is very quiet and relaxing. It was welcoming from a day of sightseeing. Alessandro the host was very helpful and informative. He gave us tips for dining and sight seeing. The pool was nice. A few recommendations: If looking to stay there try and book the garden level apartment/flat as you can dine al fresco with ease without climbing up/down stairs. Secondly follow Alessandro driving instructions. I do not recommend the route from Pistola (as this is coming down the mountain with hairpin turns and not a lot of room on the road). Overall excellent stay, would definitely stay there again. :)

My dream come true!

Since a little girl my dream has been to go to the Tuscan countryside and stay in a villa and paint. I got to do just that. At this amazing tranquil beautiful villa! Impeccably clean! Little mini apartments equipped with everything you need for living! In host incredibly kind ,patient and wonderful! Wonderful wonderful food in a little town below! This villa nestled in the middle of the owners olive grove is enchanting! It is worth the drive if you’re looking for peace and quiet and tranquility !!! The drive was stunning going and leaving! You definitely need a GPS to find it! I hope to be back for an extended stay of rest and relaxation and more magical painting time! MeLisa and Chris

Alles wär genau wie in der Beschreibung und die Gastgeber waren unglaublich nett und haben uns jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Alessandro und Lucia sind supernett Alle Vorschläge z.B.. Restaurants oder Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren toll. Das Olivenöl von Alessandro ist Bio und ökologisch produziert- ich habe noch nie ein besseres Produkt probiert- 200% empfehlenswert. Unbedingt mitnehmen. Übrigens war es dort extrem ruhig und erholsam. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Het verblijf was redelijk. Het weggetje er naar toe smal. De keukeninrichting rommelig: 8 koekenpannen en niet eens 4 dezelfde messen. Een heel klein aanrecht waarop je niks kwijt kunt. Wel een heerlijk zwembad met mooie ligstoelen en parasols.

ons verblijf was samen te voegen in een woord geweldig, en wel om de volgende redenen. 1 hele goede ontvangst door de gastheer en gastvrouw we werden direct volop geinformeerd. 2 in het echt is de locatie vele malen mooier dan op de foto's. 3 idiale liggen ten opzicht van alle te bezoeken bezienswaardigheden. 4 een echt compleet leef slaap woon en keuken gedeelte. in een woord hemels goed.

Lovely peaceful retreat

Lovely very well equipped apartment - perfect location with lots of interesting drives within easy reach, brilliant to be able to walk up to golf club for dinner or just drinks (very welcoming to non members) and a wonderful bakery in the nearest village - wouldn’t change a thing !

Es war eine Oase

Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen, die Anlage ist wunderschön und weit weg vom Tourismus. Die Unterkunft wird mit sehr viel liebe geführt, die Einrichtung ist auch sehr liebevoll zusammengestellt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, es ist eine Oase.

Tolles Haus, tolle Umgebung. Sehr sauberer Pool und Garten. Sehr gepflegt und aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Lage ist etwas abseits. Je nach Bedürfnis etwas weit bis zur Autobahnanbindung. WLAN Stärke bzw. Reichweite hat Potenzial. Alles in allem aber ein toller Ort zum Verweilen mit oder ohne Kinder.

Toskana von ihrer besten Seite

Mega tolle Unterkunft, liebevoll hergerichtet. Alex und seine Frau sind immer da, wenn man sie braucht, nett, zuvorkommend und bedacht auf das Wohlbefinden ihrer Gäste. Ganz liebe Leute. Die Lage ist außerhalb auf einem kleinen Berg und somit hat man dort absolute Ruhe, kein Verkehr, nichts. Perfekt zum entspannen. Pool und Liegewiese perfekt. Wir werden wieder kommen... :-)
