Welcome to Villa Guinigi outside LUCCA for An Amazing Holiday ! One of our recent guests described their experience as visiting a "little piece of Heaven". Certainly, it may feel like the Garden of Eden with it's beautiful landscaped gardens, walking paths and facilities.

The apartment living room is very inviting furnished in traditional Tuscan Lucchese style, over looking a private garden with teak table for outside dining with a panorama view of the Lucca area. The apartment is fully equipped with modern comforts including a 21 inch TV, DVD player, stereo, telephone, and DSL connection. The kitchen has beautiful finishes with stone counters, dishwasher, washer and dryer combo, full size refrigerator and freezer and all cooking equipment. The unit is fully air conditioned with wall units, plus all rooms with ceiling fans for comfort plus double thermopane window system and window shutters for maximium comfort summer or winter cooling and heating.

A visit to Villa Guinigi will be a splendid way to enjoy a relaxing holiday. The sitting room is separated from the sleeping area by a passage equipped with a wardrobe that covers the entire wall close to the bathroom with shower facing the two bedrooms, the main with a king size bed and the other with two single beds that could be combined. Plus a pull out sofa for an extra guest in salon.All are furnished in traditional style Tuscan wrought iron beds and furnishings.

The Unique Benefits of this property: The Villa is ideally located close to Historic Lucca and a short distance to many other points of interest by train including Florence (45 min), Pisa (20 min), Viareggio & Forte dei Marmi (25 min), Chinque Terre (60 min), the thermal baths at Bagna di Pisa and Bagna di Lucca. There are many other Tuscan towns where one can enjoy the art, culture, food, wine and people. It's also close to Abetone which has skiing during the winter. Many restaurants, great shopping in Lucca, Puccini Opera, and many art galleries are nearby to enjoy while on holiday.

Great Experience

Great property. Feels very tucked away, but connected to many cities of Italy as long as you have a car. Also, the villa on site (not where you stay but is in property) was built by Napoleon.

Beautiful escape

We had a fantastic stay at the Magnolia apartment and didn't want to leave. Great communication with Gene before and during the stay. Personalized attention from manager Filippo, who had great tips about where to eat and watch the Euro football championships. The apartment itself has everything you'd need with charming interior, idyllic patio, and million-dollar views. The kids loved the (chilly) pool. We had fun meeting the other guests. The villa next door is beautiful. Harrowing trips up and down the mountain road to Lucca, but worth it for the experience. We look forward to coming back soon.

Lovely apartment, gorgeous grounds

My 16-year-old daughter and I stayed in the Magnolia apartment, which was was clean, well-equipped, and well-suited to our needs. The patio looked towards the pool and out over the Tuscan hills — it was lovely to sit there in the morning or after a day of touring. The pool is delightful and the setting could not be more perfect. The property is about 15 minutes from Lucca and there is a little grocery store walking distance from the apartment. They make their own cured meats and have a good selection of cheeses. We were able to pick up all we needed there. It’s open in the mornings and then again in the late afternoon and evening. We highly recommend them! In addition to seeing Lucca, we’d recommend seeing the Villa Reale, which is about eight minutes down the hill and has beautiful grounds. Communication with reception was always easy, and Francesco in particular was very helpful. I would recommend the apartment to any friends and family thinking of visiting Tuscany.

Beau séjour

Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux. Mes enfants ont adoré. La piscine est globalement bien entretenue. Les transats sont disponibles. Le logement est bien équipé. Il manquerait un barbecue plus adéquat et un équipement de nettoyage. Notre seul souci a été le bruit des voisins du haut (bruits de meubles qu on déplace à toute heure même la nuit, douche à 3h du matin, bruits de pas incessants) mais tout ceci n a rien à voir avec le logement en lui même. Le site est parfait et agréable pour se balader. Merci beaucoup.

Klare Empfehlung! Zumindest ab 16+

Die Wohnung ist typisch toskanisch eingerichtet. Sämtliche Fotos sind ziemlich genau getroffen. Die Lage der Wohnung auf dem Gelände nahezu perfekt. Direkt am Pool - durch die tiefere Lage des Pools dennoch sehr ruhig. Man hat von der Terrasse und der Küche einen wunderbaren Blick über Lucca. Das Gelände an sich ist durch die Lage am Berg aber nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Was unserem 10-tägigen Aufenthalt dort aber überhaupt keinen Abbruch tat. Leider ist nicht ganz klar, inwieweit spielende Kinder auf dem Gelände erwünscht sind, da doch einige andere (nicht italienische!) Gäste, die dortige Ruhe genießen möchten... Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter klappte reibungslos. Aber Achtung: Mückenspray einstecken! Mit größeren Kindern würden wir gerne wieder dort einchecken.

Wunderschöne Lage - zu viele Verbote

Zuerst - die Lage ist wunderbar! Das Objekt liegt oberhalb von Lucca und man hat einen tollen Blick auf die Stadt und die Region. Die gesamte Anlage ist schön angelegt, der Pool liegt unterhalb am Hang ideal für einen Sundowner, allerdings könnten die Wege zum Parkplatz im Wald etwas Aufmerksamkeit vertragen. Bei der Ankunft wird man freundlich begrüßt, allerdings folgt dann eine Auflistung von Ver- und Geboten, die ich noch nie in Italien erlebt habe und das Urlaubsvergnügen doch einschränken. Warum ist z.B der Pool nur von 9.00 bis 19.00 Uhr geöffnet … im Hochsommer!? Kein entspanntes Bahnenziehen am Morgen, … Die Beschreibung des Apartments ist doch optimiert - es gibt keine drei Schlafzimmer! Erst aus dem Kleingedruckten kann man dies schlussfolgern. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist OK, es fehlen allerdings so einfache und geläufige Dinge wie Schüsseln. Die architektonische Gestaltung der Räume sorgt dafür, dass bei Nutzung des Badezimmers auch noch gleich ein Schlafzimmer lichtdurchflutet wird (Mauer mit einem Fenster durchbrochen). Die Sinnhaftigkeit dieses Stilelements muss mir jemand einmal erklären. Der Eigentümer aus den USA versorgt einen nach der Buchung mit lesenswerten Informationen zum Objekt, ist danach aber nur noch darauf fixiert, sein Geld zu bekommen … kein freundliches „Willkommen“ oder so ;-) Insgesamt kann ich dieses Objekt nur empfehlen, wenn man mit max. vier Personen unterwegs ist und einem die genannten „Einschränkungen“ nicht so wichtig sind.

Vieles stimmte nicht bei den Angaben der Ferienwohnung

Der Aufenthalt war schön. Die Anlage insgesamt perfekt. Allerdings war die Ferienwohnung angegeben mit 3 Schlafzimmern. Das stimmte nicht. Es waren nur 2 Schlafzimmer vorhanden. Allerdings gab es im Wohnzimmer / Küche ein Schlafsofa. Die Wohnung war angeben mit über 80 m2. Es waren aber nicht einmal 50 m2. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht. Es gab auch nur eine nicht funktionierende Klimaanlage, die dann auch ausgebaut wurde. Die 2 Schlafzimmer waren nicht klimatisiert. Der Schirm auf der Terrasse war defekt und konnte uns nicht mehr beschatten. Es ist schon eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung aber ein bisschen mehr Ehrlichkeit wäre bei dem Preis schon angemessen.

Toller Service/ tolle Anlage

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub. Die Mitarbeiter vor Ort waren alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. 2-3 Mängel wurden sofort beseitigt/ ausgetauscht. Auch bei möglichen Ausflügen/Aktionen waren sie sehr hilfsbereit. Unser Hund wurde freundlich behandelt. Manchmal waren die vielen Kinder am Pool etwas laut, sodass man dort die eigentliche Ruhe nicht immer genießen konnte. Aber das ist ja ein sehr individuelles Bedürfnis unsererseits. Die Wohnung war etwas klein und entsprach nach meinem Gefühl nicht ganz der angegebenen Größe. Es hätten vielleicht auch noch ein paar Küchenutensilien mehr vorhanden sein können.( z.b. Salz und Pfeffer). Das Appartement über uns war sehr hellhörig. Da hatten wir glaube ich etwas Pech. Aber wie gesagt, wir sind auch insgesamt sehr Ruhebedürftig. Alles in allem durchaus zu empfehlen!

Schönes Anwesen mit toller Ausicht

Wir hatten eine schöne Wohnung im Erdgeschoss, nur wenige Meter vom Pool und seiner tollen Aussicht auf Lucca und Umgebung. Der Pool war für die Anzahl der Gäste völlig ausreichend und es gab genügend Liegen mit Sonnenschirmen. Wie überall mussten natürlich auch hier wieder übereifrige Gäste in aller Herrgottsfrühe Liegen mit Handtüchern "reservieren" - wann hört dieser Blödsinn endlich mal auf? Die Wohnung war sauber, mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Stühle und das Sofa dürften etwas bequemer sein, aber da wir sowieso viel unterwegs und andonsten im Pool waren, hat es uns nicht weiter gestört. Mückennetze sind vorhanden - und die braucht es auch. Man sollte sich abends auf der Terrasse schützen, da doch einige Mücken und andere Fluginsekten herumfliegen und stechen oder beißen. Bei der Anfahrt genau auf die Beschilderung zur Villa achten. Wir sind versehentlich einmal geradeaus durch ein Tor gefahren - es erschien uns logisch - und uns dann auf einem Feldweg wieder gefunden. Wir hätten links statt geradeaus fahren müssen, ein Schild zeigt das auch an, also aufpassen. Toll ist, dass es viel Grün auf dem Gelände gibt. Überall gibt es Möglichkeiten, sich auf einer Liege zu entspannen. Auch der Spa-Bereich ist klasse. Wir konnten ihn aber leider wegen Wartungsarbeiten nicht richtig nutzen. Die Mitarbeiter der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt für 4 Nächte als erste Station einer Toskanarundreise.

Jeder Tag total erlebenswert!

Wir haben in der Villa mit Kindern und Hund unsere Osterferien verbracht und es war fantastisch! Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, der Ausblick überwältigend und die Mitarbeiter hilfsbereit und immer zur Stelle (danke Enrico, Chiandra und Walter!). Da die Anlage etwas abseits des Geschehens liegt, ist abends und Nachts auch wirklich Ruhe - etwas ungewohnt für Stadtmenschen, aber herrlich. Im Radius von einer Autostunde ist so viel zu erreichen, dass man locker 10 Tage jeden Tag etwas Neues erleben kann. Wir kommen sicher wieder her!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cet appartement très bien équipé et calme. C'est juste dommage que la piscine ferme à 19h.

La struttura è fantastica e il personale competente e disponibile. Abbiamo solo avuto un piccolo inconveniente a causa della prenotazione con il cane, ma è stata risolta brillantemente.

A lovely place to relax, enjoy the views, and sunshine.

We enjoyed 5 nights at the end of July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff on site were very friendly and organised. The pool was splendid with an amazing view of the Tuscany hills. The flat was clean and had all the amenities we needed. My only negative feedback is the listing which states in two places this is a 3 bedroom villa/flat which is what we were looking for with three children ages 10, 13, 15. After we booked we read the fine print of the listing which said the 'Bedroom 3' is a sofa-bed in the lounge. Very misleading but at the same time I have a relaxed 15 year old who took it on the chin and camped out their under the fan and good air conditioning for the 5 nights.
