Imagine a peaceful stay in a totally updated historic victorian era (built 1900) farmhouse located in a beautiful picturesque valley. Only minutes away from Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Family attractions of Gatlinburg and Dollywood. Home has 3 bedrooms with king and queen beds , two baths , with extra sofa sleeper. Fully equipped kitchen, three fireplaces. Located in the shade of two gigantic white oak trees, home features wrap around porch and private second floor balcony overlooking mountain stream. Hiking trails nearby, as well as numerous cafes and restaurants. Fully equipped gourmet kitchen and convenience of central heat and air. Private setting, no other homes in view. Available daily or weekly.
NOTE: This home is in a quiet country setting and permanent residents live somewhat nearby. As such, motorcycles with straight pipes and dirt bikes are not allowed. Guests are asked to be mindful of a quiet peaceful setting. If you like noise, this property is not for you. And, please obey speed limits on Martin valley Road.

Mountain Wedding

We stayed at the house for our wedding we planned on having at Cades Cove but the place was so beautiful we had it right there in the yard. We all fell in love with this place. The pictures don’t do it justice. The best vacation home I’ve ever stayed in. We are already looking forward to our next stay there. It was so beautiful and peaceful we didn’t want to leave!

Holiday retreat

Beautiful surroundings

If you're looking for a quiet and scenic country setting, this is it! A few minutes from Townsend and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, about 45 minutes or so from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge. Close enough to attractions but a nice quiet escape to come back to. The owners are great hosts and the property is in excellent condition.

Back in time

If you are looking to stay on the peaceful side of the smokies this is the house for you. Go back in time in this beautiful home. Seen deer every day of our stay, even a large rack buck. Swing on the front porch and listen to the creek. Friendly owners, we will be back and this is the house for our family.

A Step Back Into A Simpler Time

This house and property is an absolute dream! It will charm you from the moment you drive down the road and take in the idyllic country setting. From the creek babbling in front of the property, the beautiful setting, the amazing porches, and the gorgeous Victorian style home, you will not be disappointed! The house and grounds were immaculate and immediately makes you feel at home. We could’ve stayed here for weeks and plan to return again. There are some delicious restaurants in Townsend and the Smokies are practically in your backyard! This is my favorite VRBO that I have ever stayed in! The kitchen is well stocked and wonderful to cook in. The owners have literally thought of every detail! Do not pass by this property without booking! The owners are very attentive and kind!

Peaceful Country Getaway

My family stayed in this beautiful historic home over the New Year, and it was by far my favorite VRBO find! The home is charming and makes you feel like you are stepping back in time, yet it provides all the modern amenities you need and more (the wall heater by the shower was glorious). We cooked dinner every night, and the kitchen is fully stocked. Need a garlic press? They have it. Need grilling utensils? They have those too (plus charcoal and gas grills). There is even a fire pit perfect for roasting marshmallows. The property surrounding the home looks like a postcard. The home sits in a valley surrounded by foothills, and a beautiful creek lines one side of it. You can relax on a bench or sit on one of the porch swings and enjoy the peaceful sound of water rushing by. A barn and pasture full of cattle are just around the corner. My 6-year-old loved walking down the lane and watching the little calves play. While the home is neatly tucked away, everything you may want to visit in the Smokies is nearby. It really is the perfect location. Overall, this property is a gem. We will be back!

This was the best by far property we have ever stayed in. Beautiful victorian home, beautifully decorated and the grounds had flowers blooming. The front porch was where we had our morning coffee. We listened to the creek, watched the cows and turkeys and it was so relaxing. I will definitely booking again. It was an absolute10.

Home away from home.

What a wonderful, magical place. A person writing a storybook couldn’t dream up a more welcoming abode. From the picturesque views to the babbling brook just off the front porch it is purely amazing. We will be staying here again, hopefully for years to come.

Fabulous House & Location

Lou & Carla’s place is a fabulous place for a respite. The old farmhouse is very cozy and beautifully restored. Would recommend this place for anyone to stay in and we will definitely be back again.

We loved the home from our first sight when we rounded the corner and drove in the driveway. The weather was perfect. We went on excursions each day, but the best part always was coming home and relaxing on the porch with a book and cocktail The cows and wild turkeys kept us entertained. We also loved watching the wild birds at the feeders. We have already made plansto go back. Need we say more?

The property was amazing and very peaceful, our host was very responsive and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed for the trip, I would love to come back and spend some more peaceful nights in the farmhouse.
