The chalet did not disappoint! Best view I’ve ever had. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Living area and kitchen had everything we needed. The new hot tub was an added perk and the kids loved it. We also enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Already trying to figure out when to come back!
Absolutely wonderful stay! This was easy to get to, and the pictures do not do the view justice. It was perfect for a weekend getaway! Could easily have spent more time just sipping coffee on the deck. The hot tub did break down, but Carol promptly sent a repairman out to check it out and handled the situation.
The STEEP one lane road up to this house is worth the white knuckles! This house is so perfect. We went for a girls' weekend and had the best time. I would highly recommend arriving during the day so you can have your bearings and see because for the novice mountain driver, it can be daunting. But, again....SOOO worth it. The only suggestion I would make would be to have drapes on the windows to pull at night - my imagination went into overdrive after dark with the living area so open. But, in the day time, it is wonderful. We took a train ride on the Nantahala (GSMR), which I would highly suggest. The next day we climbed Kuwohi, which I would also highly suggest doing. We ate a the sweetest locally owned restaurant in Cherokee (Paul's). Each afternoon we came back and sat on the porch for a few hours. It was perfect! I would highly recommend staying here and hope to come again in the future.
Everything was as expected. View is beautiful, house is nice, and decorated for Christmas was a bonus. Fireplace is great. You can get lost in the clouds.
The house was everything promised and more! It was very well stocked with anything we would need, including a decorated Christmas tree. The view is breathtaking and everything was homey and very clean. This is a great house for a family gathering and as a home base for riding the Polar Express.
This property was amazing, from the breathtaking views, to the spacious and clean accommodations, to the responsiveness of the hosts. We had family in for the train ride and this was a perfect spot. Close enough to the quaint little towns for shopping and food yet far enough up the mountain to have spectacular Fall views. We would definitely stay here again when back in the area!
We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin was so cozy, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The views were absolutely breathtaking — some of the best we’ve ever seen from a cabin. It was peaceful, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Truly one of the nicest cabins we’ve ever stayed in. We’ll definitely be coming back again!
Everything was impeccably clean. The views were beautiful and enjoyable to just sit, visit, and take it all in. We started our day enjoying coffee on the porch and finished it with a glass of wine breathing in the beautiful view and quiet sounds of nature. Private but convenient to activities nearby.
We spent the holiday weekend with the whole family to celebrate a special birthday. The house was perfect for all our needs. If the owners ever want to sell please let us know it was home away from home we loved it.
The place was perfect with plenty of space for everyone and amazing view over the mountains. The instructions were spot on, from hot tub, to fireplace and the kitchen had everything needed and it’s clear this is a well maintained place. We would stay here again 100%.
Due to multiple falls over 2 days, my 65yo body was pretty banged up for the entire stay, but the hot tub was WONDERFUL and it gave us all time to just slow down and enjoy quality time as a family. The house was lovely and our host, Carol, was available by text within minutes if needed. I would go back anytime!
