The hosts were very personable and responsive to questions. The rental was very clean and comfortable. The rooms were perfect. The kitchen area is small but has all needed amenities - a hotplate, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, tea kettle. The living and dining areas are a good size. It was a very relaxing place to return to after a day of skiing.Access to the apartment was through the garage which made it very privateAs advertised it is close to the ski resorts, which was important as I was on a ski trip with my family.I recommend this rental highly!

Mellow mid century modern.

Very nice space with a great layout. Big bedroom and comfortable living area with a cool retro bar/kitchenette. Very accommodating host. Nice safe neighborhood with very easy access to big and little cottonwood canyons

Excellent Location, Very Clean, Great Host

My Son and I were visting to skiing with our IKON pass. This is a GREAT location for that with 5 IKON mountains within ~30 minutes. I also found the location great in general because of easy access to the highway, a nearby Grocery store, and lots of food options. The host was excellent and the apartment was exactly as described. Everything was spotless and looked new. Kitchen is small, but plenty for a quick breakfast or casual dinner. We definitely plan to return.

Restful spot!

We loved staying with you! There was plenty of space for our family of 4. We do alot of cooking and the induction burner worked great. This was a well-kept and comfy spot close to everything we wanted in the city! Thank you!

Fantastic place, great hosts!

We loved John and Shawn's beautiful and cozy apartment. It was spotless, adorably decorated, fully stocked and very comfortable! They were 100 percent responsive as hosts--even delivering us fresh-baked cookies. The location is perfect--close to downtown and minutes away from the ski bus stop. We didn't want to leave! One note--if you are a sensitive sleeper, there is some noise from above (it's a ground-level apartment under their main house). The noise was not a problem at all for us, but just want to note that. Would definitely stay here again:)

Cute, clean, and spacious

This is a great spot but I would not have stayed here if I knew the only entrance and exit was through a finicky garage door. It felt like a fire hazard to not have a proper door to the apartment. And frankly I wonder about the legality of it.

Thanks for your feedback Amber! The garage door is a standard overhead door that operates on a button by the inside door and a keypad outside, just like the description says. I assure you that all bedrooms and living spaces have egress windows to current code (for exit) and the entrance and exit is to code and perfectly legal as well. Sorry your experience wasn't what you expected. But thanks for staying!

Wedding week

This vrbo housed an assortment of family and friends who passed through SLC for a wedding. The property managers were incredibly gracious and the housing was perfect in every way. We will definitely return to this vrbo in the future.

We started Powderhorn Properties because we care about your experience as a guest! We want to exceed even your wildest expectations while you're on vacation or just staying with us! We've had some amazing experiences from other hosts, and we definitely want you on the amazing spectrum too!

We are active individuals who are both Salt Lake City transplants. We're originally from the Midwest (Minneapolis & Wisconsin), and came here for 5 years ... 30 years ago! We are all very active individuals.

I'm a road and mountain biker, and regularly bike a couple thousand miles per year. I generally get a couple centuries in a year, and once did a double century (200 miles). One and done. We also enjoy hiking and skiing in the winter.

We enjoy traveling and cultural events in Salt Lake.

Our home is centrally located in a quiet culdesac in Olympus Cove on the East side of the valley. Freeway access is moments away and there is also a bus stop that is within walking distance.
