I give this a 5 star because the hosts were amazing and very available for anything we needed. The location is great with a fun park across the street and a short walk to the beach. The couches were not that comfortable. The beds were very soft and comfortable. I do feel there should be attention to detail on some areas that were not that clean. The housekeeper needs to put in bit more elbow grease on areas of the kitchen and floors and outdoor furniture. But in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

Family Vacation

Communication with owners was great. They made sure we had what we needed. My family and I had an amazing time. It was roomy, cozy, and just perfect for our needed. The park is right across the street and walking distance to beach. Short drive to Pismo and close to town. Would definitely stay here again!

A convenient place for a family gathering.

Family members from LA and SF area met for a weekend in a very central spot. The house had just enough equipment for our group. The owners were very helpful and responsive to requests. Our kids loved the nearby park and the short walk to the diner. They also loved the foosball game. This house was a good choice for us.

Great place for a family vacation!

This house was perfect for our family vacation with 2 grandparents, 4 parents and 2 grandchildren; plenty of room for all of us. Great location with a park and duck pond across the quiet street (the 3 year old grandkids visited every day), and less than 10 minute walk to the beach. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Melany and Jon were very welcoming and extremely responsive when we had questions about fun outings in the area. Thank you so much!

The Basics with a Good Location

Let me start by saying that the location (across from the City park and near the Dunes) and communication with owners was top notch. They allow dogs (but it’s not a closed yard) and the rooms are nice in size. It has laundry and a working kitchen. For a group of 20 somethings wanting to stay close to the beach at a no frills place, it’s a good fit.The cons? There were beer cans and other trash left in the closets from the last visitors, there was mold on the shower curtains and tubs, and no water pressure in the main bathroom due to a leaky shower head. It was well used but more important, didn’t really “feel” clean. The towels provided were beach towels only, and the comforters and mattress cushions were very worn and ripped in multiple places. The floors and bedding felt dirty even though the owners have signs highlighting the efforts used to clean and sanitize the home. Also (not the owner’s fault), the neighbor’s dog barked most of the first night we stayed there. It wasn’t as bad the second night.

PERFECT FOR A MAMMA MIA BACH TRIP

not only did i love my stay at this house, but so did the entire bridal party! we didn’t have to decorate much because of the existing theme of blue and boho! jon & melany were great hosts and very communicative! our only notes were updated sink faucets & shower curtains, deadbolt locks, & more pots/pans. other than that it is a perfect stay! :)

NOT FOR ELDERLY and DISABLED

Poor access for wheelchair-driveways have gravel, high transom at gate, doorway entrance, shower ,and very low sofas. Only accessible seat a chair at dining table with a cushion I brought. Photos of the property are not what is in it, e.g. thank goodness no white furniture, sofas covered but not user friendly for me. Moldy shower, dirty windows. Excellent kitchen. Thanks for you efforts.

Guests arrived ahead of us to discover property had not been cleaned after last guests. Ended up having to scramble and find 4 hotel rooms available on a Friday night. Cost us 4 times our original stay rate. Awful start to our family reunion.

This is our fourth year that we’ve rented this property location is wonderful. The beach is walking distance. Pismo is just down the street. We went Morro Bay one day I love making memories with my family.

Disaster bungalow

The property should not be listed in your web site. It’s a total ripoff. The appliances are archaic and not functioning. Living quarters have only couches meant for children. Lacks cleanliness , cleaning utensils, words cannot describe the cooking utensils. We felt we were staying in a South Africa township

Pismo Trip

We had teenage grandsons and younger ones. (age 1 & 4)The park across the street was so fun. The pond nearby was amazing, we saw beavers, a raccoon, bats and a variety of birds. 5 minute walk to the beach. FUN!!!

Needs fixing/remodel

The place is alright, quite old and needs some basic remodel.We only stayed here one night. Both bathrooms were old and had issues. Hot water not working on one and the second bathroom, the sink was not draining. So we were down to 1 bathroom for ALL showers and second was merely a the powder room, for Sink usage.The owner did show up to check in the morning at 10.15 but it was so close to check out time that there was no time to repair. However, we clearly saw that it was a Chronic problem hence putting it out here so they fix it and others dont have the same issue. They offered late check out only cause there was no one checking in that day (we were offered discount the checkout morning to stay longer)Also, 2 of the hallway futons, we could not convert to the bed. So the place needs uplifting on our opinion.

This is a classic mid-century beach house with lots of room. It's in a quiet neighborhood right across from a large park & duck pond. Just a short, easy walk to the beach. Near terrific restaurants. Short drive to Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, wine country, and Chumash Casino.
