About Gemma Ida Benedetti
Gemma, a teacher, and Andrea, an antiquarian, will welcome you! They are always happy to offer guidance to plan your visits, to let you have fantastic memories of your holiday in Versilia.
Gemma Ida Benedetti purchased this Country house/chateau in 1973
Why Gemma Ida Benedetti chose Ripa-Pozzi-Ponterosso
The house was bought in 1973 by Gemma's parents: At that time they lived in Rome and wanted to have their own house in Versilia for their holidays. Back to Tuscany, her parents settled in Forte dei Marmi and Antico Borgo became Gemma and Andrea's house after their marriage. They decided to rent their house to share this pleasant place with people who love travelling and discovering new traditions and habits. According to the owners' experience, spending a holiday in a cosy flat means to 'feel themselves at home', even away from home! For their experience, spending holidays in a cozy apartment is the best way to feel at home, even away from home! Everything is born, therefore, from the desire to share, to open the doors to someone who came from afar, who will first be a welcome guest and perhaps, later, even a friend.
What makes this Country house/chateau unique
The main characteristic of this farmhouse is lying very close to everything, but being secluded and sorrounded by huge olive-groves at 360°, with a stunning view of the Apuan Alps! The most striking feature of the farmhouse is being located in the plains close to everything, but at the same time being secluded and sorrounded at 360° by olive groves and orchards. The 3000sqm large garden / olive grove offers many relaxing corners, but also playing areas, where you can enjoy your holiday at full, in a park that according to seasons offers different colors and scents ! Do not forget the magnificent view of the Apuan Alps, the surrounding hills and magnificent sunsets !! The road that leads to the farmhouse, crosses a small ancient village of houses (hence the name of the property) renovated with care and respect for traditions, so as to preserve an ancient "flavour".
