Celebration weekend

We celebrated my 60th birthday and it was a fantastic place to do so. The recommendation for the chef was excellent also- so a great weekend for us all and we would not hesitate to forward the recommendations to others if asked.

Break between Christmas and New Year

A lovely barn conversion with plenty of space for 8 of us. Perfectly described on the VRBO website. A most relaxing break with the family in a quiet and remote part of Suffolk. Would recommend and would go again.

Fantastic barn, absolutely beautiful. Plenty of room for us 7. Used the hot tub several times, which was lovely. Nice pubs nearby by car. Lovely time had by all, helped by unexpected sunshine 🌞

New Year with friends

Perfect location for a few days away with friends to see in the New Year. The barn was perfect, beautiful location and it didn’t hurt that the weather was perfect! The barn exceeded our expectations for space and was a sociable space for the eight of us.

Suffolk Getaway

We were looking for somewhere special to celebrate my 50th birthday with some close friends and Old Oak Barn certainly provided that. The house was beautifully furnished, very clean and had some great amenities. The communication with the host was excellent, very informative and timely. I could not recommend this house enough in the beautiful Suffolk countryside.

A Fab & Relaxing Break

Thank you Marcus for being on hand to help with the “little” problem that we had. Everything was as listed the only negative was that a lot of the kitchen equipment has seen better days and could do with replacing. This didn’t detract from our enjoyment of our time here. The Sonos worked well. The space is wonderful and homely. The uninterrupted view is glorious. We all enjoyed ourselves and were very comfortable here. Marcus was very responsive. Thank you for our welcome gift. It was greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

Great escape to the country

Old Oak Barn lived up to our expectations and was a lovely place to stay and celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. The barn provides spacious, well maintained accommodation, the kids loved the pool table and dart board whilst the adults loved sundowners on the patio overlooking the fields. It is set in an extremely quiet location amongst fields, which was perfect for our family. It could only be bettered if the nearest pub was closer, and less than an hours walk. For any family looking for a rural getaway in the middle of Suffolk, this is it!

We stayed at Old Oak Barn for a hen weekend. The location and property were perfect. A tranquil setting and an hours drive to the coast plenty of space for everyone!

Great for a family get together

We stayed here to celebrate my 40th birthday with family and I am so happy we chose this house! Beautiful decor, lovely and clean with well stocked kitchen equipment etc. Literally couldn’t have asked for more. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for some chill out time in a relaxing environment!

We had a lovely weekend. The perfect space to spend some quality time with friends. Kitchen was well equipped for all the cooking we did. Hot tub was the icing on the cake.

Amazing weekend for a surprise 70th birthday!

We booked the Old Oak Barn as a surprise for my Mum’s 70th birthday. There were 6 adults and 4 children staying. What can I say…. the barn is just stunning and from the moment we walked in, we felt at home. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. The hiring of the hot tub was the icing on the cake and would definately recommend. To our surprise it was a sturdy one rather than an inflatable hot tub that we have had on other occasions. The barn had absolutely everything anyone could need and it was clear a thought of thought and heart had gone into this beautiful barn conversion. Marcus was incredibly responsive and helpful during the whole process. The only downside was that we were only there for 2 nights and not longer. Can’t recommend Old Oak Barn enough and we will definately look to return again!

Fantastic break

Just returned from a lovely break at the barn, Marcus was super helpful and recommended a great day out canadian canoeing with the kids. Everything at the barn was great, loads of room for all the family. All very clean and well equipped, great garden and we would definitely recommend the hot tub. Thanks Marcus, hope to visit again soon.

Beautiful house and wonderful stay

My family and I stayed here for the week, with our 2 young babies and we had a wonderful stay. The property is beautiful and in a lovely location. A short drive to a little market town with places to eat and shop. We visited farms and parks with our children and enjoyed time in the lovely garden at the barn. Marcus was brilliant, and communication was fantastic! It had everything we needed and would highly recommend a stay here

Amazing!

Stayed at Old Oak Barn for my 30th Birthday celebrations and had the best time. The house is absolutely beautiful and Marcus and Jane were excellent hosts, it was lovely to be able to meet them when we arrived. Cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely be staying again!

Bliss

We all had a wonderful weekend away in the beautiful countryside. The Barn was full of character & charm & was exactly what we were after after a hectic year. My 2.5 year old absolutely loved having all that space to run around in-especially across the bridge which is a stunning feature. Communication with Marcus was amazing and he was always so helpful with any requests. Thanks for a lovely stay
