The unit was great and covered all of our needs. The view is spectacular, and the location is great. There is easy access to the main highway, this made travel easy. The amenities included with the unit was great from stocked kitchen, stocked bathroom, bedding, utensils, grill, washer/dryer, garage, etc. If you needed it, it was there. Most importantly, Judy the property manager was excellent. She checked on us often making sure we had what we needed, and if we didn’t tried to accommodate for us. She answered our questions quickly and was a wealth of knowledge. We truly enjoyed our stay at this unit.
Lovely landlady, pretty location!
Judy has welcomed with basket full of fruits, beagels, and chokolate. The flat is large and there is wonderful look ou on the Pacific. She offers all waterequipment, also laundry and dryer. We spent a wodnderful time there.
Great little home away from home
We just returned from 3 wonderful weeks at Kona Pacific View ...our hostess Judy was the best which began with our late arrival greeting with a much appreciated basket of goodies . Judy was extremely helpful with her suggestions on what to see and do and restaurants and beaches to visit ; so wonderful to have a personal concierge 😊. It was extremely peaceful , great sleeps in the king size bed and the kitchen was well equipped . We would definitely recommend this unit again ...mahalo Judy !!!
A private oasis for sure!
After reading thru many descriptions and reviews of vacation rentals, we decided this was the one for us, and we were not disappointed. When we were planning our trip, Judy was always prompt and helpful in replying to our questions. When we arrived, she was waiting for us with a welcome basket of goodies. She went into the unit with us to show us around and answer any questions. During the rest of our stay, she was available for questions but respected our privacy. She is also very knowledgeable about the Kona area. We appreciated having complete privacy and not having other travelers above, below, or next to us. The view from the lanai is wonderful and we took most of our meals there. The setting is very quiet and peaceful with the main sound being birds singing, and there were no bothersome bugs. The kitchen is well-equipped, the shower is very good, the bed is comfortable, and the unit is well-stocked with travel info. There is a garage to park your car in and there is snorkel equipment, boogie boards, and chairs you can use. We would highly recommend Kona Pacific View. The only problem: It will be too long until we can return!

Avoid the traffic in Kona - easy access to Kaloko shopping area and just a short drive to the best beaches and shops on the Big Island (Kohala coast). Only five traffic-free minutes to Makalei Golf Course. The orchard features a walking/jogging path... you can even pick your own papaya for breakfast! Other fresh fruits available in-season. Our property features mango, lime, lemon, papaya, grapefruit, lychee, guava, banana, longan, tangerine, avocado and coffee trees. Pineapple, lilikoi and tropical flowers are abundant.
Golf: Makalei Golf Course is just 5 traffic-free minutes away.

I'm a woman of a certain age who moved here from LA where I lived in a canyon so I never saw a sunset or the light at the end of the day. I built on a property that overlooks the ocean and shore, with wondrous sunsets every night. I like to grow things, so have planted all sorts of fruit trees, flowers and vegetables, which I share with guests (as well as with an occasional wild pig) and also sell at the farmers markets. I enjoy meeting people from all over both at the markets and the rental..

For the above reasons. I live on the property in a separate structure, so the rental is quite private. The closest house to this property is about 100' away. Because I am on the property, I act as a sort of concierge, with tips and suggestions.
What makes this Apartment unique
I bought this land and built to take advantage of the vast ocean views and since there is a protected dryland forest just below the property, no one can ever build there. Being at the end of the road, there is no traffic and the noisiest thing is the morning birds. Because I like open spaces, I didn't put in a wall to make this a one bedroom apartment so there is about 700' square feet of space. Looking out from the bedroom, living and dining areas there are wonderful ocean views. There is also a private garden for hanging out.
