About this property

The home has a spacious open floor plan with vaulted ceilings throughout. There is a free standing propane fireplace, flat screen tv with soundbar and plenty of living room space to relax after a day of playing in the large yard or walking for miles on the sandy beach.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs and features a large dining table with seating for eight.

A queen bed is in the main level bedroom, for those that don't want to deal with stairs. The large upstairs master bedroom has a king bed and a great view of the shipping lanes & sunsets. The second upstairs bedroom has a double bed & two twin beds for those families with a lot of kids.

The large yard has its very own horseshoe pit and there is plenty of room to play yard games. The covered deck makes it possible to enjoy a family meal at the outside table, no matter what the weather is doing!

Relax on the deck, while watching an occasional eagle or osprey fly by and listening to the waves crashing on the beach. There is a freestanding firepit and a private boardwalk to your own beach, so don't forget to bring some firewood & the makings for Smores!

Make sure to bring your kayaks or paddle boards, as you can launch them right from your own beach!

Other amenities in the home include wifi, cable tv, a DVD/Blueray player, flat screen TV, propane bbq, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and a washer & dryer. There is a community park just up the street with a playground and baseball diamond, so bring your gloves & bats if you want to play ball! The home is located almost at the end of a dead-end flat road, so bring your bicycles too!

Maxwelton Beach is known as one of the best beaches on South Whidbey, to watch the gorgeous sunsets! Come create memories that will last a lifetime & enjoy all that Whidbey has to offer.

Great Whidbey Getaway

Wonderful location on a long stretch of beach. Beds are comfortable, view are magnificent, and the proximity to wildlife is fantastic. Great for a 2 family getaway. Also an easy drive to the Saturday Farmer's Market, Whidbey Island Donuts, Rocket Taco, etc. Highly recommend!

Thanksgiving

This house was a great fit for our family of three couples and one small dog to spend Thanksgiving together. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing our feast, with the turkey cooked on the barbeque grill. Beautiful setting with lovely sunrises turning the Olympics pink and sunsets creating dramatic outlines. There is good beach access. We brought our small inflatable and set crab pots, and the only downside was not getting any crab. Clean and well cared for, with reasonable requests for guests to keep it that way.

Whidbey - Maxwelton

Overall we had a wonderful stay. Location was amazing and accommodations were as described. Host was very responsive. Only minor concern was Wi-Fi intermittency.
