Our grand Garden Room is located on the main floor of the Primrose Bed & Breakfast. This room is the largest room in the Bed & Breakfast and offers maximum comfortability with the King size bed and ensuite bathroom.

Conveniently located 20 minutes away from Ohio University and 5 minutes away from Hocking College, allowing you to visit your student whenever you please.

Wake up to the delicious smell of a home cooked breakfast. Spend the day exploring and experiencing all Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest. Enjoy a takeout meal from one of our favorite local restaurants. Spend quality time near the beautiful garden. Enjoy a relaxing night where you can unwind and soothe tired muscles in the warm Jacuzzi. Experience the charm of a historic Bed & Breakfast for your Hocking Hills visit. Located in the heart of Nelsonville, guests are 1 block away from the charming Historic Square, HockHocking Adena Bikeway, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, Rhapsody Restaurant, Stuart’s Opera House and numerous other quaint restaurants and storefronts. Guests are just a short drive to Hocking College, Hocking Hills State Parks, Lake Hope State Park, and Ohio University. Stay at our beautiful National Register Victorian House to explore, experience, and enjoy all nearby attractions in Athens, Logan, and Nelsonville, Ohio.

At the Primrose Bed & Breakfast, guests are welcomed to a beautiful peach colored home with a large, spacious front porch with a porch swing. This 1892 home was built by Dr. Isaac Porter Primrose. It was once his doctor’s office and the home to his family. After being a residence for over a century, the home was completely restored as a beautiful Bed & Breakfast. The Primrose House, along with the Hyde House, are two of the oldest homes in Nelsonville.

Upon entering the home, guests will notice the gorgeous oak trim, hardwood floors, colorful stained glass transoms, original kitchen cabinets with marble countertops, and the beautiful antique stove/oven. There is a dining area where homemade breakfast is served each morning, a sitting room where guests can play a game of chess, and lovely outdoor spaces with patios, decks, and a beautiful botanical backyard garden where guests can spend time relaxing, unwinding, or enjoying a take home meal from a local restaurant.

The Primrose B&B was so clean, comfortable, and welcoming! The check process was smooth and breakfast was great every day. The town of Nelsonville was also a great atmosphere, and very convenient for getting to nearby attractions like Hocking Hills. I’d definitely stay here again!

we really enjoy our stay and the other couple that stay there as wellelln

parking a little small , room ok , host was great , a little difficult to check in specially with the carnnaval in town . our next visit will probably be in a different town with more restaurant and closer to the activity.
