A lovely, well-equipped apartment with two terraces. The location is perfect — right next to the old town and with a beautiful sea view. Communication was excellent; the host was always quick to respond and very helpful whenever we needed anything.

Wonderful property in the perfect location. Alex and Rocco were great hosts, happy to assist every time we needed them. This property was right on the edge of the old town and the ideal location for restaurants and the beach. One of the few properties with an outdoor balcony and setting, which we loved. Highly recommend this beautiful home.

The location of the apartment, right on the harbor and within a short walk of the Castle, is perfect for a short week in Puglia. Great food and gelato are readily available. The owner gave great suggestions for nearby restaurants.

We can recommend the apartment very much, since is is located in the old city centre and only 10 minutes walk from a beautiful city beach. We enjoyed the hospitality of Alex and Tocky very much.

Perfect in puglia

We had 2 couples and stayed for one week. It was the perfect location in the perfect town. The apt was comfortable and quiet. We didn’t want to leave. It was clean and everything you needed was there. Thanks to Alex and his wife.

Outstanding property with everything you could possibly need. Alex Ada and Rocky were brilliant hosts . Very helpful and lovely people. I would highly recommend this property. It was such a nice place to come home to at the end of the day out and about. Just like being home!

Alex, the host (and his son Rocco) were always available for questions and information. They were welcoming, friendly and very helpful! We were even provided with a treat basket upon arrival, and Alex left us pastries on the stairs one morning for breakfast (and again, our last morning). The property was absolutely beautiful, and had everything you could possibly need. We are seasoned travelers and would highly recommend this property!

Outstanding stay in fantastic apartment

Beautiful, spacious, well equipped apartment with brilliant outdoor space and in a fantastic location at the edge of the old town. There was absolutely nothing to fault. The host, Alex, was an absolute star - kind and helpful and went out of his way for us. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. Oh, and Monopoli was great as well.

This property is very well located, adjacent to the old town, 5 mins walk to Numeri Primi and Saleka supermarkets and Farmacia Station just 10 mins walk The owners are very nice people and quick to reply to any questions Rocky even drove me to a Farmacia which he found open on a Sunday when I needed bandages for a deep glass cut Wi fi and Aircon worked well and secure door locks Monopoli is a great base from where to visit Alberoberro, Ostuni, Lecce and Polignano a Mare Well recommened

A Gorgeous Home in Beautiful Monopoli

We adore this apartment. Alex and Ada greeted us at 9pm with open arms, so much love and the most thoughtful welcome basket of Italian goodies. The apartment is perfect—pristine, well organized, a properly stocked kitchen and dining room, plenty of towels and bedding—very comfortable beds, the location is top notch and the outdoor dining/terraces of the apartment are absolutely perfect. You don’t want to leave the private rooftop views but you must because Monopoli and it’s surrounding day trip towns (Matera, Locorotundo, Alberobello, Polignano a Mare are dreamy). The apartment is right within old town, within minutes of every attraction, restaurant, plaza, shop, cafe, playground, beachfront walkways, grocery, pharmacy, etc. This apartment is a must stay as you’ll not only receive amazing communication from its owners but also such a warm welcome and stay. We stayed for 8 days and believe it’s perfect for couples, families and friends.

A 5+ Star Stay

When we first stumbled upon this apartment on VRBO, it seemed almost too good to be true - a rooftop terrace and balcony over looking the Adriatic? But everything was as perfect as it looked online. We've rented a lot of different apartments though out the years, but Alex is the one of the most thoughtful and hands on host we've ever experienced. He and his lovely wife Ada provided us with all the information we needed as they showed us around the apartment. It's roomy and comfortable and although we didn’t use the kitchen, it contains everything you need to cook an Italian dinner or a quick breakfast. The beds, real mattresses(!), and memory foam pillows(!), were extremely comfortable. Both full bathroom were clean and well lit and equipt with roomy showers. The location was incredible, easy walking to the old town and city center. There are restaurants and bars around the apartment, but at night we closed the windows and turned on the AC and never heard a sound. Alex was always a text away if we had any questions or issues (we had none) but checked once to see if we needed anything. They were both very considerate, leaving us a basket filled with jam, cookies and other treats and one morning Alex had dropped off two broche at our door! Thank you Alex and Ada for such a wonderful time! We will be back, Joyce and George

Great location and view

Imagine yourself sitting on a terrace and watching the boats in the port, the sea, and the people walk by. Doing this while drinking wine and aperol spritzes makes it even nicer. I spent one entire day sitting on the terrace by the kitchen inhaling the view so I could take the sights and sounds home with me to the US. And, the old town with all its restaurants and charm, is right behind you. The apartment is one floor up from the street. It's a comfortable and nicely decorated home. The owners are the best I have ever experienced in all my years with VRBO. They went above and beyond welcoming us, helping us arrange our departure covid tests, and stocking the fridge with milk and breakfast items, and, of course, coffee! The kitchen, dining room, living room, and 2 bedrooms/1 bath, are located on the main floor. A smaller bedroom is halfway down the stair. A second bathroom is up a circular staircase that leads to the fabulous rooftop terrace. The 2 bedrooms are roomy with armoires. They are at the back of the apartment so you do hear some of the happiness of the diners below.. Windows and curtains help dim those sounds,. Nice big shower, big washer machine. You dry clothes on the terrace. After 6 days there, we were so in love with Monopoli and this apartment we didn't want to leave. It's a gift to yourself to stay here. I know it will be your best 'soggiorno!'

Absolutely fantastic!

We have travelled extensively, and stayed in many homes, but this house is the best we have ever stayed in. The pictures don't do it justice. The outdoor space was absolutely the part of the house we enjoyed the most. There is a large patio right off the kitchen where we spent most of our time either eating at the large table out there or enjoying the awesome view of the water and port. The roof deck is also quite large and had umbrellas and lounge chairs to lay under which was great for days we just wanted to relax and read at home. The rest of the house is really beautiful. The whole house has been very nicely done and renovated, with new versions of everything. Bedrooms have plenty of space and shutters in addition to curtains which were great for keeping out light to sleep late in the morning. Bathrooms were wonderful as well: the showers both have great water pressure and washer was large and came in handy for washing our suits and towels. The kitchen was really nice as well with all new appliances, and a dishwasher. The kitchen is also fully stocked with everything you need to cook, knives, cutting boards, oven pots and pans, and plenty of dishes. We really appreciated the great kitchen and cooked quite a bit during our visit. Alex and his wife have put a lot of thought into the home and it didn't lack any amenities. Also the location of the house is perfect, you don't even need a car as the beach and beautiful old town full of restaurants are only a few minutes walk. The internet and the air conditioners all worked very well. Alex and his wife were wonderful hosts, and great people in general! They treated us like family and were so kind and very attentive to anything that we might need, and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Alex even called and made reservations at a delicious and beautiful outdoor restaurant for us one night since we wanted a special dinner. We have already recommended Alex’s house to all of our friends, and hope to return for a visit soon!

Schöner Urlaub in lebendiger Atmosphäre

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit Lage und Ausstattung dieser Wohnung. Zentral gelegen, nur ein paar Schritte bis zur bezauberten Altstadt von Monopoli. Perfekter Standort um viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden (Matera ca. 70 km ) Unsere Vermieter haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen und alles genau erklärt. Sogar eine kleine Erstversorgung stand für uns bereit. Wir haben uns sofort willkommen und wohl gefühlt.

We are welcomed back like family. The place is perfect for us, walking distance to everything, very clean, trains and tons of restaurants and great walks and swimming in the Adriatic Sea all right there. Owners were extremely helpful and kind and gave us great recommendations.

Eintauchen ins süditalienische la dolce vita

Das schöne und wunderbar renovierte Altstadthäuschen liegt direkt am Fischerreihafen Monopolis. Auf der vorderen Terrasse kann man beim Frühstücken dem Treiben im Hafen zuschauen oder gleich schnell frangfrischen Fisch direkt vom Boot kaufen. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet und ausgestattet und bietet komfortabel Platz für 4 Erwachsene - dazu gibt es ein Kämmerlein mit einem Einzelbett, was aufgrund der Deckenhöhe eher für Kinder/Jugendliche geeinget ist ;-) Das Häuschen ist blitzsauber, die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern prompt, freundlich und sehr hilfreich. Auf der riesigen Dachterrasse kann man sich auf den Liegestühlen sonnen - oder den Schatten unter dem großen Sonnenschirm suchen, sich unter der Außendusche abkühlen und seinen Abendapperativ genießen. Das Häuschen hat dazu auch eine sehr gut funktioniernede Klimaanlage und sehr gut isolierte Fenster, so dass auf Wunsch eine Oase der Ruhe entsteht. Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Häuschen, super zentral direkt an der wunderschönen Altstadt mit seinen vielen Restaurants, Cafes und Geschäften gelegen: Wer gern in das quirlige Leben einer italienischen Kleinstadt eintauchen möchte und die Treppen zum und im Häuschen steigen kann ist hier allerbestens aufgehoben.

Wonderful property!

Rocky and Alex are fabulous hosts. Very responsive and when we couldn't find the house Rocky came looking for us! The property is outstanding with a great location and great view. Monopoli Old Town is just around the corner with wonderful restaurants, cafes and bars. Puglia is a beautiful area of Italy and many small towns are a short distance away. Would not hesitate to recommend this property.

Wonderful apartment in fantastic location

Our stay in this lovely, bright, cheery apartment was near flawless. The apartment itself was roomy, bright, extremely well-equipped, clean, and everything worked well. The kitchen was roomy with a large refrigerator and opened to a beautiful deck overlooking the harbor. The living and dining area was large, bright and functional. The two bedrooms were large with tons of closet space. The master bedroom had a very comfortable bed. The property is located on the edge of the old town, and in easy walking distance to busy piazzas and restaurants. The only caution I would offer is that there are a fair amount of steps to reach the entrance of the apartment. That being said, both my wife and I are in our 70s and I have bad knees, but the steps would not be something that would keep us from staying here again should we return to Monopoli.

2 unvergessliche Wochen in traumhafter Lage

Wir haben 2 wunderschöne Wochen in dem tollen Appartement verbracht und können sie und die Gastgeber unbedingt weiterempfehlen. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet und es fehlt an nichts. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und hochwertig. Von den drei Dachterassen hat man einen fantastischen Blick in den Hafen und über Monopoli. Es ist zur Erfrischung sogar eine Außendusche vorhanden! Alles ist fußläufig erreichbar (Bars, Geschäfte, Restaurants). Selbst der schöne Sandstrand am alten Hafen ist fußläufig erreichbar. Danke an unsere Gastgeber Alex und Familie für diese zauberhaften Wochen! Wir können es nur weiterempfehlen und freuen uns jetzt schon auf nächstes Jahr! Mille gracie!

Sehr schön!

Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr schön und es hat uns alles gefallen. Den Blick von der Terrasse haben nicht nur unser Sohn genossen, auch wir haben gerne den Fischerbooten und dem ständigen Treiben zugeschaut. Die Lage ist perfekt, es gibt sehr viele gute Restaurants und Geschäfte gleich in der Nähe. Alex hat uns sehr liebenswert empfangen und bestens betreut. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr gute Betten und beide Bäder bestens eingerichtet. Ich habe die Dachterrasse sehr genossen, die Dusche ist perfekt und auch mit warmen Wasser ausgestattet. Es wurden sogar badehandtücher bereitgestellt! Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Obstkorb und Milch , Kaffee und Marmelade für das erste Frühstück. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sicher wieder!
