I love this cabin!
For my stay, my friends had rented the Honeysuckle cabin (also a lovely rental) but we ended up with too many folks. Fortunately, I was able to move to the Cowgirl cabin for a couple of days (it was not officially open for rentals yet) and I just fell in love with it. The temperature was perfect for open air sleeping and I was able to leave the sliding doors open all night -thanks to a (rather chic) canopy mosquito netting around the bed. I awoke to an amazing peach colored sunrise with a mist moving in and out of the pasture below; I know it sounds corny, but sitting there in bed, listening to the sounds of nature and absorbing a beautiful moment, I appreciated what an awesome job they had done in creating this cabin and what a pleasure it was to be there. This is not a shack someone tossed up in the back 40 just to rent out; It is however, built with heart and soul, and that labor of love shines through the moment you arrive; From being perfectly tucked into the shaded top corner of a private pasture surrounded by woods, to the little appointments and the simple- yet functioning amenities, I can’t help but smile when I think of the Cowgirl.
I highly recommend this cabin to anyone who enjoys the ideals of camping- but still likes a comfy bed to climb into.
And definitely order the homemade Pizza! For anyone who has not stayed at the Grandview Mountain Cottages it is awesome! And for any repeat customers like me, well, you know what I’m talking about.
