Poor communication. The place was kind of dingy. Three worn out towels for two people for three days. Had to go buy toilet paper. No light in fridge. No instructions how to access cable tv ( we texted but got no answer. Had to text the day we arrived; because we received no checkinin instructions.
expected train noise but not the traffic noise. you need some type of lighting at bottom area of outside stairs. water pressure leaves a lot to desire as does hot water.
Truly a lovely experience despite the reason for my travel( family funeral ) great location, clean, wonderfully responsive owner. Just right! Way cheaper than hotel and more privacy!
We loved the location for access to the VRE. The place lacked some amenities that we have been accustomed to with VRBO. The air conditioning didnât work. It did get fixed but our first night was pretty uncomfortable. There were minimal kitchen utensils, no kitchen towels and not enough towels for us for a week. I used my beach towel I brought. It was also extremely loud at all hours of the night between the train and the cars.
I love trains and my husband rode the VRE to DC for a number of years so it was very fun to be at Lafayette Station! The apartment was perfect for our 4 day stay although I missed my King size bed. Loved the gas rangeđ
